45 Academy! IV

Kazutora took a scroll from his pocket and spread it on the table. He bit his thumb and dropped a droplet of blood on the seal, and then took out his lunch box from the scroll.

"Show off," Hana whispered as she took out her lunch from her bag and she understood that Kazutora didn't have any bag. He kept everything on the scroll, and thinking of the convenience, Hana decided to ask her mother for a scroll too.

Kazutora rolled his eyes at her words, and he opened the lunch. He smelled a spicy fragrance from the lunch and a smile appeared on Kazutora's face.

"So, you like spicy dishes," Hana said while sniffing the fragrance, and Kazutora shook his hand.

"Hmm, I like all kinds of food," He said as he took a bite. Hina looked at the lunch box with an envious look in her eyes and she looked at Kyo, who nodded at her. They both left the classroom and went to the cafeteria to eat food there.

"Here," Itachi said while giving a lunch box to Kazutora, and Kazutora blinked at him.

"Mother asked me to give this to you," Itachi said as he thought of the event in the morning, and Kazutora smiled at his words.

"Be sure to thank her for me," Kazutora said while opening the lunch, and then he saw Izumi looking at him with an embarrassed look on her face.

"Did Aunt Hazuki give lunch box for me too?" He asked, and Izumi nodded with a red face.

"Mm, thank her for me," Kazutora said as he took the lunch box and looked at the three lunch boxes.

"Let's share," Hana suggested, eyeing the three lunchboxes with a gulp. She couldn't hide her jealousy. Receiving a lunch from your own mother is one thing, but it's quite another when someone else's mother packs a lunchbox for you.

Kazutora nodded at her, and then they were joined by the Ino-Shika-Chou trio. Shikakuro and Inojun were okay and looked like typical Nara and Yamanaka, but Kazutora felt strange when he looked at Chichi Akimichi. The reason is that, unlike other Akimichi, she was slim and she looked at Chichi from Dragon Ball.

Chichi looked at Kazutora and asked, "Feeling strange at a slim Akimichi?"

Kazutora nodded at her words, and Chichi laughed.

"Haha, others react in the same manner, and I just don't like getting fat," Chichi said, and Kazutora looked at Shikakuro and Inojun at her words.

"What about the tactics between you three?" Kazutora asked as he thought of the Ino-Shika-Choi trio and the combination attacks between them. Inojun sighed at his words, and said, "Someone else will join, or we will be different teams. It's not like everyone in the clan forms a group with the other two."

"Mm," Kazutora nodded at him and he ate his lunch. Shikakuro looked at Kazutora and asked, "So, what are your plans for the Academy?"

"I would like to ask the same question. Tsuna-Nee said that adults won't interfere in the Academy, but they should have said a few things to you all." Kazutora said straightforwardly without beating around the bush as he knew that there was no point in it.

"What a drag! It's just as you said." Shikakuro said Nara's iconic lines and others' mouths twitched at them openly talking about this matter.

"Itachi, did your father ask you to defeat me in the fight and other things?" Kazutora asked and Itachi looked at him a second and nodded at him.

"It must be the same for Hina and Kyo. What about you three, maintaining a neutral stance?"

"I would have thought about this before, but after talking with you, maintaining a neutral stance will be bad," Shikakuro said as he thought of everything from the morning, and Kazutora smiled at his words.

"Can we talk about something else?" Hana chimed in between and Izumi nodded with her. They felt uncomfortable with the talks, and the good mood from eating delicious food disappeared.

Kazutora shrugged at her words, and asked, "What did you expect? Do you think you can learn something in the academy? Except for Taijutsu, and fighting experience; building relationships is the main reason why Clan Ninjas are sent here. You all should have more or less learned everything that is going to be taught in first and second year."

"I prefer straightforward things instead of thinking too much and talking in a roundabout manner."

Hana nodded at his words and said, "Me too. If you have conflicts, just fight. The loser listens to the winner and that's the end. What's the point of thinking and scheming against each other."

Kazutora shook his head at her words and looked at Itachi, who ate his lunch silently. Like Inuzuka, Uchiha also has the habit of listening to the strongest, but Itachi is a different breed of Uchiha, just like Obito, and Shisui.

Even Shikakuro felt strange when he looked at Itachi and he found it difficult to understand Itachi.

"Uchiha clan is the same, isn't it?" Chichi muttered in between and Shikakuro groaned at her words.

"What do you mean?" Izumi asked and Itachi looked at her silently.

"Eh! Just like what she said," Chichi said pointing to Hana, who nodded at her words.

"I don't know," Izumi smiled weakly and she neither accepted nor denied the words. As for Itachi, he didn't say anything, and this was worse than saying anything.

