Unexpected
Awakening from his stupor, Naruto turned his gaze to Tsunami "What?"
"Can I ask you a somewhat intimate question?"
"Go ahead."
"How is your life in the village?"
"I already explained it to you a bit. Not entirely pleasant."
"And don't you have someone special?"
"Someone special?"
Without looking at Naruto and having her gaze fixed on the road, Tsunami casually asked "You know, someone you like or something?"

"..." Opening and closing his mouth at being suddenly scolded, Naruto was silent for a long time and sighed as he shook his head "Maybe you're right. With a soft smile, Tsunami continued "Our feelings, no matter how fleeting or naive they may seem, are a valuable part of who we are. They help us grow and understand ourselves, so don't ever do something as horrible as despising your own heart again."
Laughing pleasantly, Naruto nodded "I'll be sure to remember that."
"That's good" Looking at the house in the distance by the sea, Naruto sighed "The trip back seemed to be just a blink of an eye."
"Everything goes by faster when you're having fun."
Arriving at the house as they continued to chat happily, Tsunami opened the door and they walked up towards the second floor.
Gently laying Inari down on the bed, Naruto gave way to Tsunami and watched her tuck him in carefully as a motherly smile covered her face, then gave her a soft kiss on the forehead and got up.
Turning his gaze to the window, Naruto observed the gigantic full moon rising imposingly over the endless sea and sighed as he whispered, "Truly a privileged view."
"We left the best view to Inari" Smiling while leaning on the furniture next to Naruto and observing the gigantic moon, Tsunami smiled and continued "Ever since he was a baby, every time he cried I just had to bring him over here and he instantly calmed down. This place saves me a lot of headaches.
"Can I ask you a personal question?" With the moon reflecting in his gaze, Naruto asked.
"Fair enough."
"Inari's father... what happened to him?"
" His father..." Turning her gaze to the boy and observing his peaceful face, Tsunami smiled bitterly and replied after a moment "He abandoned us."
"He abandoned you?" frowning slightly, Naruto continued "I thought he died."
"That's what I told Inari after discussing it with my father" Shaking her head, Tsunami continued "That man...he used to be one of my father's best workers, and a very good man"
"A good man would not abandon his family."
"He went through a bad time after his mother's death, and bad friendships led him astray" With a melancholy look, Tsunami continued "He ended up developing a very bad habit with drinking and then gambling... I tried to support him and help him get back to himself for a couple of years, but..."
"And what happened?"
"He became violent, and it only took one slap to make me realize that the man I once loved no longer existed" With a self-critical smile, Tsunami continued "My father tried to make me understand over and over again that this marriage could no longer continue, but what could I do? I couldn't just abandon my husband for what I thought was simply bad timing."

Noticing Tsunami's expression, Naruto frowned slightly and asked "If you did something that everyone knows is right, why that expression?"
"It's complicated..." Lowering her gaze, Tsunami was silent for a moment and continued "I feel that all I did was abandon my husband when he went through a bad time, and that maybe instead of judging him, I should just understand that everyone changes and move on... even though I know that what I did was the best thing to do, many times I can't help but feel bad about it."
Staring at Tsunami for a few long seconds, Naruto turned his gaze towards the moon "There is a certain phrase that comes to mind right now and it's something that haunts my mind constantly... "Your words...they are enlightening" After a few seconds of stunned, a beautiful smile blossomed on Tsunami's face as she stared at Naruto's smiling face, then continued "You know...I've been thinking a lot about what you said the other day"
"About dedicating more time for you?"
"Mn" Staring into Naruto's bluish eyes, Tsunami continued "And after that talk, I ended up realizing that I had really neglected myself... I always devoted all my time to others, but I had never devoted some time for myself"

Opening his eyes a little wider at an act he never expected or experienced in his two lives, Naruto's thoughts stalled as he watched his own hand in a daze.

Feeling a shiver run down his back as he watched Tsunami's intense gaze, Naruto swallowed audibly before replying in a trembling tone "B-but why me?"
"Honestly, I don't know... maybe seeing you work so hard every day awakened something in me" Smiling as she shakes her head, Tsunami continued "Or maybe it was the loneliness that enveloped me in endless nights.... Or maybe it's simply because I find you so charming."

"The important thing in my decision, is that I feel incredibly comfortable by your side" Covering Naruto's mouth with her fingers, Tsunami continued in an almost inaudible whisper "Even though my mind screams at me that this is crazy... the truth is that I'm sick of holding back and you don't know how much I thought about tonight."

With trembling hands as his heart beat wildly, Naruto fell on his butt on the bed as his heated gaze instantly observed Tsunami unbuttoning her yukata slowly having her gaze still fixed on him.
