7 Vengeance

In the dimly lit hospital room, Naruto, who had teetered on the brink of death, suddenly opened his eyes once more, a fleeting glimmer of light flickering within them.

Inexplicably, he began to sit up slowly, and despite his expected frailty, his limbs and body now seemed to brim with formidable power.

"Just as I thought, the old guy Sage of Six Paths didn't deceive me. He activated Ashura's Chakra and filled my body with strength," Naruto muttered to himself.

His tone might have been a bit impolite, but he was still yearning for the power of Sage of Six Paths' Six Path.

However, it wasn't the same as the Fourth Ninja War in the original story, and he didn't require Sage of Six Paths' assistance to deal with the resurrected Ōtsutsuki Kaguya. Sage of Six Paths wouldn't bestow gifts so easily in this altered timeline.

Nevertheless, having the Chakra to activate Ashura's power was already a substantial blessing. Sage of Six Paths' soul had been wandering within the world of ninjas, following the transference of Ashura and Indra's Chakra. This allowed him to witness the descendants of his sons in their battles.

That's how he had noticed Naruto's situation in time.

But still, Naruto desired the Six Paths' power, which might have been pushing it.

Ashura, as the son of Sage of Six Paths, didn't inherit the Byakugan but rather the power of the Ten Tails, known as the "Sage Body."

When Ashura's Chakra was activated, even though Naruto was only a day old, he felt an immense surge of power coursing through his body. This not only allowed him to effortlessly sit up but also to turn around and grab the bottle of milk powder nearby.

These were not actions a typical baby could perform.

Naruto grabbed the bottle, eagerly placed the pacifier in his mouth, and then began to feed voraciously.

Although the milk powder was now cold, normal infants couldn't digest it, and it was recommended to consume as little of it as possible.

But in his present condition, Naruto couldn't afford to be picky.

Furthermore, with his newly acquired "Sage Body," these minor concerns no longer held the same significance.

Having unlocked the potential of his "Sage Body" had considerable benefits. For instance, Senju Hashirama had mastered Wood Style because he was also a reincarnation of Ashura's Chakra. Wood Style wasn't just potent; it held many mysteries.

Senju Hashirama, for instance, didn't require seals or medical ninjutsu. He possessed a remarkable self-healing ability, and his vitality was extraordinary. Were it not for his fierce battle against Uchiha Madara, it was unclear how long he would have lived.

Moreover, Senju Hashirama could enter Sage Mode, a unique Sage Mode. It didn't necessitate drawing seals or channeling natural Chakra. All it required was a simple clapping motion.

In reality, Wood Style differed from all other ninjutsu; it was more closely associated with vitality and the Ten Tails.

The Ten Tails was the Divine Tree, and the Chakra it produced and absorbed was not conventional ninja Chakra. It was the power of natural Chakra.

Sage Mode, as most knew, combined conventional Chakra with natural Chakra.

If Wood Style truly had connections to the God Tree, then a Wood Style master could possess Sage Mode capabilities.

This was why Senju Hashirama could suddenly achieve Sage Mode.

....

Naruto devoured a bottle of milk powder as though he were a ravenous beast. Finally, the incessant growling in his stomach ceased, and he lay back on the bed with a satisfied expression, having narrowly escaped the clutches of death.

He was no longer on the brink of starvation, and the threat of death no longer loomed over him. Lying there, Naruto didn't immediately drift into slumber. Instead, he stared up at the ceiling, lost in thought.

In fact, he had already experienced death once, and it was precisely because of his near-death state that the Sage of Six Paths had appeared. In the original story, the Sage of Six Paths intervened when both Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke were on the verge of death.

This time, however, he had encountered a dire situation much earlier.

"I've already died once, nearly starving to death. It seems that I can't stay in Konoha Village any longer."

Naruto's eyes narrowed slightly as a thought crossed his mind. He had decided to leave Konoha Village.

"They didn't even provide me with food, and I nearly starved to death. This Konoha Village claims to love and honor its heroes, but they treated the son of the Fourth Hokage like this? Neglecting him to the point of near-death?"

Naruto's anger grew with each thought. He had truly come close to death, and if the Sage of Six Paths hadn't appeared in time to activate Ashura's Chakra, he might have perished.

As he considered the difficulties and injustices he might face in the future, his frustration and determination grew.

As a reader and viewer, it was easy to overlook the hardships Naruto endured, but now that he was living through them as Naruto, he realized how truly arduous it was. If not for his original counterpart, Naruto, the story might have taken a much darker turn.

Even the alternate, known as Menma in the Road to Ninja movie didn't have it as bad. It was clear that not everyone could withstand Naruto's experiences. The current Naruto was grappling with a surge of emotions, having faced death head-on. After all, he had genuinely tasted death this time.

His parents had sacrificed themselves for the village just last night, and now he had come perilously close to starving to death. Who could endure such a fate?

"But for now, I can't do much except endure it until I can leave Konoha Village and develop some self-defense skills. Then, I can make my plans."

"However, I need to plan ahead. I must start training early. As a transmigrator, I can't afford to lag behind. Tree-climbing exercises, treadmill workouts, and mastering Chakra control need to be prioritized."

"Furthermore, the Nine Tails is my most significant asset. Although the Nine Tails killed my parents in this world, it's not the true culprit. If the Nine Tails is a weapon, the one wielding it is my real enemy."

Thinking of his true enemy, Uchiha Obito, Naruto's eyes shifted, their color almost changing from blue to red.
