27 Chapter 27

Following Shisui all the way to a residence within the Uchiha clan, Shisui nodded at Kaito at the door and opened it for him.

Clearly, Shisui was going to stand guard outside, leaving the rest of the matters for Kaito to handle on his own.

Kaito was quite surprised at Shisui's efficiency, having no idea what Shisui had discussed with the elder behind him.

He also didn't know what this meeting would turn into, but he wasn't going to shy away from meeting them.

With the Mangekyō Sharingan, even though he hadn't had it for long, Kaito had definitely surpassed his former self.

If he were to encounter any trouble, Kaito wouldn't mind using his own eyes to do something about it.

The room wasn't large and appeared quite quaint. There were sliding doors on both sides, and in the middle hung a 'Nin' character, with no other decorations.

The elder behind Shisui sat right beneath the 'Nin' character. If Kaito remembered correctly, this old man's name was Uchiha Sō.

"I just wonder if you have a brother named Uchiha Kai, or perhaps a superior named Uchiha Kai. I hope you have both."

Kaito silently 'wished' in his heart, then slowly stepped forward to stand in front of the elder. He didn't sit down but instead looked down at the old man from above.

Upon seeing Kaito's posture, Uchiha Sō couldn't help but frown. He suddenly felt that the young man before him was really impolite.

However, just as this thought appeared, he involuntarily suppressed it within his heart.

Indeed, Kaito's current behavior was truly impolite, but if what Shisui said was true, then he, Uchiha Kaito, indeed had the right to be impolite!

Mangekyō Sharingan, it's the Mangekyō Sharingan!

"Well then, thank you for your hospitality, elder." Kaito revealed a slight smile, then slowly sat down.

In truth, Kaito wasn't exactly a domineering person, but he knew that there were times when he had to show a strong posture.

Only in this way will others truly worry about you, fear you, and ultimately listen to you.

"I want to hear your plans." Uchiha Sō did not want to beat around the bush with Kaito. He got straight to the point.

"Shisui said that you plan to depose the clan leader, you want to reunite the family.

This is an extremely dangerous idea, but I have to admit it is indeed a good idea for the family.

So I want to hear, to understand what you plan to do, and what your ideas and plans are.

Shisui hopes that I can help you, but if I'm to help, I need to at least see some hope, right?"

Just hoping to see hope?

Kaito did have a bit of belief in what Uchiha Sō said, but it was only a tiny bit, because he knew that the old man definitely hadn't said everything.

After carefully recalling the conversations he had had with Shisui along the way, Kaito began to feel a headache because he realized he had said too much.

But after thinking it over, he guessed that what could have made this old man so 'compliant' was probably nothing more than the Mangekyou Sharingan?

With this thought, Kaito felt confident. He knew he was definitely on the dominant side, which would give him the upper hand.

"Want to hear my plans and intentions?" Kaito revealed a smile, then slowly closed his eyes.

In an instant, a stifling chakra filled with a destructive aura emerged from Kaito, a force that even Uchiha Sō felt instilled fear in his heart.

"Alright, I understand the elder's meaning, but I think there is more you want to confirm than just that.

I don't know exactly what Shisui told you, but I think the reason you wanted to meet me probably has to do with something.

Something you are worried about yet desire, something that could change the Uchiha clan, right?"

In the next moment, Kaito opened his eyes. His eyes had turned crimson, and within this redness, a triangular pattern was slowly rotating.

"That would be the Mangekyou Sharingan. You probably want to confirm, or rather, you are more eager to confirm, whether I also possess these eyes, aren't you?"