"Strange guy," Chichi muttered under her breath, knowing well that if someone spoke of her clan, she would not hesitate to respond.

After recess, the students in the class were asked to go to the academy grounds, and they looked at the teacher in charge of Physical Training.

"Today, we will do simple exercises, so that I can know your limits and plan accordingly."

"First, do simple stretches and follow my movements."

Kazutora looked at the teacher's moves, and he followed them with others. They exercised for fifteen minutes, and then the teacher asked them to run around ten laps.

Standing beside Kazutora were Itachi, Kyo, and Hina. They were asked by their clan to compete with him, and guessing their thoughts, Kazutora smirked at them. He didn't plan on going all out, but he made sure that he would defeat these three.

After all, if he didn't remain a top student in the class, he was sure that Tsunade would take the chance to ask him to do extra spars and exercise with her so that she could bully him.

"Start," The teacher said, and Kazutora rushed ahead, leaving others behind. Everyone's eyes were on Kazutora, and he completed the 10 laps fastest. The second was Itachi, followed by Kyo, Hina, and Chichi, and others.

The teacher noted the lap time, and he looked at Kazutora who didn't look tired. After this exercise, the students were asked to throw shurikens, and Itachi and Kazutora topped together with Shikakuro, Hina, and others behind them.

Then, it was time for the fight between students, and the teacher looked at the matches he had received before.

"Kazutora Senju and Hina Hyuga."

"Itachi Uchiha, and Kyo Hyuga."

"Hana Inuzuka and Chichi Akimichi."

"Shikakuro Nara, and Komaru Sarutobi."

Calling the fair pairs, the Teacher asked them to fight and thinking of the pairs, Kazutora knew that they were done on purpose. He wondered if the Teacher in charge did on his own, or if he received the pairs from someone else.

'It's most likely later.'

"Kazutora-Kun, I will fight with my full strength," Hina said, and she made hand seals and opened Byakugan. Kazutora raised his brows when he looked at the Byakugan and he didn't expect that Hyuag could send an 'elite' child to the Academy.

'It isn't unexpected as they want to increase the prestige as the strongest clan in Konoha but I won't let it happen.'

Kazutora thought and saw her expression change when she used Byakugan. Byakugan can see through things, and Hana had thought of using Gentle Fist to attack his tenketsu and defeat him, but unlike what Hina expected, she couldn't see any meridians and tenketsus. Instead, she felt like she was staring at a humanoid doll with chakra around it.

"What are you? Are you using some kind of transformation technique?" She asked but Kazutora didn't reply. The two made hand seals, and the fight between them started with Hina rushing at Kazutora.

She knew that she had to use a gentle fist to interfere with his technique, but in Kazutora's eyes, Hina was a lot slower, as he had fought with Anko and Kurenai who were a lot faster than her and had complex movements. So he easily dodged all of her attacks.

"Stop dodging and fight back," Hina said with frustrations evident in her voice. She could be considered a genius in Hyuag Clan, as she was being trained to be Hinata's guard in future, and had received early training in the clan. But against Kazutora, who was faster than her, all of her attacks were futile.

"You can't even touch me, let alone talk about defeating me," Kazutora said with a casual look on his face, and he saw her frowning at his words.

"Stupid guy! Attack me," Hina shouted, and Kazutora shrugged at her. He disappeared from the place and Hina saw him appearing behind her. Even though she saw him, her body couldn't catch up with her eyes, she couldn't dodge the attack. Hina felt a poke in her neck and she knew that she had lost the match.

"You lost," She heard his whisper in her ear and feeling his hot breath, Hina shivered, and her face turned red.

"I lost," She murmured with a defeated look on her face and Kazutora just smiled at her words.

"You are better than I thought. However, if you can't even catch up to your opponent, how you will fight with him with Taijutsu and Gentle?"

"Your Hyuga clan must-have techniques for long-range attacks, but I know that they won't teach you, a member of a branch clan."

"So, if you feel the need for techniques, you can come to me. But you will have to pay a price and you better be prepared for it, Miss Caged Bird."

Kazutora whispered to Hina, and she trembled at his words. It was like a devil whispering and poking the place where it hurt her most, and Hina looked down with her eyes narrowed.

"Keep this a secret or the deal is off," She heard him again and saw that Kazutora had already gone back to his place.

'An Illusion?' Hina thought in her mind, and she understood that Kazutora was more terrifying than she had thought. Without her noticing, he had pulled her in Illusion and even others didn't notice it.

On the other hand, Kyo and Itachi also fought together but, in the end, Itachi won because of his weird shuriken attacks.

It was a tie between Hana and Chichi but had Hina brought her dog, she might have clinched the match. In the bout between Shikakuro and his opponent, Shikakuro conceded, resulting in the other guy's victory.
