-Root-

Raizel- at the moment sat in a lotus position in a large cell with no lighting, the scent of piss lingering in the air all around him. He forgot to take into account that his chakra reserve spike could be so obvious, Danzo kept tabs on all the orphans who moved out so when his chakra reserves Increased three fold from what he used to have, it attracted unwanted attention.

What did this mean for him? This lead to Danzo not wanting to waste what could be a potential weapon or another talent, even more so with the threat of an outbreak of another war looming around in the air. Raizel was given two options, submit or die.

He didn't submit and neither Danzo want to force him, because with people like Raizel, that would have the opposite effect. So he imprisoned him, maybe in hopes Raizel would come around. But how long could Danzo keep up this facade? Did the hokage know about this, and even if he didn't, Would the teachers not notice a missing student? Especially with the strict attendance rules in the academy.

He lost track of time long ago in the cell but is sure he has not been there for more than twenty four hours. Occasionally a root member came and checked up on him for whatever reason. Aside from that he focused on calming himself so he wouldn't go crazy.

It's not like it was impossible to escape through the use of his abilities, but then whats next?

If he escapes, Danzo would just send more root to bring him back or in the worst case scenario, to kill him. He wasn't at the level of where he could handle a whole squad of jonin level opponents, even with his cheats... 'maybe joining root wouldn't be so bad after all'.

He would be able to advance in taijutsu, ninjitsu, and more. The only downside being he would have to act like an emotionless toy. And if things got rough, he could bail when he gets strong enough.

The sound of footsteps woke him up from his musings, he honed in closer and from the amount of footsteps he heard he guessed there were four people, and he was right. Danzo came in with three root shinobi behind him, two male and one woman. Danzo held Raizels gaze.

"Why don't you make this easier for both of us and join my root?" He said with the tone of a superior.

Raizel sighed. "Fine." Although he never planned to join this organization upon entry in this world, it's now inevitable and the benefits sort of outweighed the risks.

Danzo not at all suspicious of why the child's stubbornness disappeared waved his hand at the root behind him to open and unlock the cell. He wasn't bothered by Raizels nasty smell and instead gave the slightest smile. 'This child has the eyes of a killer. He's a natural and a talent, if I play my cards right he could become one of my biggest pieces on my quest to become hokage.'

"Open your mouth." Raizel did what he was told and Danzo took his right index finger and lightly tapped Raizels tongue. Raizel felt a momentary sting on his tongue and saw weird lines start to appear on it. 'Great, I forgot about this.'

Danzo used this mark on each and every one of his root to ensure none of his agents could betray him or reveal any information about the group. Raizel didn't care for it too much-he would be able to cut the line of the seal to his tongue and eradicate it, it's just a matter of when.

"Good... bird remove your mask, you will be assigned to him and are expected to teach him everything he will need to know to survive and excel."

"Yes Danzo-sama." With the mask removed, it revealed a face Raizel not at all expected. Although she looked young, around fifteen or so, he could recognize the woman who would later go on to become the mother of one of the greatest villains in history and give birth to the reincarnation of Indra Otsutsuki.

'Mikoto Uchiha?!?!'

Akiko half listened to her teacher talk about the greatness of the past hokages and how their deaths would further ignite the will of fire in all of their hearts. The other half of her mind preoccupied with the boy she planned a d- hang out session with.

It's been two weeks and after the first day she never saw a glimpse of him. Like he disappeared off the face of the earth. At times when she was home she fantasized about him and got weird knowing looks from her aunt and uncle.

Akiko was the only child of a couple that had passed away in a mission to gather intelligence on Iwagakure who seemed to want to increase their territory for no apparent reason. She remembers that day, the hurt, the sorrow, the pain that she felt deep within her soul. Her never-ending flow of tears mixed in with the rain as she knelt for hours crying out to the skies.

But none of that could compare with what she felt when she looked into Raizels eyes.

His gaze scared her, made her body tremble, but oddly it made her feel sad.

His eyes held much greater pain then she could ever hope to imagine. She could tell he had been through a lot, more so than anyone should ever have to see. And this drew her in, what's the history behind the story of Cadis Etrama Di Raizel? How could she help him, comfort him, just what... could she do?

Others may say she became attached to someone who was nothing less than a stranger to her. But birds of the same feather flock together, and Raizel... was just like her.

She sighed and focused her gaze back to the front trying to take her mind off of the enigma.

