Written Examination

"That's weird, the system didn't give me any quests related to the chunin exam…" Naruto thought as he prepared to join his teammates at the exam venue.

Team 7 was now finally ready for the chunin exam and after a small run-in with some ninjas who wanted to test their resolve, the group encountered another genin team from Konoha.

The team consisted of: Rock Lee, an energetic boy with a skin-tight green jumpsuit and a bowl cut; Neji Hyūga a serious boy with long brown hair and white eyes characteristic of the Hyūga clan and finally Tenten, a brown haired girl with two buns and a pink qipao-style jacket.

Naruto was in a bad mood after seeing Rock Lee trying to flirt with his girlfriend, Sakura having to beg the boy not to start a fight against Lee.

"Hey there! You weren't very polite to me! Except you my little Sakura-chan, you're a sweetheart." Rock Lee appeared in front of Team 7 while they were in a large empty room.

"You want to fight!" Growled Naruto coming forward, he couldn't stand seeing the stalker coming back to flirt with his girlfriend.

"Hmm? I was just planning to teach a lesson to your teammate who wouldn't tell me his name because he considered me weak. But I can also give you a beating!"

The two genins quickly launched into a hand-to-hand fight, Naruto quickly noticed that his opponent's taijutsu skills were far superior to his and that a gap opened up.

"Damn, I underestimated him!" Naruto who was in a defensive position, decided to use another to fight him.

"What is he doing? How can this misfire pull off this kind of move." Sasuke thought as he saw Naruto suddenly change his fighting stance and start attacking Rock Lee with palm attacks.

"I recognize these movements, it's the jûken of the Hyûga clan! Neji however told me that only the members of his clan have the Byakugan can use it." Lee immediately recognized the movements of the boy who was close to his teammate's fighting style. "It's a shame he doesn't have the Byakugan because his technique is perfect."

Even by completely mastering the Jûken, Naruto who did not have the Byakugan could not use this fighting style 100% and finally lost the fight.

"Ahahah it's a shame but you lost against me." Said Lee with a big smile.

"No, it's not over!" Naruto activated his chains and swung them towards his opponent.

"Hmm looks like I have to get serious." Rock Lee easily dodged the chain blows of Naruto who couldn't keep up with the high speed of the green genin and quickly managed to send the boy waltzing then jumped up to position himself behind his back.

"Watch out Naruto!" Sakura shouted.

"[Shadow of the Dead Leaf], what is he planning to do?!" Sasuke said with a surprised tone.

Rock Lee who was in the air behind Naruto, took off his bandages around his hands and taught himself to finish his opponent but his action was interrupted because of a person outside the fight who suddenly appeared between them.

"That's enough, Lee!" Said a giant reddish turtle, it was he who had interrupted the attack of the genin.

"I'm sorry, I got carried away with the fight and he was also using a jutsu against me." Lee was starting to get distraught and tried to come up with excuses to give the turtle.

"This technique is forbidden, Lee!"

"A talking turtle? Is that Lee's sensei?" Naruto was puzzled by the creature as Sakura checked on its condition.

"It was reckless to fight Lee, Naruto!"

"He was far too familiar with you..."

"Moouhh Narutoo."

"It's up to you to play Gai-sensei, I leave it to you." The turtle exclaimed as a man appeared on its back.

"Hmm I see the crazy madness of youth in front of me!" shouted a man who looked like Lee, wearing the kind of green jumpsuit and the same haircut.

"Eh?!"

"Who is it?!"

"Damn there's a clone of Lee that appeared."

"Such a moron!" Gai hit his student and gave him a lesson on these actions, the scene could have provided emotions if the two men did not hug each other in tears at the end.

"I found idiots of the same level as Naruto..." Sasuke had a headache as he left first.

"Let's go too." Sakura said softly as the two men in front of her continued their "strange comedy scene.

