Nobita had successfully foiled Orochi's plans. He didn't allow Orochi to put his cursed mark on Sasuke, which would help skip the Sasuke escape from Konoha bullshit. In Nobita's opinion, Sasuke leaving Konoha would only lead to a decrease in the village's strength, as well as result in the boy killing his older brother without knowing the actual truth.

Yes, Sasuke would get stronger with Orochimaru, but Kakashi is no slouch as a teacher (well maybe sometimes) and even Nobita would indirectly help the Uchiha gain strength greater than even before.

This was step one of his plan, and he had achieved it. Still a long way to go though.

The Anbu had arrived at the scene of the fight, only to see some trees destroyed, and marks of burns and residue chakra which was extremely intense.

Anko was also there inspecting the scene, and was able to confirm her suspicion that her former teacher was the one embroiled in the fight. She had to notify the Hokage ASAP that Orochimaru had somehow weaseled his way into the Chunin exams.

Nobita had ditched the disguise, but hurriedly made his way over to Naruto's team, who were again engaged in a fight, this time with Orochi's minions. At this moment, Sakura was tending to her teammates' injuries while engaging in a battle using traps. For fucks sake, she was absolutely useless!

Dosu, Orochi's underling, after spewing a bunch of nonsense, released his killing blow at Sakura. Just before that, however, Nobita again came for the rescue, this time without hiding his identity.

Nobita: "I've got this Sakura. Tend to Sasuke and Naruto."

Nobita had to rescue them, since the plot had changed and where Sakura was attacked was different from the anime. Thus, Rock Lee would not be able to save them, since he wasn't present at their location.

Sakura was relieved and coudn't help but feel moved. However, she quickly became serious before tending to her teammates, as she trusted Nobita to handle Dosu.

Nobita easily dispelled Dosu's attack and hit him with a strong punch from his Arhat fist technique. He was so much faster than Dosu, that the latter fell unconscious. Nobita held off much of his power, as he did not want to kill the boy.

Zaku and Tsuchi, the other two underlings were shocked at how easily Nobita had defeated their leader, and the fear was palpable.

Sakura was shocked as well, and started to admire Nobita's big strong back, which protected her and her teammates from death.

Zaku and Tsuchi, both scared and not knowing what to do, rush attacked him using their "best" jutsu, but were easily rendered unconscious after a series of movements by Nobita.

After bandaging her teammates, Sakura rushed to Nobita's side and saw Team Dosu sprawled out unconscious on the ground. Words could not describe how she felt at the moment.

She and her teammates were about to be killed, and Nobita had saved them out of the blue, and quickly dealt with the enemies. She started blushing, and looked deeply at Nobita who was calm and focused.

Sakura: "Uh...Nobita..."

Nobita: "One sec."

Nobita reached in towards Dosu and found his scroll, all he had to do was now reach the tower, which would conclude this section of the test for him.

Nobita: "I'm taking this scroll with me. When Sasuke and Naruto awaken, defeat a team and get a scroll fair and square."

Nobita then started walking away and Sakura screamed, "Wait! I...I..I wanted to s..say thank you. Thank you for saving us!"

Nobita faced Sakura with a smile and responded, "No biggies, we're friends and from the same village, of course we should help each other. I know when I'm in a pickle, y'all will help me too. Oh I almost forgot, here's some medicine, it might help you guys more than me."

Nobita handed Hinata's gift over, thinking it was Naruto's gift anyway, so he might as well give it.

Sakura reached out but grasped Nobita's hand, and started crying.

Sakura: "Thank you very much...SOB...SOB...we would've died if not for you. I was so afraid."

She continued to tell him about the Orochi incident, as if he did not already know.

Nobita patted her on the back, and consoled her, "You did well, you tried your best. It was highly dangerous, next time, be prepared when you face off against a strong enemy."

With those words and hopefully inspiration, he left Sakura to protect her teammates.

Nobita then took his scroll and darted straight for the tower since his job had been completed in this portion of the test. His next part of the plan would now be once this portion of the exam was over in a couple of days. For now, he would rest and be observant for any noticeable or suspicious moves by Orochi, since the complexion of the story had changed a bit now.

Nobita reached the tower and found that a couple of teams had reached before him, and were surprised that the solo player had passed the previous test.

While he was roaming around, he also found Gaara and his teammates Kankuro and Temari.

Nobita smiled and waved at Temari, which the girl found to be weird and ignored. Nobita laughed in response to his flirting failing, and just went to get a bit of rest, since his mind had been on edge for the last couple days.

On a sidenote, Nobita felt Temari was highly attractive, especially when she grew up, and so wanted to start building a relationship as he had with the other girls. This one was not off to a flying start though.

Nothing to do now but wait for this Forest of Death test to end.
