-Raizel-

"So... mystic eyes of death perception, Limitless chakra, and time skip?" A deep voice that soothed the soul said as it rang out in the darkness. "Are you sure this is really all you want?"

"Yeah, why? You don't think this is enough?" It was the voice of a middle aged man in the form of an azure sphere. He floats in the darkness alone with no one or thing to accompany him. Just himself and the peaceful quietness that calmed his nerves and allowed him, for the first time in a while, to relax.

"No... never mind, then I will send you on your way. For your second wish I'll have to make some changes to your body so it can handle the always incoming chakra, and your reserves will start growing exponentially around your teen years. And your last one is a bit much for that world so I will have to make some adjustments. Alright, that should be all, are you re-"

"Wait!" The soul exclaimed. "Can you make my appearance that of Cadis Etrama Di Raizel."

There was a brief silence."Sure, okay then, for the last time is that all?"

"Yeah."

"Great, then I'll send you on your way, have fun!" The middle aged mans soul faded from the void as a new one appeared to take his place.

---

Upon leaving the darkness he got assaulted by bright rays of light. He tried to cover his face and realized his hands weren't the size he remembered them to be. The area was blurry, he could make out the outlines of what seemed to be a living room. He staggered to his feet, still unaccustomed to his new body. A few minutes later in deep thought his vision became clearer and his sense of balance returned.

He had a short stature and black hair that accentuated his blood red eyes that could stare a hole through a wall. He wore black shorts and a black t-shirt with some sort of white wraps covering his whole right hand.

"Where am I?" He questioned. That's when a sharp pain thumped in his head followed by a rush of unfamiliar memories. He clutched his head and shut his eyelids tight. It didn't last long but it was not a pain he would welcome again.

With the flood of memories he found out that the boy, Raizel, would be attend the shinobi academy tomorrow-Monday. He just moved in from the orphanage and was given his own apartment, the village would pay his rent and other living expenses until the day he graduated and became a chunin or chose another job to sustain himself.

Right now he was seven years old and from the memories he remembered there were only three faces on the hokages mountain, it's safe to say he was born either before, during, or after the second and third shinobi wars. He hoped it was latter, to get thrown into war so soon after his arrival would not be very exciting.

He wiped the sweat that started to accumulate on his forehead and parched himself to the ground to sort out the jumbled images that continued to flow in his head. While he breathed in and out, he felt something he'd never felt before inside him. It comforted him and warmed his body. He smiled.

'So this must be chakra, and from the looks I have quite a lot, as I should.' Maybe due to his old world not having anything even remotely close to chakra was the reason his body shook with excitement. He calmed his heart rate and focused more on the spread of the energy throughout his whole body.

The chakra flowed through his organs and tenketsu to eventually reach his eyes. When he opened them, a slight headache assaulted him for a split second and then several black cracks in his apartment building began to make themselves known and a couple of similarly black points. His normal dark red eyes had now shifted, his pupils slightly larger and the outer parts an ocean of blood that swayed calmly under the gentle breeze of a summer night.

He stared at his reflection off of a fake forehead protector he had bought long ago and raised an eyebrow in curiosity. 'These... they aren't the normal mystic eyes of death perception. Hmmm, maybe something like my own version? I wonder what they can do.'

Although he wanted to try to slash at the lines and points, he didn't want to potentially destroy his house and get kicked out in case things went wrong. Raizel's seen some of the feats these eyes were cable of and they weren't very pretty.

He then remembered that he asked for one more ability, now he just had to figure out how to use it or activate it. Raizel further honed in on the head protector as if he could snatch it even with the distance between them and gaped at his surroundings that began to crack in bright colors composed of purple, pink, and blue.

He didn't know if time had stopped or if he just perceived it differently but was enthralled by the experience. It left as fast as it came. He wondered, the ability had barely used any chakra even with his mystic eyes still active, so did that mean he could use it Indefinitely?

Raizel turned off his mystic eyes and they reverted back to normal. Throughout the whole rest of the day he meditated and with the moon high up in the sky signaling night time had already came, he made himself some dinner using what was in the fridge. After a long shower he changed into sleeping clothes and tucked himself in bed with a head full of thoughts from his last life and his future.

