Michikatsu and the Anbu ninja reached the Hokage's office shortly after their encounter in the forest.

"The Hokage is waiting for you inside," the Anbu ninja informed Michikatsu, gesturing toward the door.

With a nod of acknowledgment, Michikatsu entered the Hokage's office. Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, turned his attention to Michikatsu as soon as he walked in.

Michikatsu, showing his respect, offered a slight bow and addressed the Hokage, "Hokage-Sama, you called for me?"

Hiruzen's eyes held a curious glint as he responded, "Yes, I was curious about your early return from the battlefield."

Michikatsu explained the reason behind his return, his tone respectful and straightforward. "As you're aware, the border conflicts have simmered down for now. Our squad, stationed at the border between the Rain Country and the Fire Country for an extended period, was granted permission to return to Konoha. Another squad will take our place. I requested early leave to attend my brother's first day at the academy, securing permission from Tsunade-Senpai."

Hiruzen nodded in understanding, acknowledging the significance of family. "I see. I've also heard about your brother's remarkable performance at the academy. It seems he possesses the same genius as you."

Michikatsu concurred, pride evident in his voice. "Indeed, he's quite gifted. He can hold his own in one-on-one combat against a Chunin. However, I've decided to let him continue his studies at the academy for at least a year. It will provide him with valuable experiences."

Hiruzen smiled, a sense of optimism in his expression. "That's a wise decision. I'm pleased to see new geniuses emerging in Konoha. They will undoubtedly contribute to the strength of our village."

Michikatsu chose to remain silent in response to the Hokage's optimism regarding the emergence of new geniuses in Konoha. While Hiruzen expressed his satisfaction at the prospect, Michikatsu harbored a certain skepticism, particularly about what the future might hold for these gifted individuals if they were not aligned with Hiruzen's faction.

Hiruzen, recognizing the need to delve into matters of more immediate concern, changed the topic. "What are your thoughts on how long this period of relative calm in the war will last?" he inquired.

Michikatsu's expression grew serious as he contemplated the question. "In my estimation, this calmness is merely the quiet before the storm. We did engage Amegakure in battle, but apart from Hanzo, no one there posed a significant threat to Konoha. Even Hanzo would be no match for you if you were to join the battle. The true concerns lie with Iwagakure and Kumogakure. Despite their military strength, Iwagakure's involvement in the Second Ninja World War was mostly superficial. However, if Iwagakure and Kumogakure decide to launch serious attacks, we may find ourselves embroiled in the Third Ninja World War."

Michikatsu's assessment painted a sobering picture of the uncertain future, where the fragile peace could give way to a storm of conflict, and Konoha would need to be prepared to face formidable adversaries.

"Your assessment is accurate. Even after my own analysis, I've reached the same conclusion, so we must ensure that Konoha is well-prepared," Hiruzen acknowledged, his demeanor reflecting a sense of responsibility for the village's future.

Hiruzen then shifted the conversation to a matter closer to Michikatsu. "Now that you've attained the rank of Jonin, have you considered taking on students?" he inquired.

Michikatsu pondered the question for a moment before responding, "I currently have no plans to take on students or team members. However, in about a year's time, I intend to take Kakashi under my wing after he graduates. I will personally guide him to further enhance his strength."

Hiruzen nodded, his expression thoughtful. "I see. Your plan aligns with the vision of the Konoha Council. We've decided to pair you and Nawaki as a duo, and you both have gained recognition in the world under the moniker 'Demon Duo'—'Blood Demon' for you and 'Fist Demon' for Nawaki."

Michikatsu absorbed this information, musing over the idea. "So, you're aiming to create something akin to the Sannin, is that correct?" he asked.

Hiruzen confirmed Michikatsu's suspicion with a nod. "Indeed, that's precisely what we have in mind."

Michikatsu, displaying his willingness to contribute to the village's future, responded affirmatively. "I don't see any issue with that plan. I'm in agreement with it."

"Alright, then. You may go and rest, spend time with your family. We have a significant battle ahead, and Konoha will require you at your best," Hiruzen advised with a tone of responsibility.

Michikatsu acknowledged the Hokage's words with a nod and exited the Hokage's office.

Upon returning home, Michikatsu found Sakumo and Kakashi engaged in conversation. Sakumo, curious about the reason for Michikatsu's summons, inquired, "Why did the Hokage call for you?"

Michikatsu offered a simplified explanation, not divulging too much detail. "Not much, just to inquire about my early return and my perspective on the impending war," he replied.

Sakumo nodded in understanding, his guess aligning with Michikatsu's brief explanation.
