13 The Kingdom of Roran

Seeing this, Satoru didn't linger any longer and walked out of the office with a small laugh.

The door closed gently.

Yahiko looked at Konan helplessly, "You... I think you still need more experience. Besides, I've just taken over as Amekage, and I haven't had time to arrange missions for you. So, next time when Nagato returns, you can go with him."

He noticed Konan's eyes flicker when she heard a knock on the door.

"Do you have a conflict with Satoru lately?" He suddenly asked.

Since the last cliff incident, he noticed that Konan's attitude towards Satoru had become colder, which left him somewhat puzzled.

When Konan heard this, she immediately retorted, "That annoying guy, what's the problem between me and him?"

But her eyes flickered, and it was clear that there was something hidden in her heart.

Konan knew well that the root of everything lay with the charming white-haired youth she had seen before she fell into a coma.

As a daily companion, Yahiko could recognize Satoru, so how could she not know him?

She was a little angry; Satoru did everything on his own initiative and never discussed it with them.

He seemed to have become someone in another world, distant from them.

Yahiko was unaware of this thought in Konan's mind. He believed that everyone was a partner, and more important missions were awaiting them now.

He sighed, looked at her, and said, "I've just assigned Satoru a mission, and I'm not worried about him going alone. How about you come along and watch over him?"

As he spoke, a scroll was handed to Konan.

"Who wants to go on a mission with that annoying guy!" Konan exclaimed loudly, but her hand unconsciously took the scroll.

"By the way, I clearly told Yahiko that I wanted to complete this mission alone."

At the border of the Land of Wind, Satoru looked at Konan sitting beside him and said helplessly.

He remembered that he had clearly stated his preference to Yahiko at that time, but now it seemed that the others were not following his own idea.

This left him a little confused and slightly embarrassed.

Konan had a cold attitude towards him, and Satoru could also detect it, but he didn't know what offended her.

At this moment, the relationship between him and Konan was somewhat complicated.

The carriage moved slowly on the bustling streets, with shops and stalls on both sides of the road full of colors and crowded with people.

At this moment, a group of people in beautiful costumes suddenly appeared in front of them, blocking their path.

These people were dressed in beautiful silk robes, golden crowns on their heads, and holding royal scepters, indicating their extraordinary status.

They all wore serious expressions on their faces, as if they were on an important mission.

The prominent man stepped forward, with a hint of respect in his eyes. He asked politely, "Excuse me, are you the envoy from Amegakure?"

Satoru looked at the people in front of him and knew in his heart that they had encountered someone from the Kingdom of Roran.

He nodded slightly and replied, "Yes."

"Please, follow us." The man humbly guided him to follow them.

Crossing the border of the Land of Wind, the trees gradually disappeared, replaced by endless desert.

The wind and sand intertwined in the air made Satoru feel a little uncomfortable.

"Envoy, the Kingdom of Roran is ahead."

After an unknown period, after crossing this vast desert, the surrounding noise gradually became audible.

Satoru understood that they should be close to their destination. He stretched his head, and what he saw was a towering tower reaching into the sky.

Unlike the surrounding desert, the Kingdom of Roran appeared prosperous and vibrant.

Satoru sighed quietly; this was the place he was looking for.

Entering the territory of the Kingdom of Roran, they both got off the carriage and set foot on this exotic land.

"Please follow me; the queen has been waiting for you in the palace." The leader respectfully led them forward.

Satoru followed from behind, walking into the grand hall with Konan.

The decorations in the main hall were very luxurious, and every detail showed the wealth and prosperity of Roran.

However, when Satoru's eyes fell on the young queen sitting on the high platform, he showed a slightly surprised expression.

This queen, though still young, exuded a majestic temperament.

Her red hair cascaded like a waterfall on her shoulders, and her beautiful clothes made her figure even more graceful.

He was secretly amazed.

"I see you're surprised." Konan said with a hint of mockery.

Satoru shrugged lightly, still looking at the young queen, "I didn't expect the queen of the Kingdom of Roran to be so young. Don't you find this interesting?"

"No." Konan's response was still cold.

Satoru shrugged again, and they had reached the center of the hall.

They both turned slightly to greet the Queen, "Greetings, Your Majesty."

The Queen smiled and nodded, her face showing a friendly and welcoming expression, "Welcome, envoys from Amegakure, to our Kingdom of Roran. Upon hearing that Amegakure has established an Amekage, the Kingdom of Roran hereby sends our blessings and sincerely invites the Amekage to make a treaty with us."

"We hope that both nations can live harmoniously and prosperously together."

"I am deeply honored." Satoru bowed slightly.

"Soon, the Kingdom of Roran will hold a grand ceremony. At that time, we sincerely invite both envoys to participate and witness the glory of the Kingdom of Roran."

"We hope that through this ceremony, Amegakure will understand that the Kingdom of Roran is not only a wealthy nation but also a nation with strong power."

Satoru smiled and nodded, "Of course, Your Majesty. We will definitely arrive on schedule to celebrate this grand occasion together."

However, as soon as he finished speaking, he felt a pain in his waist, as if he had been lightly pinched by something.

He turned to see Konan standing beside him, with a hint of anger in her eyes.

Satoru felt a little confused and asked, "What's wrong?"

Konan seemed to realize her mistake and quickly withdrew her hand and turned her face away, "Please maintain respect for the Queen."

"There seems to be an unspoken understanding between the two envoys." The Queen chuckled, then she gently ordered, "Both envoys must be tired after a long journey. I have prepared comfortable guest rooms for you. Please follow the servants and rest."

"Thank you very much for your kindness, Your Majesty." Satoru replied with a smile.

However, as everyone was about to leave, he suddenly stopped, his eyebrows slightly raised, and his black eye covering pointed east.

There was a hint of doubt in his eyes, as if he had found something interesting.
