15 15. Unlikely Allies: Team 7 Assembles

After graduating, Naruto felt a weight off of his shoulders.

All the pretending and lies would stop now, all he had to watch out for was Kakashi, since the Anbu's would stop monitoring him now that he was a Genin.

Waking up, he talked with Kurama, 'now that I'm a genin we're both one step closer to our goals'.

"Yeah, I can't wait till I raze this land to the ground' Kurama said in a somewhat happy mood.

Smiling Naruto looked into the mirror, he had the Konoha headband in his hand, taking off his green goggles he squeezed them in his hand, breaking it into pieces.

Afterwards he put on his headband, it was blue in colour, seeing the Konoha logo Naruto smiled devilishly.

"Now I don't have to hide no more, now it's time to meet my teammates".

Walking out on the street, he didn't get as much disdain due to him wearing the Konoha headband, however there was still hatred thrown his way.

As he got closer to the meeting place it got less crowded, finally seeing a flight of stairs, Naruto saw two people already there.

'It's still Sasuke and Sakura, fate still puts us together'.

Seeing Naruto walking up to them Sakura sulked and Sasuke looked Naruto with disdain along with competition.

'Hmph, I didn't even get to speak to Sasuke, and now we have Naruto on our team?! Ughh'.

As Sakura continued to sulk, Naruto looked at Sasuke, Sasuke did the same, Naruto then smirked as he sat down at the lowest step.

'Hmm? Why'd he smile? Somethings fishy about Naruto, I don't know what it is, but when I'm around him, my hatred calms down, it's as if it's found a companion'.

As all three waited for their jonin leader, the atmosphere became awkward due to the lack of communication.

Naruto already knew the jonin leader so he analysed his teammates strengths, 'all though I hate Sakura, she is indeed pretty intelligent and has some determination'.

'Whereas Sasuke is a natural genius, along with his darkness that surrounds him, my darkness seems to have found a solitude in'.

After 10 minutes, a man with white spiky hair appeared, his left eye was hidden along with his mouth and nose area, only his right was shown.

'Finally his here', Naruto then looked up at Kakashi, they eyes collided, 'hmm? His eyes are a little weird or am I hallucinating?'.

As soon as they made contact, Kakashi felt something was off about Naruto, however he couldn't put his finger on it.

Shaking his head he observed his new squad, 'Sasuke Uchiha, the younger brother of Itachi Uchiha the rogue nin', 'Sakura Haruno, an intelligent kid with decent potential'.

'And Naruto Uzumaki… Son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki…teacher'.

Kakashi then spoke to them, "I don't like you".

Hearing the first word out of his mouth both Sasuke and Sakura were taken aback, Naruto continued to stare at him with flinching.

"Now introduce yourselves" Kakashi said whilst leaning against a steel fence.

"My name is Naruto Uzumaki, I like instant ramen and my future dream is… to be Hokage!".

Sasuke looked at Naruto then spoke, "my name is Sasuke Uchiha, I hate a lot of things, and I don't particularly like anything, I'm going to restore my clan and destroy a certain someone".

Sakura hearing this didn't flinch as she was too busy geeking over Sasuke, after Sakura also introduced herself Naruto asked.

"What's our mission?".

Focusing on Kakashi, Kakashi said "I'll be you're opponent, but it's not just a drill, if I find you not up to standards you will disband".

Hearing this they all became vigilant, "now that's all see you tomorrow", Kakashi then disappeared.

Naruto then stood up as he walked down the stairs, "hey Naruto, wait up we need to think of a strategy to take on Kakashi sensei!" Sakura shouted as Naruto got further.

Sasuke also got up as he proceeded to walk home, "there's no need for a strategy".

"I finally made genin so there's no way I'm going to get dropped now", he then walked away leaving Sakura stuck.

Sakura then stomped on the ground huffing and puffing before going back to her house.

Along the way Naruto had already planned for the test tomorrow, and Boeing it would be a bell test, he knew he could easily catch Kakashi off guard but there wasn't a need to show his capabilities.

"Tomorrow, I'll make them follow my strategy, so we'll be coordinated and not waste a whole day trying to get a bell".

Arriving back home he took a shower, after the shower he put on his weights along with doing his daily routine.

After a few years of training with guy, Naruto could now open the 5 gate and that didn't put as much stress on him like it did to Rock Lee, he had often sparred with him and he knew due to his physique, he was more suited to the 8 gates.

His current strength was that of a high level chunin without the uses of the nine tails chakra or the use of the 8 gates, after using up to the 5th gate, he is able to fight against some jonin's.

"Tomorrow, I will only show up to chunin level strength, so Kakashi isn't skeptical of me just from our eye contact today I knew he is already alert".

Naruto had to praise Kakashi's alertness and his ability to sense when a situation was wrong.

After finishing up Naruto arrived at the gate in his mind and wondered when to take off the seal, although he knew as soon as he did, he'd come face to face with Minato.

He wanted to confront him before he fully let out his evil nature as he knew once he did, it would be hard to go back.

He didn't know if Minato had prepared for an evil Naruto, but he didn't want to take chances, so it was better to confront him earlier than late.

So he had decided, "after the Chunin exams I'll rip off the seal".

Hearing Naruto, Kurama smiled "that's fine with me, the faster you are able to utilise my power, the more powerful you'll be in a shorter time".

Although Naruto didn't want to admit, Kurama was right, after the og Naruto got the chakra cloak, his power boosted significantly.

"I'm looking forward to using you're power freely" Naruto said along with Kurama nodding slightly.
