1 Reborn

A three year old, white haired boy with pale skin was currently sitting under a large tree inside the Hyuga compound.

He had been sitting like a statue for the last two hours. Well he was meditating.

This boy was the child of Arashi and Tsurara Hyuga. His name was Amatsu Hyuga. He belonged to the main family of Hyuga clan.

In the tragic event of Kyubi's attack three years ago, the boy was orphaned like many children that night. Being elite jonin of Konoha and in the anbu, they were the frontline shinobis during the attack. And also one of the few to die first in order to protect the village.

Amatsu was very little at that time to remember his parents faces.

Later Hiashi Hyuga, the current clan leader of Hyuga clan and a close friend of his parents decided to take him in. His daughter Hinata Hyuga was the same age as Amatsu and Hanabi a year younger.

Hiashi treated him as his own son. he didn't discriminate between his daughters and Amatsu. Hiashi's wife Asuna Hyuga also treated him as her own son. Infact Amatsu didn't feel being left out from the family.

Also being a main clan member himself made it easier. Others in the clan also treated him with the same respect as Hinata and Hanabi.

Amatsu was also special. This was his second life. In his previous life he was a 55 year old successful businessman. Although he was rich and lived a luxurious life, he didn't have any family members left.

From an early age he had drowned himself in his business. By the time he was 55, he was all alone with no one to care. Then he suddenly suffered from an unknown virus with no cure and died.

And the next thing he knew he was reborn as a newborn baby in a new world. He had no idea what this world was. Although it was somewhat similar to his old world, at the same time it was different. After all this world's occupants had an energy called chakra inside their bodies and other living things. They used chakra to do amazing feats.

If he had not seen for himself how people used chakra, he would not have believed it.

But although having chakra made him feel like a superman, he also realized a fact that people of this world were trained to be killers from an very young age. They were called shinobi. And this village which inhabited such shinobi was called Konoha.

Hyuga clan was a clan of shinobi. But they were special. They have a powerful bloodline ability called Byakugan. from what little information he had gathered from asking his uncle Hiashi, he knew that byakugan can be used as x-ray visions and binoculars. Also they can use it to see nearly 360 degree.

Just these facts alone made him happy beyond belief. Just imagine what he could do with such a pair of eyes. And in his clan, all of them have it.

But such ability also brought greed and jealousy of outsiders. Often times shinobi had wanted to take their eyes for themselves. To protect themselves, Hyuga clan members started using a special seal to protect their eyes.

But this created a division. Those with seals were called branch family and those without were called main family members. There were very few main family members. They were always protected by branch family members.

Amatsu loved his new family even though they were not his real family. He had long since came to term with his new life. If not for the fact that he knew it was real, he would have thought his previous life was a dream.

This situation helped him to have large spiritual energy since his birth. From what he had deduced his larger than normal chakra pool for a three year old was due to this.

After all from what he had read in some chakra related books, chakra was a mixture of spiritual and physical energy.

So to awaken his chakra, he was meditating for quite some time. Though typically you could awaken chakra at five, in clans, they sometime awaken earlier.

This was the advantage of belonging to a clan. You not only have the support of the clan but also knowledge of various techniques. Along with the guidance of older members.

This was not something a civilian shinobi could get.

So like many other times, he was focusing his concentration within himself to feel his chakra.

Suddenly he felt a soothing feeling and began to concentrate on it. as he slowly unraveled it, he felt a unknown energy slowly circulating inside his body. Upon further concentration he found a purple colour flame inside his chakra pool. This flame was his chakra.

He saw how his chakra was flowing in numerous pathways. He opened his eyes and began flexing hands. He felt like he could do anything with his chakra. Infact he thought he had become a superman. Never in his 58 years of existence he had felt such boundless energy.

Though he knew it was his illusion, he reveled in this for quite a few minutes. After all who wouldn't after they awakened their chakra for first.

"You managed to awaken your chakra."

Suddenly he was startled when he heard someone talking beside him. When he saw it was none other than his Hiashi ojisan.