Going back to school for Raizel was a new experience, even more so in the world of shinobi. It was also an experience that bored him. His teacher-Shirou Umino, was a man who really adored textbooks, while good for him, it wasn't so fun for the students. Raizels class consisted of kids whose clans had deemed them not of importance, determined civilians, and a beautiful black haired girl who sat next to him, she would gaze at him from the corner of her eyes with a tint of red on her cheeks. It was not just her either. Ever since he entered this huge academy with the interior of an old college building, all eyes roamed over him and girls blushed like crazy.

'Great,' he thought. If he knew have this appearance would be so troublesome he would have kept the same average look from his old life.

As the bell rang, raizel made haste and picked up his bag that was full of notebooks and textbooks amongst other things.

He sighed.

Just like he thought, he learned nothing of actual importance. Just outside the academy he was stopped by the same girl who stole glances from time to time in class.

"R-raizel-kun!"

Raizels emotionless eyes met hers. "Yes?"

"I'm Uchiha A-Akiko... I sat next to you in class." She said.

"...Right, so? What do you need?"

Akiko straightened up and took a deep breath to calm her racing heart. "C-can we hang out, some time?"

Raizel raised an eyebrow. 'How cute.' He wasn't a lolicon but he didn't mind making some friends in this lifetime, he just had to make sure it got through her that he wasn't interested in relationships.

He nodded his head. "Sure."

"Really?!" Her voice reverberated throughout the entire crowd and students turned their heads in wonder and curiosity of the big event. Akiko hid her face in her hands to hide her apparent tomato face. Moments later, students went back doing their own activities.

"Sorry..." Akiko said.

Raizel lightly chuckled. "It's alright."

Akiko twirled her hair with her right hand. "So...ummm... when are you free Raizel-kun?"

"Saturday and Sunday, and just Raizel is fine."

"Ah! Then you can call me A-Akiko."

Raizel smiled and turned with his back to her her. "See you tomorrow Akiko." He said with a wave of his hand.

"G-good bye R-raizel."

With their separation, raizel began treading in the crowd of students as he made his way outside of the academy. But as he left, he did notice familiar faces that gave him a more accurate picture of what era he was in.

'Akimichi choza, Yamanaka Inoichi, and Nara Shikaku. They should be a few years older than me from their appearance so about three or four years older. That means were very close to the outbreak of the second shinobi war, well just my luck.'

He continued down the smooth and brown streets of Konoha admiring the infrastructure that was completely different from his old world, in a good way. Buildings in Konoha seemed to be a mixture of modern and old.

Old in the sense of the designs and modern in the materials used. They consisted mainly of white walls and either blue or red roofs. Some roofs were circular, others pointy or just flat. All in all, it was a very refreshing sight for Raizel, maybe because he had never seen much like it outside of the show.

He entered a street unknowingly, It was a street full of shinobi and some civilians. He caught a shop from the corner of his eyes that didn't look pleasant appearance wise, but an aura from it drew him in.

He entered the shop and was greeted by the sight of a few shinobi that sat at different long tables, each of them with several sticks of... dango?

An old man with a bulky figure and a scar across his left eye met Raizel at the entrance. "You want some dango kid?"

Raizel took another glance at the mouth watering dango and nodded his head.

The old man smiled and motioned for Raizel to sit. He left and brought back a plate that had three rows of different colored dango in green, pink, and beige. "Don't worry about paying, it's on the house."

Raizel thanked the old man who waved it off and went to talk to other customers.

His first bite of the dango was nothing short of heavenly. It was easy to bite through and swallow soft in his mouth. It tasted like a sweet rice... but there was something else. 'Is it the sauce?' He thought to himself. Either way, he didn't care and made sure to come back at another time after he ravaged the rest of it.

---

On his way down an unpopulated alley towards home. His head started to spin and his eyelids become heavier and heavier by the second. 'What's going on? Poison? Was it the old ma-'

His thinking was interrupted by two figures with masks that he couldn't make out due to the poison that spread at a rapid pace. He gritted his teeth and succumbed to the darkness with one last thought that lingered. 'Root.'

Raizels eyes fluttered open only to see a man he recognized very well in a dimly lit room. The man had a wrap covering his right eye, forehead, and right arm; along with an x scar on his chin.

The man gave Raizel a knowing gaze. "Cadis Etrama Di Raizel, or Raizel for short. Welcome... to the root."

'Danzo... fuck.'
