Chapter 10: The Hyuga Twins' 6 Weeks

In the Hyuga Clan Manor, a stern-looking man with long, dark brown hair and featureless white eyes could be seen frowning as three people, who the man could tell were at the level of jonin, wearing cloaks and a mask of the renowned Anbu, but without the actual standardised uniform like the others. Rather, they wore a short, black, midriff jacket with red straps over the shoulders along with the tip-less tantō.

"Hiashi Hyuga, Leader of the Hyuga Clan" The man in the middle wearing a bear mask stepped forward, his authority out of the three clear as the two beside him knelt as he spoke, "We have been ordered by the higher-ups to inform you of your daughters' relations with the Fox Child, Naruto Uzumaki" He said, Hiashi and the other Hyuga Main Branch elders widening their eyes at the sudden declaration

"As you should know, interacting with the demon is prohibited rule. And as the rule was broken, there must be punishment" He said in a threatening tone as he stepped forward a step, triggering Hiashi as he stood up and refuted

"Don't you DARE touch MY daughters, you scoundrels!" With a clenched fist, Hiashi activated his byakugan in an opposing manner towards the man.

"Oh, no need to fear, Hyuga Leader" The bear man chuckled lightly, as if finding the situation fun, "We're sure that you can control your children on your own without our involvement..." The man turned around, his hands behind his back before he looked over his shoulder, "If not, I believe you know what will happen. Goodbye, Hyuga" With that, the three masked men vanished out of the manor leaving no trail.

"Hiashi..." An old lady spoke, worried as she saw her nephew standing up with a petrified expression, "Damn it!" He shouted, sitting back down as he placed his hands on his forehead. He then looked up at the ceiling, a blank expression on his face before it turned serious as he stood back up

"Hanabi and Hinata finish today, correct?" He asked the elders behind him who nodded simultaneously, "I see..." 'I'm sorry, my children' He thought sadly, the 'Anbu' member's words replaying in his mind

The three ninjas appeared in front of a frail, old man, with a cane who has black, shaggy hair, and a bandaged right eye, alongside an x-shaped scar on his chin.

They knelt down, "It is done, Lord Danzo" The middle man informed, his voice full of respect as the man in front of them leant on his cane, a smile on his face.

"Good..." Danzo turned around, his back to the three men, "The demon fox should be prevented from becoming close to others... we shall not let them be manipulated by the monster - we must do what it takes to protect the village" Were his words, "You may return"

"Father! We're home!" Hanabi and Hinata called out, smiles on their faces as they ran to the main room together, "Fa-" Their faces dropped as they saw the scary sight of their father standing alone in the middle of the room, his face darkened to hide his anger, "-ther...?"

"Hanabi. Hinata. Here." He ordered, his voice causing the two girls to jump a little as they began to sweat, stepping forward slowly as they did so, "Now!" He raised his voice, urging the two girls to pick up the pace and stand in front of his towering figure.

"..." He stared at them silently momentarily before speaking, "Tell me... what's your relationship with the Uzumaki boy?" He asked

"Naruto?" Hanabi raised a brow, meanwhile Hinata blushed at the thought of the boy, which Hiashi, unfortunately for her, took notice of.

*Slap!* A loud slap sounded across the room, a fallen Hinata on the floor as she held her marked face with one hand, "F-Father...?" She looked up at him with teary eyes, her heart pounding louder and louder as she saw his face which she found scary.

"Hinata-nee!" Seeing her sister's state, Hanabi worriedly ran over to her and crouched down, checking on her before standing up and looking at her father angrily, "Father! This is too-" Her words were stuck in her now dry throat as she felt her father's presence suffocating her. Her body shook and trembled as she looked into his byakugan-activated eyes, her knees weak as she fell to the floor beside her sister.

"You two will stay away from that boy and never speak to him again... is that understood?" He asked, 'Please... just agree' His chest hurt, seeing his own daughters like this.

"B-But... he's our friend! We can't do that!" Hinata, much to both Hanabi's and Hiashi's surprise, raised her voice even though it cracked a little towards the end as tears ran down her face.

'Damn it... why now do you choose to be strong, Hinata!?' Hiashi frowned slightly, though proud of his eldest daughter's current display, he really wished she did it at another occasion which wasn't like this one, "What was that...?" He asked, his voice angry.

Hinata, however, didn't back down as she stood up while holding her stinging cheek, "I... I can't follow your order this time, father" She argued, "N-Naruto... he's, my friend!" She said with a raised voice.

Her words motivated a smiling Hanabi, who stood up and supported her sister, "Yeah! Naruto's our friend!" She yelled.

"..." Hiashi was silent, his silence causing Hanabi and Hinata to get a little excited as they figured they had won, "Fine..." They smiled, looking at each other with the warm thoughts of hugging each other in joy

"You know... there's only a need for ONE Hyuga heiress" Hiashi said, his final option having to be this he thought, "Both of you, fight to the death, right now" He ordered, shocking the Hyuga sisters.

"W-What..." Hanabi muttered, her eyes about to pop out of their sockets, "N-No..." She knew she was stronger than Hinata. If they were to fight, she'd win without a doubt, but... a deathmatch? She can't kill her sister!

"No?" Hiashi asked, turning to Hinata as he palmed her stomach sending her flying across the room as she gagged and threw up around her

"NO!" Hanabi screamed, tears in her eyes as she went to run to Hinata before being sent flying to the other side of the room, "Gag-Blurghhh!" She threw up similar to Hinata, her eyes weakly peering opposite the room to see Hiashi walking over to Hinata, "N-No... father..." She called out quietly, reaching her arm out as she crawled over to them.

"F-Father... p-please..." Hiashi looked down at the begging, pained Hinata with a strained face, "Please..." She begged with a cough, looking at the crawling Hanabi with a smile, 'I love you' She mouthed, causing Hanabi to widen her eyes as she and Hinata watched Hiashi about to finish Hinata off

'Please! Please! Please! Stop me, someone!' Hiashi pleaded with closed eyes, his arm still moving towards Hinata which didn't seem like it was going to stop, 'Just say you'll do it! I can't lose both my daughters after losing my brother, please!-'

"-We'll do it!" Hanabi shouted, Hiashi's palm coming to a halt a mere centimetre from Hinata's traumatised, pale face, "We won't hang out around him! We won't be friends with him... I-In fact, I don't even know why I was f-friends with him anyway..." Hiashi thanked Hanabi inwardly, acting ignorant to her attempts of gaslighting herself in preparation for her forced future.

"Good" Hiashi nodded, his hands folded behind his back as he left the room, "Nurse!" He called, getting her to treat his daughters.

And so, for the next 6 weeks, Hinata and Hanabi remained in the Hyuga Manor where they completely ghosted both Naruto and Kurogami (After finding out he still remained friends with Naruto, which their father ordered them to ignore him as well) with much reluctancy and disgust towards themselves.

They spent their time training, eating, sleeping, learning proper Hyuga Heiress etiquette for the future, their body and mind's fueled by their weakness in being unable to follow their own path, not being ordered by others to do things they wish not to - this was their destiny as the Twin Hyuga Heiress Candidates

(A/N: Changing their titles from "Potential Hyuga Heiress" to "Hyuga Heiress Candidate" as that matches their situation more - because they're both, as Hiashi's twin daughters, candidates of becoming the heiress where in the end the stronger/better one comes out on top).

-----

A/N: What do you guys think of this plot? I did it so that MC can form actual, more closer bonds with the Hyuga twins after finding out about their problems and attempting to resolve them together.

Next chapter will be Kurogami's 6 weeks holiday and how that went.
