Learn from Kurama

Just when Naruto found himself unable to master the art of tree-climbing, he began pondering the elusive Shadow Clone Technique. However, he was frustrated that he hadn't had the opportunity to learn it, as it was typically reserved for Jōnin-level ninja.

In that moment, Kurama, the Nine-Tails, unexpectedly chimed in, "Did you say the Shadow Clone Technique? I can do it."

"You can?" Naruto's eyes lit up with excitement, but he quickly asked, "How can you perform the Shadow Clone Technique? I've never heard of the Nine-Tails using it before."

Kurama snorted in annoyance, although his tone was notably different from his usual demeanor. Naruto paid no mind to the gruff response. 

"Boy, are you underestimating me?" Kurama replied. "Even though I don't need your ninja's so-called ninjutsu, remember that I was sealed inside your mother's body before. I might not have used it, but I've seen your parents employ it."

A smile began to spread across Naruto's face. He realized he had overlooked the fact that Kurama could access his mother Kushina's experiences, and given that Namikaze Minato was the Fourth Hokage, he had definitely used the Shadow Clone Technique.

Kurama continued, "Come to the spiritual world, and I'll teach you how to perform it. But since I haven't used it myself, you'll need to practice it several times."

Without hesitation, Naruto found a spot to sit down, unfazed by the cold ground. Thanks to the protection of his Nine-Tails Chakra coat, he was impervious to the chill.

Naruto swiftly entered the spiritual world, a somewhat perilous state since his physical body was left without conscious control, rendering him defenseless. However, he had developed a habit. When embarking on more advanced training, he would already open up his field of perception to ensure he was safe.

He quickly confirmed that there were no humans or dangerous creatures nearby and delved into the spiritual world. He found himself standing before the cage that imprisoned Kurama.

Seeing Kurama again, Naruto couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. Their relationship was far from one of complete trust, but he was already content with the progress they'd made. As for achieving Kurama Mode and other advanced techniques, they could tackle those issues later.

Kurama, complex emotions aside, got straight to business. He indeed possessed the knowledge of the Shadow Clone Technique's sequence.

However, Naruto had one more question. "So, what are these seals?" he inquired.

Kurama looked at Naruto in disbelief, almost as if he had fallen over. "Are you serious? You're still learning ninjutsu, and you don't even know what seals are?"

Naruto couldn't be faulted; after all, he was a newcomer to this world. Even if he had some prior knowledge before his arrival, he couldn't possibly have known the intricacies of seals because he had never dabbled in such practices.

In this unfamiliar realm, he hadn't been granted the opportunity to learn the basics. Thus, his ignorance was entirely reasonable.

Kurama, realizing the predicament, decided to enlighten him from the very beginning.

Furthermore, Kurama thoughtfully added that every time they needed to perform a seal, he would demonstrate it for Naruto.

Though Naruto found it challenging to commit them to memory instantly, this time, he forsook politeness and activated his Mangekyō Sharingan to swiftly mimic Kurama's motions.

This method would undoubtedly make the learning process more manageable once he familiarized himself with the seals.

"In truth, the true challenge of the Shadow Clone Technique lies in Chakra. Since it produces a tangible clone, half of your Chakra must be allocated to the clone. This is the most demanding and perilous aspect, as when numerous Shadow Clones are created, the original's Chakra becomes significantly depleted. You must exercise caution in this regard," Kurama emphasized the need for vigilance.

Nevertheless, Kurama couldn't resist a triumphant declaration. "But, you are the old man's Jinchūriki, and the old man's Chakra allows you to squander it."

With the Nine-Tails Chakra as his support, Chakra depletion no longer appeared to be a concern.

It was essential to note that excessive Chakra consumption could be perilous for a ninja. Light cases required an extended period of rest and left the individual weakened, while severe instances could prove life-threatening.

Naruto nodded in acknowledgment, but when he regarded Kurama once more, his eyes held a touch of complexity.

The two figures, one large and one small, suddenly lapsed into silence, locking eyes, neither speaking a word.

"Hey, fox, thank you," Naruto suddenly flashed a smile, a genuine one this time, offering a casual "goodbye" wave before departing.

Kurama was momentarily stunned before softly snorting, "Who would say 'thank you' to a tailed beast? Well, not too shabby, you little brat."

Kurama was well aware of how people feared and resented the power of tailed beasts, leading to endless turmoil and sowing seeds of hatred for various reasons.

For Jinchūriki, their misfortune was inextricably linked to their tailed beasts.

Yet Naruto had expressed gratitude, a gesture Kurama hadn't anticipated. It had assumed that rudeness was a given.

It seemed that Kurama's initiative to communicate hadn't been in vain.

Naruto, in turn, grasped that Kurama could have remained silent but chose to speak.

Kurama was unaware of the significance of the Shadow Clone Technique to Naruto and what it represented.

However, Naruto was genuinely thankful for Kurama's assistance.

"At least, this can expedite my growth by a hundredfold," he remarked with emotion upon returning to the real world.

This wasn't an exaggeration. The Clone Technique possessed such an exceptional enhancement effect. If a single Shadow Clone could double the experience gained, what could a hundred of them achieve?

One person accomplishing one task at a time versus a hundred Shadow Clones each completing the same task.

Most importantly, "Now that I've mastered the Shadow Clone Technique, I can multitask. For instance, I can have a Clone take over the main body for practicing tree climbing and water-walking while I continue with my physical training. After all, a Clone can enhance experience but can't replace the actual physical effort."

"Additionally, I can have Clones spar with each other to gain combat experience. This includes practicing riskier techniques, like...genjutsu."