"Gai-sensei I need to talk to you about something." Rock Lee told his sensei the unfolding of the fight and the technique used by Naruto.

"Yes, I've seen it all, Lee. This boy actually used the Hyuga clan's jūken. I don't understand how it's possible but this style is useless without the byakugan. I hope those old croutons of this clan will not be looking for trouble when they learn that a stranger possesses their technique."

"Naruto Uzumaki..." Rock Lee said thoughtfully as he memorized the name of his new rival in his mind.

Team 7 finally arrived at the place where the exam will take place, Naruto and Sakura had taken the path indicated by Karin and Hinata who were already waiting there. They received a last word of encouragement from their sensei Kakashi before finally entering the room.

"There are a lot of people!" Said Sakura observing the many ninjas present in the room.

"Why do they look at us so badly!" Naruto didn't like the way their gaze was reaching Sakura, he had obviously seen Karin in a corner of the room but couldn't approach her yet.

"Sasuke-kun! I missed you so much!" A young blond girl jumped on the boy.

"Oh hi Ino." Sakura quickly greeted the blonde girl before returning to chat with Naruto.

"What?! What's happening to this girl, I'm still sticking to Sasuke-kun but she doesn't react. And since when is Sakura so close to this failure!" Ino thought seeing that she was being ignored by her childhood friend.

Ino Yamanaka was a genin of the same generation as Team 7. She had long blonde hair tied in a ponytail, leaving a long blonde streak almost covering her right eye. She was a girl who liked to tease people around her and was Sakura's rival for getting Sasuke's attention.

Then came Ino's teammates; Shikamaru Nara the boy who always had a bored and tired expression and Chōji Akimichi a boy with a round build and swirl marks on his cheeks, spiky brown hair and constantly eating an endless bag of chips.

"Ahahah seeing you all together reminds me of the academy." Said another boy with a gray coat, two red tattoos on his face and a little white dog. He was the leader of Hinata's team, Kiba Inuzuka.

"Hello everyone." Said Hinata shyly, she had trouble hiding her change of relationship towards Naruto and tried to ignore him.

The last member of their team was Shino Aburame, a quiet boy who spoke very little and had only his only physical characteristic, his dark glasses and was a lover of insects.

The Konoha genins of the same generation started talking about their different missions under the menacing gaze of the other participants who didn't like this group of kids who were talking loudly.

"Hey guys you should calm down, you're making a lot of noise for young genin. We're not in a playroom." Said a bespectacled man with gray hair, he was also wearing a Konoha headband.

"Who are you to talk to us like that?" Ino exclaimed.

"My name is Kabuto Yakushi and I have been taking this exam for 4 years. As you are beginners, I can give you information that I have collected at each exam." Kabuto presented the young genins with several cards containing information on almost all of the participants.

"I want information about Rock Lee from Konoha Village and Gaara from Suna Village Desert." Sasuke asked.

"Rock Lee is 1 year older than you and is an expert in taijutsu but not very competent in other areas and his teammates are Tenten and Neji Hyūga."

[Sakura: Hyuga?! Hinata, do you know him?]

[Hinata: Neji is my cousin and he's a very strong and arrogant person]

"Then Gaara of the desert, he is a new ninja who has accomplished several dangerous missions without ever being injured."

"He must be really strong." Shikamaru muttered.

As his friends chatted with Kabuto, Naruto silently listened back and stared at the bespectacled man. He had used [Wind of Truth] on him and observed through his red aura that he considered him an enemy and with Karin's confirmation, that he was lying saying he belonged to Konoha.

"A problem, Naruto Uzumaki?" Kabuto asked with a mysterious smile.

"Eh?!"

"You've been staring into space thinking about something since I appeared."

"Ahahhah no I was just thinking about lunch, I woke up late for the exam and couldn't eat or wash." Said Naruto with a silly smile.

"You are truly irredeemable." Kiba growled.

"Yuck, don't get too close to us." Said Ino, stepping slightly away from the blond boy.

