2 Haku

I woke up feeling my muscles slightly sore. Looking Infront of me, I saw a sight to behold.

The Ice spikes were painted red. I walked forward, the snow and ice crunching beneath my feet.

Coming across a big chunk of ice, I saw a boy. He looked to be about six years old and had a quite pretty and cute face.

The boy sighed. Well, it would be better to say — I sighed.

In my sleep, after I had exhausted my chakra— yes chakra, I assimilated the memory of a kid named Yuki Haku. Which is a familiar name to any Naruto viewer.

My lips curved upwards in remembrance of the interesting day of watching anime, especially Naruto. Learning the lore of the villages was quite fun but alas, nothing lasts forever.

I walked forward, keeping on my monologue. Reaching almost the end of the ice, I saw a sword stuck in there.

Me trying to pull the sword might have been a comical sight, if there was anyone alive to see it that is.

My happiness didn't last long because as soon as the sword was pulled from the tough ice I fell on my butt.

I looked at the sword. It was as big as me.

"This is no use." A childish and alien voice escaped my mouth.

I have to get used to this now. But I won't need to worry, adaptability is one of the pros of being a human.

I instead picked two kunai which were hurled towards me by the mob of now-dead people.

The kunai's surface was full of dirt. Looks like it was used for farming just recently, most probably potato.

I kept walking till I reached the corps of the woman— this body's mother.

Looks like the hit from the man didn't outright kill her and she bled to death. That was brutal but what was below the women's right hand was more interesting.

There was a paper. The ink was her blood.

The paper had something very important in the whole series— A jutsu. Although her finger rested in the incomplete hand seals.

'D-rank'

'Icicle jutsu'

'Dog Bird Rat Dog B-'

My disappointment was palpable but I still flipped the paper just in case.

Flipping the paper, I found a very rough map. And when I say rough I mean it.

It only had a few landmarks.

A location that signified this village.

Another area quite far from the village with the headband sign of Hidden Mist or is it Blood Mist right now?

Anyways, the third mark is more interesting north eastwards from both the village and the hidden mist village, both of which were on separate islands, there was a small island with the insignia of ice release.

Thank myself that I learned Japanese for some business stuff.

Anyways, among many Islands, most of them represented as a dot of small or big blood was that island, which I assume is the clan compound of the long-lost Yuki clan.

There was also a mark of what looked like a poorly drawn pedestal and a drop of blood above the given pedestal.

"This looks like to be somewhere I need to go. I am pretty sure the Yuki clan's compound wasn't shown in the show."

The most interesting piece of the map was the words written on the bottom of the page.

'Revenge'

If I am not wrong this woman had slapped her own child for showing her his water element. And now, the very same woman was asking for revenge. It's quite ironic if I do say so myself.

Unfortunately, I am not the kind of person to seek revenge! I— who now is Yuki haku— am a pacifist!

I will not attack hidden mist just because a scared woman said so.

Well, I guess her revenge is kind of complete now that the villagers are dead. Looking at the village, it does look like a ghost village.

Ah, I should also escape fast after I rummage through these houses for some food.

I don't feel cold even in This cold, probably because of my Kekkei genkai.

I looked at the woman's corpse for the last time. I wonder what her last thoughts were to have changed from a scared pacifist to a revenge seeker.

Oh, man! That would have been so Interesting to know!

***

I am looking at the tear-filled eyes of the man— the father of my son— as he pulls his suckle up to kill me.

This man never loved Me and Haku.

Piece of shit. I should have never fallen for him. I should have never run away from my own blood.

I know that man still loves me but the eyes he looked at my son with…angers me.

He thinks of my son—his son— as nothing more than a demon. That is also the reason why he has aimed his sickle not at my left side— where my heart is— but at my right side. Or maybe it's because he wants me to die slowly, bleeding. Or maybe he doesn't want to see me die.

No matter what, I will never… never let someone look at my son with those eyes! This man, no this while, village should di—

The sickle cut through my shoulder blades and I felt a sharp tinge of pain.

The snow was painted red with my blood. The mob started chasing after my son. They want to kill him

No.

No.

He will survive. I am sure he will.

I took out a piece of paper—intended to keep track of farming profits— from my inner pocket.

My son will kill them. He will take revenge.

I-I should draw a map of our clan for him. I will surely help him. I am sure he will become someone I failed or didn't care enough to be.

Finishing the map, My hatred slipped through my state of semi-consciousness as I ended up writing the word 'Revenge' at the bottom of the map.

*Crack**Crackk*

I saw it! the ice spikes painted in blood. I knew it!

My son did it! He is a prodigy!

Did he use a jutsu? Wait a jutsu!

I only know one justsu that my father tried to teach the then disinterested me. I should have learned—

No. There is no use thinking about that new.

I will just make sure to write the hand seals dow—

Darkness overtook me.

***

Rummaging through my previous house, I found two kunai!

I now have four kunai in total and even a pouch to put in my waist!

I now had dried meat and some weapons. I think I should get going—

As I opened the door and let the light enter. I saw a man wearing a headband with four squiggly lines arranged in a neat order.
