3 ~Chapter 2~

I lay as I felt the comfy sheets on top of me wrapping around me, the soft pillow enveloping my head. 'So I was dreaming after all, so does that mean I'm at the hospital.' I thought as I slowly opened my eyes, I could tell that they have been closed for longer than normal as I had to struggle to make them open. The room I was in wasn't a hospital, it looked more like the room I had visited in my dream while I was searching for a way to avoid the orange fog. Doubt was slowly confining my mind as my eyes darted to the sides of my vision, only to find to my slight disappointment the HUD that had lingered in my sights during my dream, a dream I had now realized was real.

I sigh before straining my arm, legs and body to get up, I could tell they havent been used in a long time. After a bit of struggling I was eventually able to sit up and with the blanket finally off of me I was able to see that my body was currently naked only covered by bandages that wrapped all around me. At that moment the door to my room opened to reveal a woman carrying a tray, on the tray were two bottles with tubes at the ends of them. If a patient was unconscious they would be administered food and water by sliding these tubes down their throat and squeezing the bottle to dispense their contents directly into the patient's stomach.

"I don't need that" I said to the surprise of the woman who seemed surprised at the fact that I was up. The woman quickly collected herself and said "Lay back down boy, you're in no state to be moving right now, and while you do that I'll come back with some actual food." The woman reprimanded me before turning around and leaving the room. I thought to follow her advice, she seemed to be in a bad mood and it wouldn't be a good idea to piss off the person who has been feeding you while unconscious.

Now that I was alone I was finally able to think about what had happened to me. First I died from an explosion from my computer, then I woke up in the body of the character I created only to die again shortly after by Tobi's hand. And I knew I had definitely died, There is no way I survived having my flesh burned off. 'So does that mean I'm in a game or am I in the naruto world with a Elden ring like system or a mix of both?' So far it had been pretty game-like with the tutorial-like area I had woken up in and the orange fog, but there was no way of knowing for sure right now. 'Besides something that has been bugging me for a while now, what do my stats do?' I thought to myself and opened my stats.

[Daido Nakama]

[LV1]

[400HP]

[70CP]

[95SP]

[10 Vigor]

[10 Chakra]

[10 Endurance]

[10 Strength]

[10 Dexterity]

[10 Potency]

[10 Control]

[Equip Load 2.1/45]

[Poise 0]

'Yes, what do these stats do? Sure I have a good idea of what Vigor, Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity do. But what is Chakra, Potency and Control?' I thought and luckily if I focused my vision on any of these stats then I would get an explanation of what they do.

[Vigor - Attribute governing HP(Heath Points)]

[Chakra - Attribute governing CP(Chakra Points)]

[Endurance - Attribute governing SP(Stamina Points) This attribute also determines how heavy your equipment can be(Equip Load)]

[Strength - Attribute required to use Strength Jutsu/Armaments, Also boosts attack power to Strength scaling Jutsu/Armaments]

[Dexterity - Attribute required to use Dexterity Jutsu/Armaments, Also boosts attack power to Dexterity scaling Jutsu/Armaments]

[Potency - Attribute required to use Chakra Jutsu/Armaments, Also boosts attack power to Chakra scaling Jutsu/Armaments]

[Control - Attribute determining Jutsu/Armament cost to CP/SP, Also decreases the effect of fatigue to max CP/SP]

Vigor, Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity were the same as Elden Ring other than the fact that Str and Dex also have Jutsu that they boost the attack power too. Chakra only increased the amount of chakra I had just like vigor. Potency was the same as str and dex but affected Chakra scaling Jutsu and armaments, so if I had a weapon that needed 25 chakra to use I would have to have 25 potency and not chakra. The most interesting stat was control, not that I would be interested in how I have no emotion.

'Though that has changed recently…' I remembered the way I grinned when I faced Tobi, The way I laughed when I saw Kurama the nine tailed beast, I had been feeling emotion recently…'So I can feel emotion… I don't know if I like that statement' I quickly shook off the topic of emotions, it made me… uncomfortable.

Control I assumed was like Chakra Control in the anime, the better your control was of your chakra the less chakra you used, it seemed to also reduce the amount of stamina I use, but the thing that threw me for a loop was the last part about fatigue. Fatigue wasn't something in any souls-like I had played, but when I thought back to when I kicked down the door I had used more than half of my SP in that one kick, and after the second one, my maximum SP had been reduced by a sliver, there was a gray part at the end and my SP refused to grow through that.

'So I'm assuming if I use my SP or CP a lot in succession then my maximum SP/CP will decrease… so exactly like fatigue.' It seemed simple enough, I looked at my SP right now and it was full with no gray parts.

'So if I rest my maximum SP/CP will grow back to its normal state?' After I finalized my thoughts the door to my room opened and who came in was both my caretaker and someone I recognized as an Anbu black ops. The caretaker wheeled in a rudimentary wheelchair made of wood. I analyzed the Anbu, she had a boar mask that was white and wore a gray vest with a black sleeveless shirt underneath.

"The Hokage wants to see you redhead." The Anbu said as she pointed at the wheelchair. I gave her a bright smile and sat up with some effort. My body hurt as I shuffled my way to the side of the bed, the caretaker grabbed my arm and wrapped it around her neck before helping me to the rickety wheelchair.

"Then let's not leave the Hokage waiting." I said as I slumped into the wheelchair, the Anbu grabbed the handles of the wheelchair and we rolled out of the room and the hallway. After going down the hallway we arrived outside, the Anbu never stopping or speaking, as we strolled through the town that looked like feudal Japan, people looked at my or more specifically my arm with pity. Eventually we made it to the administration building, otherwise known as the Hokage Mansion and entered.

We quickly found a problem… stairs. The Anbu sighed before saying "hold on" and without warning she picked me and the wheelchair up effortlessly and ran up the stairs. I held on tightly to the wheelchair and before I knew it we were up the stairs, although slightly rattled. The Anbu rolled me to the Hokage's office before saying "stay here". She left me in front of the Hokage office as she disappeared. After a few minutes of waiting the Anbu appeared again without saying anything and opened the door and let me through to the Hokage.

The 3rd Hokage sat in his chair with a pile of paperwork surrounding him, the old man's face had wrinkles all over it with a stifle of white hair downing his chin, the Hokage had a pipe in his mouth as a puff of smoke seethed through his mouth. Lines kind of like sun rays where on the bottom of both of his eyes, he looked up at me with his gray eyes and had a smirk on his lips. "What's your name kid?" The old man said with a gruff in his voice.

(Hokage Image —>)

"Daido sir!" I said with an enthusiastic tone in my voice. "Ya know your surname Daido?" The Hokage said while puffing on his pipe, his eyes never leaving me. I hesitated for a second, while making my way here I had been debating whether I wanted to do this or not. "Um… what was it that my grandpa said… hmm it was uh… ah yes I Know! My name is Daido Uzumaki sir Hokage!" I say with a bright smile.