"Ojisan when did you come? You startled me."

"Hahaha. Amatsu I am long since watching you meditate. Infact I was keeping an eye on you whenever you meditate to awaken your chakra. after all it is dangerous to awaken chakra without guidance." said Hiashi.

"What? but all the books didn't mention them." Now Amatsu was relieved that his uncle kept an eye on him.

"Those books didn't mention it because most children have guidance. Infact all the civilian shinobis are guided by teachers when they go to shinobi academy. Why do you think most children awaken their chakra when they are five? This is the main reason." Hiashi explained him. Infact when Hiashi saw Amatsu trying to meditate he could guess what he was doing. So he kept an eye on him. After all he loved Amatsu like his own son and Amatsu was someone with the largest chakra reserve he had seen inside a three year old. Except one special child.

"Thank you ojisan for taking care of me." Amatsu bowed his head in gratitude. He was feeling grateful. Even if he had a older mentality, he was still a child. And it was always nice to have someone caring for you.

"Don't mention it." Hiashi waved his hand to indicate him not to bow anymore.

"So now that you have awakened your chakra, want to activate your Byakugan?" Hiashi asked with a smile.

"Of course." How could Amatsu not want to activate his byakugan. He had been waiting since the day he learned about them.

"Ok. Follow my handsign and concentrate your chakra to flow towards your eyes naturally. Don't force it. Otherwise it can cause damage to your eyes." Hiashi showed him handsign to activate byakugan slowly.

Amatsu began to follow his direction. He had been practicing the twelve handsigns for quite a while. After all you needed handsigns to activate a jutsu. It was very important for a shinobi.

It took him a while to correctly follow the signs and concentrate his flow of chakra towards his eyes.

Suddenly he become aware of all his surroundings in a 10 meter radius. He could clearly see very minute details in this 10 meter. The amount of information his brain was processing in these few moments was multiple times the amount it process normally.

After a few seconds, he couldn't handle it and his eyes deactivated automatically. He was instantly assaulted with a headache.

"Don't worry. The headache will pass in a few minutes. This happens when we activate our prized eyes for the first time. Our brain needs to take time to adjust. This is why everyone has different range they can see with byakugan. But you don't have to worry. With enough practice, you will have no headaches and your range of sight will improve." Hiashi explained while massaging Amatsu's forehead.

"What was your range when you activated your eyes?" Hiashi asked.

Calming down, Amatsu replied "I think it was close to 10 meters."

Amatsu was still feeling the effects of byakugan. But he was very satisfied with the result. The amount of visual prowess these pair of eyes possessed was something else entirely. He had never seen anything with such clarity before. He could see clearly the dusts floating in the air to small grains of soil on the ground.

It was a feeling only byakugan users could feel and understand. He had overestimated the powers of byakugan before but still he felt like underestimating it. He only had tested one ability of these eyes the 360 degree vision and the clarity in which he could see all things. There were other abilities he needed to test.

He couldn't wait to test them.

"Good, very good. Indeed you are a genius like I have thought before. Being able have a range of 10 meters on your first try, I am proud of you Amatsu. Practice more. If you have any doubt come to me directly. I will help you to solve your doubts." Hiashi patted his back with encouragement and pride.

"Take a rest now." Hiashi left Amatsu to take a rest.

As soon as he left, a three year old girl with lavender hair and cute face came running towards Amatsu.

"Amatsu-kun, I am searching for you all over the house and your here." This girl was Hinata.

"Come Amatsu-kun. Let's play with Hanabi-chan. She is searching for her big brother." Hinata said as she calmed her breathing. She was little out of breath from running for sometimes.

"Ok. Lets go, Hinata-chan." Amatsu smiled at her and walked towards the house with Hinata holding his hand.

After all having adequate rest after work is important. And he was only three years old. No need to work so hard.

He was not going to spend all his time working like he did in his previous life. In this life he was going to enjoy all the things that life has to offer.
