37 Culprit

When Sato and Yugito walked into the meeting room, the Hyuga Elder had already finished speaking his part.

Currently only a few people were sitting in this meeting room, The Third Hokage, the two elders, and Hyuga clan's representative.

Other than that, only C, Yugito and now Sato were here.

"You are back, Hyuga Elder here just told me that they killed their clan leader."

"And they are ready to hand over his body."

C filled in Yugito on what she missed with a smirk, Yugito heard that and smirked back, so did Sato from the side.

Nobody here questioned Sato's sudden presence, they already knew what he did at the Inuzukas.

Konoha would rather have Sato stay here than one punch more dog parks.

Sitting themselves on their seats, Yugito and Sato both let C do the talking.

C gladly took the job, he was cloud's representative after all, he was good at these situations.

"Sorry for the interruption, where were we?"

C smiled and casually dropped the deadly piece of news.

Konoha's face changed almost instantly, and the most affected was the Hyuga representative.

The Hyuga representative smacked the table in anger, he was acting as if C was questioning Hyuga's integrity.

But C didn't seem to care at all and just watched the elder jump around like a fool.

'They are too calm.'

'They must have figured out that Hyuga clan is planning on giving them a branch member's body.'

'They wouldn't act this way otherwise.'

The Third Hokage thought sadly while taking a puff of his pipe.

Neither he nor the three Elders actually wanted to lose a Byakugan

But now that Hidden cloud knows about their plan, they might have to compromise in some way

Still, he will try his hardest to make sure Konoha dosen't lose a Byakugan to hidden cloud.

He would rather kill all the Hyuga involved in this incident to calm down the hidden cloud.

This same thought was running through the minds of the both third Hokage and the elders, as if they were in sync with each other.

And after thinking of this solution, the Hokage and the elders relaxed simultaneously, Third Hokage was very experienced in handling people so he didn't show anything on his face.

But the Elders weren't as good as he was, so one of them happened to coldly look at the Hyuga representative.

Everyone here saw that and thought the elder was disappointed with the Hyuga clan.

'Something is wrong.'

Yet Sato didn't think the same, he knew Konoha high level's attitude really well, he knew they must be planning something shady.

'There are only two ways to avoid giving us a Byakugan now, one is to kill us and declare war on hidden cloud.'

'The other is to kill the Hyuga and apologize to us, and I think I know what they will choose to do.'

Sato thought grimly, but he still wasn't fully sure, this was just a guess, he had to verify it first.

Meanwhile the Hyuga representative didn't know any of this, he wanted to try and lie a few more times, what if the hidden cloud was just bluffing?

"What does hidden cloud mean by looking at me like that, we are the noble Hyuga clan-"

"Stop trying to defend yourself, you sound like an idiot."

Sato suddenly said in a very disrespectful way, which stopped the Hyuga clan representative from speaking further.

Sato had decided to step in personally after telling C about it, he was going to build a trap for Konoha and expose the truth.

'Let's see if I am right.'

Sato thought cheerfully, he decided to use this opportunity and make a large mess.

He did not like being stopped from roaming around the village, Konoha was going to pay for it's actions.

"You.."

Meanwhile the Hyuga elder frowned while looking at Sato, but he didn't lose his calm, after all he knew who Sato was.

Sato had already humiliated the Hyuga clan back when he first came into the village, the representative didn't want to get humiliated as well.

He was very careful with his approach when Sato was the one speaking.

"What do you mean by that?"

The Hyuga elder asked slowly, but he already knew the answer to the question in his heart, this could only mean that hidden cloud already knows about their plan.

Sato heard the careful question and folded his hands condescendingly.

"What do I mean by that?"

"I am telling you to stop making these pitiful attempts at saving your patriarch."

"Seriously, have you looked around? Hokage sama himself is disappointed in your clan."

Sato laughed as if the Hyuga clan representative was a big joke.

He might look like he was mocking for the sake of mocking but he was constantly looking at the Hokage as he spoke.

"Hyuga elder, let me spell it out for you, your clan killed our hidden cloud's ninja, Konoha dosen't care about your clan anymore because of this."

"You might not want to face it, but your clan's integrity is of no use to Konoha's situation."

"Hokage sama wouldn't waste a single second to sacrifice your worthless people if it brings stability to Konoha."

"Am I right, Hokage sama?"

Sato said everything after careful consideration, he knew that if he was right, he had all but trapped Konoha after this.

And he was indeed right, there was absolute silence in the meeting room now, yet everyone here was silent for totally different reasons.

The Hyuga elder was angry and sad, still, he knew that this wasn't his turn to speak, the Hokage was supposed to speak first in this situation.

But the Hokage and Elders were busy cursing Sato in their minds.

'How did this boy know that we were planning to kill a few Hyuga instead of giving them a Byakugan?'

Elder Koharu thought with fear and suspicion.

'Now if we still kill the Hyugas involved in this incident, we will just prove that he was telling the truth, and play right into his trap.'

Elder Homura thought with caution.

'Sato Nii, were his words a coincidence or did he understand what we were planning and purposely choose his words?'

'Because he said it so clearly, we can't kill the Hyuga under any circumstances now, unless we want to prove we want to weaken the Hyuga.'

'He got us in a checkmate, we might have to lose a Byakugan after all.'

Third Hokage took a puff of his pipe and sighed.

Now he needed to think of minimising the damage.

They needed someone from the Hyuga clan that they can sacrifice, but this person also must not know any secrets.

So the Hyuga they need to sacrifice preferably must a child, only they know nothing, not even their clan Justus.

On top of that, it cannot be a random child, it must be someone involved in this whole situation.

'There is only one such person.'

Thought The Third Hokage, he knew a child who was involved in everything and was young enough to know nothing.

Someone who fit their needs perfectly.

"Sato kun, you are misunderstanding us."

"We are ready to hand over the cause of everything to the hidden Cloud."

"All this started because of Hyuga Hinata, she is the main culprit who caused all this misunderstanding."

"Konoha is prepared to kill-"

*BANG*

Suddenly the door to Konoha's office opened with a bang, and a red eyed Hyuga Hiashi storm into the room.

There were veins popping on the side of his head, an indication that his Byakugan was activated, he had seen and understood everything they had discussed.

Including the death of Hinata Hyuga, and from his twisted face, he didn't seem to like it very much.
