52 Blue Butterflies

Satoru's words made Jiraiya sink into his memories.

He thought of his first meeting with Satoru, the childish boy with determined eyes, and the promise he made to himself.

"Why do you want to become a ninja?"

"Because... I want to become the strongest."

Jiraiya was briefly puzzled, then regained his senses, looked at him, and asked, "So, have you reached your goal?"

"Goal? The strongest?" Satoru thought for a moment, then his eyes drifted to the moon, and he chuckled, "Not yet."

"So, I want to think about this."

Jiraiya patted his shoulder and said firmly, "Satoru, whatever the outcome, I will fully support you. But you must remember that whatever difficulties you face, you cannot let go of your beliefs."

Satoru nodded, with a smile on his face, "Of course, Sensei."

Jiraiya continued, "Tomorrow, I might leave Konoha and go to Mount Myoboku. I may not be able to send you back to Amegakure directly."

Satoru smiled and said nonchalantly, "It's okay, Sensei. We've met. It's a big advantage for Yahiko and the others. They haven't even met you yet."

After saying that, he seemed to remember something. He tapped his head, took out a delicate bouquet of white paper flowers from his hand, and handed it to him, "I almost forgot! This is what Konan asked me to give to you."

Jiraiya took the paper flowers and his mind drifted into memories. He seemed to see that little girl. Then he asked gently, "Is Konan okay?"

Satoru nodded, "She's fine, we're all fine."

"Sensei, glad to meet you again."

Jiraiya smiled and shook his head, "Son, you still tell me not to act superior. But, I'm very happy to have a student like you."

***

After bidding farewell to Satoru, Jiraiya used Reverse Summoning to instantly transport himself to Mount Myoboku.

This is a pure land isolated from the outside world. Unlike the hustle and bustle of the outside world, Mount Myoboku is like a fairyland, where everything is different from the ordinary, and the inhabitants here are all frogs of different shapes.

"Hey, it's Jiraiya." A melodious voice broke the silence of the night.

Jiraiya appeared in Mount Myoboku, and following the voice, he saw an old frog with white beard and eyebrows smiling at him.

This is the elder of Mount Myoboku, Fukasaku.

Fukasaku clapped his hands enthusiastically, then exclaimed loudly, "Shima, Jiraiya is here, go prepare some special dishes, and treat him well."

Jiraiya recalled some bad memories and waved his hand, with fear on his face.

"Fukasaku-sama, I'm not here for anything, but I want to see the Great Toad Sage."

When Fukasaku heard this, he looked curious.

"Please allow me to listen to the Great Toad Sage's prophecy again." Jiraiya said earnestly.

Fukasaku frowned slightly, "Jiraiya, you and I both know that the Great Toad Sage is susceptible to lethargy, and his awakening moments are very rare. At the moment, I'm afraid..."

Before he finished speaking, Fukasaku felt something in his heart, a mysterious force whispering in his ears, causing his words to stop.

"Really... I understand."

Jiraiya caught Fukasaku's change, and a glimmer of light appeared in his eyes.

"Jiraiya, the Great Toad Sage wants to meet you." Fukasaku said incredulously.

As soon as Jiraiya arrived at Mount Myoboku and wanted to see the Great Toad Sage, the Great Toad Sage sent a message.

Is this a coincidence?

Fukasaku also realized that something was wrong at the moment.

Jiraiya's mood immediately became excited. He knew that this prophecy was very important to him and might show the direction of his future path.

Immediately, he followed Fukasaku through the bamboo forest and lake of Mount Myoboku and arrived at the residence of the Great Toad Sage.

In front of the main hall, the door of the main hall opened gently, revealing dim light.

Jiraiya and Fukasaku walked into the main hall together, and saw the Great Toad Sage lying on the throne, with his eyes closed tightly.

His whole body was orange, wearing a funny hat on his head, and a string of Buddha beads hanging around his neck. In the middle was a lavender cat's eye stone, with the word "oil" carved on the stone.

"Who's here?"

The Great Toad Sage slowly opened his eyes, revealing two yellow pupils.

Fukasaku looked at the Great Toad Sage, sometimes confused and sometimes wise, and silently complained in his heart: "Every moment is always like this. Are you really stupid or just pretending to be stupid?"

Jiraiya knelt in front of the Great Toad Sage's throne, clasping his hands together.

"Great Toad Sage, I am Jiraiya. Please give me the wisdom of prophecy and show me the direction of my future path."

The Great Toad Sage looked at Jiraiya's figure, and a smile appeared on his face: "Oh... So it's Jiraiya. You've come at the right time."

"Ah... The prophecy..." He murmured to himself, sinking into his memories, "Yes, it seems I just had a dream..."

Jiraiya's heart was moved. He knew that this meant the Great Toad Sage would have a new prophecy.

Fukasaku also restrained his smile. He knew that every prediction made by the Great Toad Sage was very important.

"I dreamed of a young man with blue eyes..."

"Oh, it seems that's not right. That was a dream I had before."

Jiraiya's expression froze slightly.

Fukasaku rolled his eyes and couldn't help but complain: "I think you're getting more confused as you get older."

The Great Toad Sage coughed slightly and looked a little embarrassed: "This dream is even more unclear than before."

He rubbed his temple and tried to remember, "Let me think, oh, I dreamed..."

"At the end of the sky, there is an endless blue color, and blue butterflies dance gracefully, continuously flapping their wings."

After saying this, the Great Toad Sage paused for a moment and seemed a bit confused. He tried hard to remember: "The world..."

"The world..."

Then, he tapped his head and said with a bitter smile, "I'm so old, I can't even remember my dream."
