Chapter-7: Slaughter of Tani (2)

"Men are more ready to repay an injury than a benefit, because gratitude is a burden and revenge a pleasure. Hyugas won't hesitate to kill." Black Zetsu spoke as he slowly was taking advantage of Sakamoto's stressed state, breaking into his mind, slowly but surely.

"Do it. Not for anyone else but for your 4-year old son. Become immortalized in his eyes. A hero forever. " He said as he faded away in the shadow as if he never existed in the first place.

Black Zetsu has prepared enough.

He had already planted all the traps, manipulated several clans to pit the fights and prevent a considerable amount of intel from reaching other clans.

No one will know what really happened. His plan will be successful.

He promptly left to search for a good spot to watch the whole battle unfold.

Long since everything started, one of his favorite hobbies was to watch his little plan bloom into a flower, slowly as he poured blood of countless ninjas for it's growth.

Suddenly, he noticed....an anomaly.

2 Hyuga ninjas were rapidly rushing towards the heart of Kumanoi clan.

'Hmm? I suppose this may be greed of some of the main family Hyugas. It doesn't matter. It's won't change any-...like this...WHAT?!' he thought as their plan baffled him.

They perfectly blended together with the Kumanoi clan members and were able to secretly kidnap a few civilians in span of a few minutes, not even allowing any suspicion to start. They quickly escaped.

Black Zetsu expected they would at least cause some problems or havoc but they didn't.

This piqued his curiosity.

Who was behind this?

Was there someone who would go this far? Sending a ninja squad otherwise would be enough to slaughter away Kumanoi clan and salvage all the resources and also acquire the best method to produce blue fire powder but it wouldn't matter.

Kumanoi clan's fate was already sealed.

Main clans Black Zetsu wanted to shave off were the Hyugas, Uchihas and Senjus.

Black Zetsu quietly followed the Hyuga ninjas as they travelled back with stealth. After the squad was disbanded, he stalked the genins and chunins for more information but it seemed that all of them had more or less very skewed knowledge of what happened.

In their eyes, it was just a general mission with a good reward.

He didn't hesitate further and directly followed the two mysterious ninjas, who kidnapped the civilian men, pushed them inside the prison cell as they went out to a secret route towards Main family Hyuga quarters.

After walking for a while, they kneeled outside the door of...Junichiro Hyuga, the next clan leader of Hyuga.

Black zetsu quietly infiltrated the area and all three of them waited for quite a while before they Junichiro actually came into the room, patiently waiting.

"Good work, Ichi and Ni. Ni, go out and torture the information of making blue fire powder. After discerning the recipe to be true, kill them. Ichi, go out and inform father that I ordered you for a secret recon mission and share just enough details regarding the clan's circumstances. Keep presence of captured civilians out of his ear. After that, you may take a good rest." He said with he eyed the formula and took it away.

After both the ninjas left the room to do what they were told, Junichiro started writing a couple of things along with the formula in one of the scrolls and kept it on the shelf and laughed as if he wrote a funny joke.

The curiosity in Black Zetsu couldn't be controlled anymore.

After Junichiro left, he started reading the content silently.

After reading the contents, he slowly disappeared the dark.

The plans of the boy were sinister. It was unrefined but the foundation and thinking behind the plan was more than enough to make it scary.

Everyday, Zetsu is bored but today, he was a little more amused.

(After a few days of planning and intel gathering)

Hyuga clan finally attacked the Kumanoi clan, sending in their best jonins with a well made plan, minimizing losses and maximizing chance of victory.

The raid itself lasted around 14 hours, clearing out the clan members slowly, not rushing any step and causing pointless causalities.

The duration was increased quite a bit because of the dastardly spirits of the damned members of Kumanoi clan.

Each one of them had an explosion stored inside them. They attacked with insane fervor and didn't hesitate at any moment. Some of them did but it always felt like something scheme and they were mostly correct.

It was the most exhaustive raid of all time.

Just as they were about to invade the core, eliminating the Kumanoi clan...Something unforeseen happened.

A squad of Uchiha clan were spotted by recon team of Hyuga clan, which turned into a bloody battle about instantly.

The chaos had begun.

Just as the attacking squad suffered losses and started retreating, they discovered a Senju clan squad on their way back and were nearly wiped out, barely escaping with their lives.

A few members of recon team were alive and passed on the information which shocked the whole clan, including the Young leader.

They didn't think something like this would happen.

The notion that both clans were teaming up against Hyugas was more than enough for them to bring in the big guns into the game, starting the plans once again, regrouping and sending in the squads to counter attack the clans as they retreated from the battlefield.

But just as they were about to leave, they discovered fights between Senju and Uchiha, which made Hyugas stay as they concluded one thing after clan leader asked them to stay, credits to encouraging words from Junichiro Hyuga.

"They are obviously fighting each other. We were just caught in between. Please wait in the battlefield for the moment. We may be able to walk away with a lot more." He said.

The clan wars just started and Hyugas were now actively spending troops to keep up with the clans but always staying on the safer side by not fighting too much but rather exhausting the enemy and instigating fights.

As this went on, behind everyone's backs, Junichiro Hyuga started his plan.

The main reason he wanted Blue fire powder was different but now that this turned into a three clans fighting each other, he preponed the plans and immediately summoned Ichi and Ni.

"I want you to personally go into the battlefield and plant this into several locations marked on this map." He said as he handed them over the map and a bag.

When they opened the back, they saw it held a couple of small boxes made with a lot of cotton and some other fabrics.

"Go and plant now." He said as he drank a glass of milk along with the bitter growth medicine.

"After planting these packets, run." He said as he sat down to think and reorganize his thoughts for a bit.

"Did I not give an order?" He asked as he still sensed the presence of the ninjas.

They knew what exactly was going to happen if this was done and they were still stunned that this was conceived by their young leader.

"We shall move out." They said as they rushed out with the packets.

The packets contained a giant ball of blue fire powder wrapped around a lot of cotton.

The moment water touches the powder, it will slowly seep into the fabric and explode. A good estimate would be around a minute.

They immediately went in to execute the plan.

They were excellent ninjas but at the end they were just branch members of Hyuga clan. How could they oppose an order?
