Compromise

The Third Hokage walked forward with his Hokage robes dancing in the wind.

It was as if he wanted to show the whole world..

That he was still the Hokage!

"You did well Shisui, I'll take it from here."

The Third Hokage's soft smile didn't make Shisui any less nervous.

He realised this was an order, he was being told to get lost immediately.

The Third was taking over and Shisui wasn't needed here anymore, that what those grandfatherly words meant.

'I messed up..'

Shisui resisted the urge to sigh with frustration, he was really tired of the constant suspicion from his own village.

'Why doesn't Konoha trust us Uchiha.'

'In situations like this we should stand together!'

Shisui thought helplessly but nodded to the third Hokage and flashed away.

Shisui was different from Itachi, he was a gentle man but he wasn't a fool.

He had seen with his own eyes how Konoha sacrificed the Hyuga head without hesitation.

This was a show of power by Konoha and a suppression of the Hyuga clan, Shisui knew that.

He also knew that the Konoha High level feared the Uchiha and thus hated them.

But this was why Shisui was forced to put his trust on the third Hokage.

The Third was the only High level existence who wasn't going to put a knife in their back immediately.

Shisui might not agree to a lot of things the Third does, but he truly believed if any high level was going to help them, it could only be the Third.

But what Shisui failed to take into account was if the Third even wanted to help them..

*Swish*

With Shisui flickering away Yugito's eyes narrowed.

Neither C nor Yugito were idiots, they figured out almost immediately that Konoha's fear of Uchiha has reached a very high level.

Sato managed to notice something like this and blew up their fragile relationship in one shot.

'Nice Sato!'

C was cheering like a fangirl in his mind.

'That's my brother! Take that you bastard teleporter!'

And Yugito was in a similar situation with Matatabi in her mind.

But outwardly both of them sandwiched Sato inbetween each other.

As soon as Shisui left the scene, Konoha's pressure on them vanished almost entirely.

There was no one remaining in Konoha who could threaten them like Shisui Uchiha could.

Yugito and C took advantage of that and glared at the third Hokage with anger.

They were now ready to use this Hyuga elder as a bait to demand more compensation.

"Konoha will give Cloud an explanation."

But before Yugito could even open her mouth, the third Hokage folded by himself.

'Huh..?'

Yugito was speechless.

It was then that she remember why the third Hokage was forced to step down as konoha's kage after the previous war.

Konoha had won that war fairly, but their third Hokage was such a coward he bowed down to the other villages and agreed to receive no compensation for Konoha.

All those lives lost, all that material looted and homes burnt, the Third ignored everything as soon as he was the one who had to face the Kage's during peace talks.

As far as Yugito was concerned, this man was a legitimate coward.

C meanwhile was thinking about this much more deeply than Yugito.

'I wonder.. this explanation that he is talking about..'

'Is it Konoha who will compensate us or the Hyuga's in particular.'

'Does Konoha want to weaken the Hyuga clan using us?'

C thought with a curious smile while he stood beside Yugito and Sato.

"Good."

But Yugito herself didn't think about it too deeply, all she cared about was getting a compensation.

As for who gives it, why would the Cloud care?

"Huff."

"Please follow the old man, I'll show you around your residence."

The third Hokage breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at the group.

His eyes briefly passed over Sato, as if unintentionally, but Yugito managed to catch it.

"This is my brother, Sato Nii."

"He has come this time to see Konoha's prosperity~"

Noticing the questioning gaze Yugito introduced Sato.

She was basically forced to introduce Sato at this point, he had done some pretty outrageous stuff just now.

Not only did he make the Hyuga clan representative snap, he also wasn't affected by a large amount of killing intent.

The final and most important thing was that Sato managed to blow up the whole Uchiha situation.

He made such a simple yet effective plan that even if the Third knew this was a trap, he had to step into it.

Sato had successfully attracted Konoha's attention because of that, and Yugito was there to become his protection.

"Sato Nii?"

"It's a good name."

"Did you join the Ninja academy yet, Sato kun?"

The Third spoke to Sato while walking peacefully, he looked at Sato as if he was genuinely curious about his answer.

"I haven't started the academy yet, Hokage sama."

Sato replied with proper courtesy, his good attitude made the Third laugh a good natured laugh.

With the Third purposely showing kindness, the Cloud team slowly let go of their anger as well, everything soon became peaceful with the group.

Walking through Konoha's bright streets and wonderful climate, they no longer looked like a ninja team on a mission.

The Third didn't make any more small talk with Sato and kept talking with C, who was their representative right now.

Meanwhile Sato was paying attention Konoha and it's citizens.

He was trying to see if he can find any known faces in this Village.

But until he reached his temporary house he still found no known face.

"That's a shame."

Sato muttered, he wanted to meet more plot characters.

Both for his mission and in general.

Now that he was in Konoha, he was going to visit as many known places as he could.

The first of those was going to be the Ichiraku ramen, he was going to go there the first thing tomorrow.

Maybe he might bump into Naruto there, meeting the real Naruto wasn't an opportunity Sato was going to pass over.

A good relationship with the protagonist was a great thing in this world, Sato wanted to truly befriend Naruto if possible.

And with the he decided his plans for tomorrow, now Sato was free to pay attention to a matter he had been ignoring for a while.

"What are you doing?"

Sato asked softly while staring at C, who had been acting suspicious for a while now.