"Why is this boy giving me that suspicious look, it's impossible that he guessed my true identity. But he dodged my question by pretending to be stupid…" Kabuto thought, giving Naruto a last look

"Naruto has a peculiar behavior since the academy… He hides something with Sakura and now even Hinata has a change in her behavior. She is much less shy in Naruto's presence when she could pass out if they touched ." Thought Shikamaru observing with a discreet look his blond comrade.

Kabuto then explained to the genins that they were surrounded by several other villages such as Otogakure, a small ninja village and that they were the elite of their nation.

Suddenly a group of ninjas bearing the symbol of Otogakure attacked Kabuto and smashed his glasses. One of them used a sound-linked attack to hurt their enemy, the genins watched in dismay at the mysterious attack that hurt Kabuto.

"For someone who passes the exam so many times, you are very pathetic." Said the leader of the group that had injured Kabuto, his entire face was covered with a blindfold showing only one eye. He didn't like the way his village was viewed.

"Write on your cards that the ninjas of Oto will pass the exam." Said his black haired companion.

"Calm down brats! Sorry for the delay, I'm the examiner for this test Ibiki Morino." Said a man who appeared in the room accompanied by several Konoha chunins. Ibiki was a tall ninja with several scars on his face and a bandana on his head.

"That's enough Oto ninjas, this place is not an arena and I don't want anyone hurt or dead in my presence." Warns Ibiki.

He then asked the genins to sit each on a desk and then explained the course of the test.

The first test was a one hour written exam with ten questions and they could only cheat 5 times before being eliminated. Several examiners watching the actions of the genins to test their reactions under stress.

"I learned a lot from the lessons my wives gave me, I don't even have to cheat to pass this exam." Thought Naruto as he settled right next to Hinata and looked at his exam sheet.

"..."

[Naruto: Can you give me the rewards, please 😁?]

Naruto with the help of his women easily managed to answer the different questions, at the same time the other genins also used their different techniques to cheat and get answers. Ino's for example involved Sakura as she reentered her body but to her surprise shortly after getting the answers, Sakura turned to her to glare at her.

"This filthy plague dares to cheat on me!" Sakura was boiling with rage when she learned that her spirit had left her body, fortunately her companions had notified her of this.

Time passed quickly, leaving only half of the participants in the room, Ibiki then announced the appearance of a last question but that it had a particularity.

If a person decides not to answer this question then he will be eliminated and will be able to retake the next exam but if we decide to answer it and we are wrong then the team will remain at the rank of genin all their life.

Most of the less confident ninjas quickly left the room, abandoning this ordeal. Obviously Naruto and the others were confident enough to attempt this last question and to their surprise, they were qualified for the next test.

"But what is this stupid test for?" Asked Temari who was outraged at the way the man was doing.

"This test tested your ability to gather information in stressful situations because in life information is more important than your own life. Incorrect information can harm your teammates and your village and this test analyzed your determination. Those who do not want to risk their life in a critical situation and give up, cannot become chunins." Ibiki explained pointing to his skull covered with scars caused by these dangerous missions.

As Ibiki announced the genin's success in this first test, a woman suddenly came through the window and introduced herself as their second examiner, Anko Mitarashi.

Anko was a woman with a slender figure, pupilless light brown eyes, and purple hair styled in a short ponytail. She wore a dark orange miniskirt, a fishnet outfit that hugged her body and highlighted her large breasts and a beige overcoat.

"Ibiki you let 26 teams pass, your test was way too easy." Said Anko with a displeased expression.

"You are wrong, we have just good elements this year."

"Pff anyway with the next round I'm going to get rid of half of them."

"Half?!"

"She's completely nuts!"

"Well, see you tomorrow morning. Ask your sensei for the location of the next test." She then disappeared in a smokescreen.

"..."

"..."

"The Konoha ninjas are completely nuts!"
