Chapter 6: Blood Alliance

Kurama looked down on Naruto with pride, which looked very strange on his menacing face. He thought his guess was right. That this new soul that had replaced the original Naruto was actually one of Hagoromo's sons. Naruto held back a smirk, hiding his disdain behind a thin viel of surprise.

"Interesting. The first thought I would have if I was in your position is that an enemy of Hagoromo took over the body of one of his last remaining descendants to achieve some type of nefarious goal. I wouldn't immediately jump to conclusions as you did. I overestimated your intelligence Kurama." Truth be told, Kurama's guess wasn't unfounded. No other person besides a personal confidant of Hagoromo knew anything of the prophecy.

Humanity was blind to their fate. Only the sages of Mount Myoboku like the old toad sage and Jiraiya knew of what would eventually come to be. In Kurama's eyes, the only people who could know so much about Hagoromo could only be the nine bjuu, or his two sons.

"Don't toy with me Naruto. Brother or not. I will not stay chained like a common pet. If we are to be allies, I want my freedom restored. More than that, I want the people of Konohagakure to suffer as I have. These bastards have isolated me in this hellscape, transferring from person to person like some prisoner."

"You will have your wish. The people responsible for your pain will have their day of reckoning. But not until this body is sufficiently strong enough. Konohagakure still has Hiruzen as it's leader. At this time, even a common genin can kill us. We face no match against the full might of Konohagakure. How much bjuu chakra can this body endure at its current state?"

Kurama turned his head. "Not much. I doubt you can even form a single tail. Still, it's something, you are just a genin after all. For the time being I'll try and contact my brethren. We still share a link, as faint as it is."

"Good. Just make sure not to alarm the three tails, or any other tailed beast connected to the land of Water. That rogue Uchiha is still alive. From what I know, he is the reason why Kirigakure is closed off from the rest of the world. We don't want to alarm anyone watching our movements."

Kurama's cruel smirk reflected shining rows of hundreds of teeth. "Don't worry. My siblings may be weak and pathetic in comparison to me, but our connection is not something men can intercept. No jinchuriki will know, nor any unwanted Uchiha. Actually...what are your plans for that Sasuke brat?"

Naruto lightly raised an eyebrow. "He's still the last remaining blood of your father. And at that just a boy. He has committed no sin and harmed no soul. Don't tell me you want to end the legacy of Hagoromo Otsutsuki?"

Kurama stayed silent for a moment, before his anger reignited in his bright yellow eyes. "The Uchiha have grown evil. Even before the days of Madara Uchiha. I will no longer tolerate such an evil race's existence. My father was wrong to let his son's descendants live."

Naruto's interest peaked and he couldn't help asking. "How do you know I'm not Indra Uchiha? Saying something so offensive, are you not afraid that one day I'll take over your mind and kept you as my own?"

"No. You are not Indra. Your personality. How you speak. You are nothing like what Hagoromo described. At the same time, you also don't fit Ashura's description. But Hagoromo was already on his death bed while you were still but a young man. You feel like an older version of Ashura. Like a jaded old hero that has long squandered the naive idea of everlasting peace. In a way, you remind me of Hagoromo at his last breath."

Naruto was genuinely shocked for a few seconds by the sudden praise, until he regained his thoughts. "Hagoromo established the world order that would dictate how humanity would live for centuries. Even now, human society has evolved and mutated to fit into the layout he created. Despite chakra being weaponized and used in catastrophic ways, the social norms of the world remained grounded in the morals that he spread across the land. I am not Hagoromo, never forget that."

A soft breeze of air rose up around Naruto's body as he continued to speak, lifting up his clothes and making his hair flow like water. "The day will come in which this entire world will be brought to it's knees. I will not be it's hero when that day comes. This world already had a hero. When the Otsutsuki descend from the heavens above to harvest this planet I will use any means possible to protect. I don't care how many people have to die, how many lives will have to be sacrificed. I only have one goal in this life. I will see to it's completion."

Kurama's eyes widened to an impossible degree looking at Naruto's floating body. As he spoke, his chakra responded. The boy's bright blue eyes glimmered with chakra as the wind produced by his body cut away at his clothes, enveloping him in a white gown of gust.

"I will not blame you Ashura. No one will. You are the inheritor of our father's will. I will do my best to aid you in any way I can. I believe in our father's prophecy, and I believe in you." Kurama said, a strange golden glimmer shining off his coat as he looked starry eyed at Naruto's bright form. "You have my full support, Ashura Otsutsuki."
