"Shisui, do you even know what you're saying?"

Just as Kaito was idly wandering and reading along Konoha's main street, Shisui was in a room of the Uchiha clan, facing an elder in silence.

This elder's name was Uchiha Sō. The expression on his face right now was one of bewilderment, as if he simply couldn't believe what he was hearing.

Shisui was practically raised under his watchful eye, many of Shisui's thoughts and beliefs were taught by him. He had always treated Shisui as his own protege.

Their shared belief was a hope for harmony between the clan and the village, a coexistence of family and community!

This belief had always been constant and they had always striven towards this direction, constantly working for this ideal.

They longed to establish connections through communication with the higher-ups of Konoha, desiring to be genuinely accepted and acknowledged.

Unfortunately, the setbacks and blows they are facing now are immense.

In the village, following the outbreak of the Nine-Tails event, the Uchiha clan and the village have grown apart, a reality they cannot change.

And within the clan, the village's actions have also led to widespread dissatisfaction among the majority of the clan's members.

All they can do now is rely on Shisui as their connection, hoping to gain the trust of the Third Hokage and the ninjas of Konoha.

By doing so, they aim to bring the clan back into the embrace of Konoha, restoring the family's former glory. After all, their predecessors were the ones who had resisted Uchiha Madara.

Shisui is a descendant of Uchiha Kagami, one of the most distinguished among them. Shisui even managed to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan!

In the entire clan, the number of those who have awakened the Sharingan is not great, let alone the Mangekyō. Uchiha Sō reckons that perhaps only Shisui has the Mangekyō within the clan.

Moreover, Shisui has also managed to bring Uchiha Itachi, the clan head's son, into his camp. This gives them a much stronger bargaining position.

After returning from his last mission with the Anbu, Shisui did not report back, but instead took leave to carry out a mission with that Uchiha Kaito.

Uchiha Kaito is also a prodigy within the clan, reaching the level of three tomoe at a young age, and he is both a friend and classmate of Shisui's.

However, Kaito is a maverick, he has not joined any faction within the clan.

He didn't even join the guard department, ultimately choosing to become a mission ninja.

Despite his close relationship with Shisui, there was nothing Uchiha Sō could do. He too hoped that Shisui could bring a talent like Kaito on board, as it would give them more influence.

However, what he least expected was that after a trip out together, Shisui and Kaito would return with new ideas and plans.

And these plans were so outrageous, so radical, that even Uchiha Sō felt cold sweat seeping out all over his body!

"I know exactly what I'm saying."

Shisui was looking intently at Uchiha Sō. He nodded then repeated his statement once again.

"I'm saying, the chaos and division within the clan have reached such an extent that we can't keep united to do what we should be doing.

And the person who caused all this is the clan head. If it weren't for his indulgence and hesitation, the clan would have been united in facing challenges long ago.

Instead of the current situation where everyone is endlessly arguing about each other's beliefs!"

Shisui's words were spoken with such resolve that even Uchiha Sō, an elder of the clan, felt a shudder at that moment.

Being a seasoned player in clan politics, he naturally understood the extent of the chaos within the clan.

But understanding is one thing, being able to act and daring to act are another.

According to Shisui's words, he intends to dethrone their clan head, Uchiha Fugaku!

"Ridiculous!"

Uchiha Sō quickly interrupted Shisui's words, he looked around and then spoke in a lower voice.

"Have you gone mad, daring to lay a hand on the clan head?

Do you know what this implies? It implies a coup!

And who do you plan to install as clan head once you've ousted Fugaku? Who else is even qualified to be the clan head?

I admit, Uchiha Fugaku has done a poor job, he hasn't consolidated the clan and allowed this degree of division. But what would it be like if the clan were consolidated?

You should know that within the clan, it's those tough guys who make up the majority. If they..."

"No, the real majority are the most ordinary people of the Uchiha clan."

Shisui directly interrupted Uchiha Sō before he could finish speaking, staring at him and finally saying in a quiet yet firm voice,

"Kaito told me that within the power structure, the clan head and elders wield power, they are the superiors.

But the ones who confer the power are the majority of the Uchiha, the real power actually comes from their obedience!

If they acknowledge us, if they refuse to obey those tough guys, then those people would not qualify to claim themselves as the majority."

Uchiha Sō was left gaping at Shisui before him. He suddenly found Shisui somewhat unfamiliar, and his words had become so sharp and disrespectful.

However, it must be said that Shisui's words simply and clearly outlined the structure and operating mechanism of power.

This left Uchiha Sō feeling both impressed by Shisui's growth and a sense of danger, because Shisui's words were truly terrifying!

"Actually, we've always been wrong, outrageously so, both them and us."

Shisui looked at Uchiha Sō in front of him, sighed lightly, and continued speaking,

If we can't unite, we won't be able to express our political demands to them. If we can't unite, we don't have a clear action plan.

We are like scattered sand, only able to watch as things get worse and the clan steps closer to the abyss.

Uchiha Sō looked blankly at Shisui in front of him. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he had to acknowledge one thing.

But I believe he is the only choice, and my choice!

At this point, Shisui took a deep breath, his expression very serious as he looked at Uchiha Sō.

"He also has the Mangekyou Sharingan!"
