27 The Fourth Hokage

"Throughout heaven and Earth... I alone am the honored one?"

Deep within the dense forest of Amegakure, Obito was currently sitting at the top of a tree, gazing at Satoru hovering in the sky.

The presence of the other party and his strong aura made Obito feel afraid.

He muttered to himself, "What a terrifying man."

Black Zetsu emerged from the forest, with his upper body exposed and his lower body merging with the trees.

He was pondering about the black ball that was just used by the other party, his eyes full of doubt. "What kind of ninjutsu was that earlier? Nagato lost so quickly even though he had the Rinnegan?"

Obito shook his head, standing up from the branch, and frowned. "I'm not sure either."

"I originally planned to seize the opportunity to take his Rinnegan to see if I could find a chance to revive Madara." His words revealed his fear of Satoru.

Black Zetsu sighed, "With that man in Amegakure, our plans may be indefinitely delayed."

Seeing everything in front of him, he knew that Satoru's power was a major obstacle to their plans.

At that moment, Black Zetsu remembered something and turned to Obito, saying, "By the way, Obito, your teacher will become the Fourth Hokage."

When Obito heard his words, he paused.

He turned to look at Black Zetsu, complex emotions appearing in his masked eyes. "Minato... Sensei?"

Black Zetsu continued, "Recently, the Hokage succession ceremony will begin."

His words made Obito sink into his thoughts.

Obito turned around, his back facing Black Zetsu.

At this moment, his voice suddenly became deeper. "Zetsu, let me say this for the last time, there is no Obito here."

"There's only Uchiha..."

He paused, as if gathering strength, "Madara."

As the last word fell, Obito's figure slowly disappeared into the forest.

"My head hurts so much..."

Konan slowly woke up from her coma, opening her eyes with difficulty, and she saw a clean white color.

The walls, sheets, and even the atmosphere in the ward were filled with a cold white color.

She turned slightly and saw Satoru sitting calmly beside the bed, his blue eyes gazing at her.

"Ugh..."

Konan's voice was hoarse and weak.

"Are you awake?"

Satoru immediately noticed. He stood up, took a glass of water from the cabinet beside the bed, and handed it to her. "Drink some water."

Konan took the glass of water and drank it slowly.

At this moment, Satoru suddenly asked, "Why were you standing in front of me?"

The ward suddenly became silent, with only the gentle breeze outside the window blowing the curtains softly.

Konan was slightly surprised. She didn't answer immediately but sank into a brief memory.

At that moment, she saw danger quickly approaching Satoru, and the aura of danger made her unconsciously step forward.

Her heart was full of determination. Even if she had to sacrifice her own life, even if she faced Nagato, she couldn't let Satoru get hurt.

"I... I don't know." Konan shook her head gently, with a hint of confusion in her voice, "Maybe... Maybe because I didn't want you to get hurt."

Satoru looked at her, complex emotions appearing in his eyes.

"How foolish."

Konan smiled faintly, although her head still felt extremely painful, her heart felt warm because of his concern.

"Oh, right, Yahiko and the others came here to visit you when you were in a coma." Satoru said softly.

"Yahiko is now the Amekage and is busy with Amegakure's affairs. He hurriedly told me a few words before he had to leave." He added, with a glint of appreciation for Yahiko in his eyes.

Hearing this, Konan nodded slightly to express her understanding.

She knew that Yahiko had a heavy responsibility, and he rarely had time to visit her.

At this moment, Konan raised her head and looked at him, wanting to say something.

Seeing this, Satoru smiled faintly, as if he had read her mind. "You want to ask about Nagato?"

Konan lowered her head and asked, "How is he?"

"After you fell into a coma, I fought him." Satoru's voice was calm, "His conviction was defeated by me, and he's staying at home now."

He paused and continued, "Your injury was caused by him, so he doesn't have the courage to come and see you. When he reflects in the next few days, everything will be fine."

Hearing this, Konan looked out the window silently, with a complicated light shining in her eyes.

She didn't know if Nagato still felt guilty and sad about what happened to her, but she believed Satoru's words.

"Don't think too much."

Satoru walked to the door and waved his hand gently. "There are medical ninjas waiting outside the door. If you need help, contact them anytime."

After that, he turned around and left, leaving Konan alone in the ward to ponder.

As Satoru walked out of the ward, he found Hanzo had been waiting in front of the door for a long time.

When Hanzo saw him coming out, he immediately approached him, his tone full of concern. "Satoru, is Konan alright?"

Satoru waved his hand gently, indicating that he didn't need to worry too much.

Hanzo's tense nerves relaxed slightly, and he handed a scroll to him.

"This is what the First Amakage asked me to convey to you." His voice showed a little respect.

Satoru took the scroll and was slightly surprised.

He opened the scroll and began to read its contents carefully.

In the past few days when Konan was in a coma, Satoru almost stayed with her in the ward all the time except for resting at night, so he didn't know much about what was happening in the outside world.

As he read gradually, a surprised expression appeared on his face. "Hokage succession ceremony? Namikaze Minato becomes the Fourth Hokage?"

Thinking of the young man with yellow hair as warm as the sun, Satoru could hardly imagine Minato in his mind.

The smiling youth had now become the leader of Konoha.

"It's true, I heard that Konoha specifically sent invitations to Amegakure for this Hokage succession ceremony." Hanzo continued, with pride in his tone.

"It seems they want to use the appointment of the new Hokage to discuss alliance issues with us." Satoru raised his eyebrows slightly, with a little interest in his eyes.