Raizel buried himself in textbooks Mikoto had brought that detailed everything he would need to know to pass the academy for these past couple of weeks. He would later train and spar with Mikoto around... noon? Truth is, he didn't know. He was kept from going outside and the only lights that were in this place were artificial lights, no clock either so he couldn't keep track of the time or days.

Raizel had been a tad bit annoyed with how long it took him to get the basic chakra control exercises down. It took him nearly a week because of his large chakra reserves.

"Fireball jutsu!"

Raizel swiftly shunshined away from the torrent of flames only for Mikoto to appear directly in front of him. She swung one of her kunai at his skull intending to slice it in half.

Raizel remained calm like he had been through battles like this before and ducked under it then sweeped at her feet.

You wouldn't expect Mikoto to be such a physical fighter for her build, but taijutsu was where she excelled. Although raizel could defeat her fairly easy through the use of his abilities, he didn't want to reveal his trump cards so soon.

As they both backed away from each other, Mikoto threw several kunai from out of nowhere each of them with some sort of paper attached.

Raizel cursed under his breath and threw a couple of kunai of his own that deflected hers as they met in the middle. Mikoto's kunai hit the black walls of the huge room, what amazed Raizel every time is that the walls didn't crack, just what material were they made of?

Promptly he felt his surroundings began to shift and realized he had been caught in a genjutsu, the uchihas eyes were a different level of fuckery. With his mystic eyes of death perception he would be able to see the lines of the illusion and then it would just be a matter of cutting them, but without them he found it hard to separate a genjutsu from reality. All he could rely on being the sixth sense he developed over countless battles in his old life.

"Kai!"

"Good..." Mikoto appeared behind him and jabbed fiercely at his spine. She expected to send raizel flying so when he popped she couldn't help but widen her eyes.

'A shadow clone? When?'

"Behind you." Raizel held a kunai to Mikotos throat as she gave a slight smile before popping similarly to how raizel did before.

"What?" Raizel said, he noticed Mikoto come from underground just a few feet away from him. "Damn, I thought I had you that time."

"You've improved even though it's only been two weeks, soon we'll have to amp up your training." She said.

"Sounds like fun."

Mikoto motioned for raizel to approach her, as soon as he entered her reach she spit out a needle with a purple glow on its tip.

Raizel saw it coming and effortlessly tilted his head to the left making it miss its target. Mikoto ruffled his hair, he stared at her challengingly, Mikoto gave a condescending smirk.

Raizel was wrong when he thought all root agents were like robots who were programmed to do whatever their creator said, it was true to an extent but the only times they nulled their emotions completely was at times they were on missions or in the presence of Danzo.

Or at least that's what he concluded from observing Mikoto for the past two weeks, the older members seemed to have actually lost their emotions.

"Not bad at all. Training for the day is over, and from now on you will come back to the base for training after your time at the academy."

School? Leaving the base? What was she going on about? Why make him stay for so long if they were just going to send him back? It's not like he wanted to stay here forever, but there was no point in going back to school, what are they getting at?

"Mikoto-San?"

"Yes?"

"I'm going back to the academy?" Raizel asked with his head tilted.

"Yes." Mikoto said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Why?" He tilted his head to the other side and slightly furrowed his brows.

"Orders from above." She took out a black blindfold and began tying it around Raizels head. Raizel didn't know where he was walked but neither did he care, he was still thinking about why now that they decided to send him back, it made no sense!

"You are dismissed." Raizel heard a deep snake like voice before he was grabbed by his shoulder and then felt a slight wind hit his face.

"You can take it off." It was the same deep voice and when he took the blindfold off, the mysterious man was no where to be seen, but raizel could have swore he heard that voice before, he just couldn't remember where.

It was a starless night and raizel made haste to get to his home and take a shower because he reeked of sweat.

---

This morning Akiko was in for a surprise and practically jumped out of her shoes when upon entry in the classroom she saw the student who had been missing for the past two weeks wave at her. She shyly waved back and took her seat next to him.

"N-nice to see you again Raizel-kun." She said.

"You too."

Her eyes couldn't seem to settle on a location. "Um, where were you for the past two weeks?"

"I was... preoccupied." Raizel hadn't really thought up an excuse for a scenario if someone asked him this question but was glad Akiko didn't pursue it even if she did have a questioning expression on her face.

The teacher slammed his textbook to gather the attention of all the students who were having conversations. "Listen up! Today we will be visiting our villages military police force and some other important places, so be on your best behaviors. Is that understood?!"

"Hai!!" The students cheerfully replied.
