1 Chapter 1: Clan Meeting
The Hokage was expressionlessly sitting in the head seat as he looked at all the Clan Leaders of Konoha. They were sitting in chairs around a big, round table.
Everyone had arrived, except the one that the meeting had been called for.
'Why is he not here yet?' The Third Hokage wondered.
Just as the Hokage was about to inquire about the location of the person he was waiting for, he felt a familiar chakra signature getting closer.
'He's finally here.' The Hokage thought. In the end, the Hokage didn't say anything.
Even though the elderly advisors of the Hokage were getting slightly restless, No one spoke a word as they saw that the third Hokage had not spoken yet.
Some clan heads looked around for some hints, or to see if the others knew what the meeting was about, but the clan heads were either carefree, confused, or in deep thought.
And some Clan heads were sitting still, impassive as if nothing in the world could shake them.
The ones looking around for hints had noticed that the seat for the Zaraki clan patriarch was empty.
Suddenly everyone in the room turned towards the door as it opened.
They noticed that a handsome, black-haired, golden-eyed young teenager, about the age of 15 had arrived.
Some of those that were sitting down already recognized the young teenager as the son of the Zaraki clan patriarch, Oden Zaraki!
"Kid, it's not yet your turn to attend this kind of meeting, call your father here..." An impatient voice spoke.
Everyone turned to the voice and saw that it was Danzo Shimura, the leader of one of the more powerful clans and a close friend of the third Hokage.
"Actually, I was the one that called him here." Suddenly the Hokage explained in a gentle voice, even then, everyone heard him clearly.
Danzo slightly raised an eyebrow as he turned towards Oden for the first time.
As for Oden, he didn't care about the confusion or what Danzo had said.
After he opened the doors, he simply walked by everyone until he reached the seat of Zaraki Clan's head, and sat down without batting an eyelid.
"Hokage! Even if Butsuma is the clan head of one of the founding Clans, he can't just send his son in his stead!" Danzo retorted, with an aggravated tone.
Danzo had never liked the fact that the Senjuu, Uchiha, and Zaraki clans had been seen as the ultimate clans of all eras.
"Actually, I have called the meeting for two reasons, the first is the matter of Butsuma Zaraki... He was confirmed deceased two weeks ago." The Hokage spoke gravely.
As the words left the Hokage's mouth, everyone reacted strongly and they started speaking their mind. Discussions took over the room.
"Enough!" The Hokage silenced everyone and then waited for a bit so that the information could be processed.
Oden just looked around at everybody's reaction.
This was his second life, and even though he can barely remember anything from his former life, he does remember reading Naruto, dying, and getting three wishes.
His memories had weakened after his Reincarnation, but he didn't care all too much since he vaguely remembered the important bits of information.
But one thing he remembers clearly is his wishes.
He had at first wished for unlimited chakra but that was denied since chakra is the combined energy of spiritual and physical energy and that would count as two wishes.
After thinking deeply about that, he wished for unlimited spiritual and physical energies, and for his third wish, he hoped to have a good background so he doesn't easily get bullied.
Only after he was reborn did he get to know how his wishes had been fulfilled.
He was born as the prince of the noble Zaraki clan.
A clan that was on equal grounding as Senjuu and Uchiha in nobility in Konoha. Those three clans came together and founded the first hidden village.
And then above that, the Zaraki clan has another identity, they are also one of the three big Dojutsu clans in Konoha, besides Uchiha and Hyuga clans.
There is another Dojutsu clan in Konoha but their clan has always been weaker and in decline, so they are often forgotten.
The Rinnegan is considered a myth, a story of the old so they are rarely counted. The three Dojutsu of Konoha, Sharingan, Byakugan, and Mugengan!
The Mugengan of the Zaraki clan is very special, it has three levels.
At the first level, the sclera of the eyes becomes grey, at this state the user has unlimited chakra for about half an hour to an hour, after that they need a few hours of rest to use their mugengan again.
As for the second level, the sclera becomes blue like a chakra.
At this level, the user has unlimited chakra and energy for two hours up to two and a half hours, and they need an hour of rest before they can use their Mugengan again.
Those at the second level are considered the elite of the Zaraki clan.
As for the third level, only the direct lineage of the clan head can have it. The sclera becomes black, and the user has infinite chakra and energy for as long as they want. They can activate and deactivate their eternal Mugengan as they want.
Even though the third level can only be reached depending on the lineage, it's only a potential. The Zaraki clan members aren't born with an activated Mugengan, just like the other Dojutsu users, the Zaraki Clan members need to awaken and train their eyes and skills.
The third level of Mugengan also gives the user a unique ability.
In terms of physical capabilities without the Mugengan, the Zaraki clan members lost to the Senjuu clan but beat the Uchiha.
In terms of talent, the Zaraki clan loses to Uchiha but beats Senjuu.
Nonetheless, the Zaraki has always been a force to be reckoned with.
During the Warring States Period, no army wanted to meet the Zaraki Army, because the Zaraki clan would just endlessly cast very strong ninjutsu in synchrony to annihilate the enemy forces.
The enemies only considered two things to be good about the Zaraki Clan, that they were fewer in numbers than the Uchiha and Senjuu. And the fact that they were a neutral force that didn't easily start wars.
"Even if Butsuma-sama died, his son is too wet behind the ears, the former clan head before Batsuma-sama hasn't kicked the bucket yet, has he? He should have come!" One of the advisors retorted while agreeing with Danzo.
The former head of the Zaraki clan was Oden's grandfather, who had retired as a shinobi.
Suddenly a very thick and powerful Chakra was released from Oden. It was so powerful that they could see the air swirling around Oden.
Everyone turned ghastly towards The young teenager. What they saw and felt was not something they could easily understand.
Oden's golden eyes were surrounded by black scleras, He had awakened the Eternal Mugengan!
"My grandfather has retired, and won't be involving himself in politics anymore. I'll take up the patriarch position of the Zaraki Clan from now on. If anyone has a problem with that, I'll fix that problem for you..." Oden spoke threateningly.
And his words certainly carried a very heavy weight. The pressure was so heavy that they felt like they were in front of a tailed beast.
Everyone's faces got slightly pale, they swallowed their words. Just the fact that he had achieved the eternal Mugengan was a testament to his genius and prospects.
Not everyone from the head lineage can awaken the Eternal Mugengan, in fact, Oden's father never awakened it.
There were rumours of his grandfather awakening it but nothing was ever confirmed. The last confirmed person to awaken the Eternal Mugengan was one of the founders of Konoha! Yujiro Zaraki!
And now, this 15-year-old, great-grandson of Yujiro has awakened it as well, leaving everyone in awe.
