15 Chapter XV

Chapter XV

After his inner monologue, Tatsuya noticed

the students taking their seats. All the original Konoha 12 were in the same class.

Somehow in this world, all the members of Konoha 12 were born around the same time. This was a notable change he noticed from the canon timeline. They even ended up in the same class. This included Neji's team, which was originally one year older.

'How convenient.' Tatsuya thought, feeling a little uneasy.

"Ahem! Everyone." Iruka coughed taking the podium to get everyone's attention.

"Now that everyone's here," Iruka began with a warm smile. "I want to congratulate you all on making it to your final year at the Academy."

"From this point forward, things will get more serious. You'll need to focus on your studies, teamwork, and hone your skills. This is the year you'll prepare for the Genin exams. Becoming a Genin is a big step towards becoming a full-fledged ninja.."

Iruka rambled on for more than 15 minutes. It bored everyone, including Tatsuya.

"What a drag…" Shikamaru muttered as he couldn't even sleep due to Iruka's lecture buzzing in his ears.

"Ugh, does sensei even get tired?" complained one student.

Seeing everyone's frustration, Naruto had an idea. He stood up and loudly declared, "Iruka-sensei, can you shut up? It's getting boring."

The classroom fell silent for a moment, everyone shocked by Naruto's audacity. Iruka's eyes widened in disbelief. Tatsuya sighed, realizing Naruto had done another stupid thing to gain recognition.

But what he got was all snickering laughs from other students at his idiotic act.

A twitch formed on Iruka temple as he looked at the grinning Naruto, the more he watched, the more his anger rose. "Calm down, Iruka. Naruto is just a bit of an idiot. He might have done it as a mistake. Before he could finish his thought, he heard another set of words that set his anger on fire.

Naruto was still grinning. He added, "Besides, all you said the useless boring stuff – train hard, don't get killed, and that's it! We all know it"

Iruka's patience seemed to reach its limit as he snapped, "Naruto! Detention after class!"

Naruto, unfazed, simply shrugged, "Eh, whatever. At least it would be more interesting than this lecture."

Inwardly, he was happy and excited, thinking everyone would now praise him. After all, he had saved them from a boring lecture.

'I might even take them under my wing, if they begged me for it… n-no, if they requested it. I will for sure take them when I become Hokage.' Naruto thought, smiling.

But when he turned to the crowd, expecting a warm welcome, all he got was snickering laughter from others.

"Wha-?" He thought.

Sigh…. Tatsuya facepalmed himself before pulling Naruto into his seat. 'Can you stop being an idiot for a second!'

"Uhh- but didn't they also speak badly about the lecture? I just did what they wanted." Naruto blabbered.

"You are lucky it's Iruka-sensei and not others. Otherwise, you would be lucky if you only got detention."

Naruto wanted to argue. But, seeing the atmosphere and the look in Tatsuya's eyes, he quickly backed down.

Kiba, sitting nearby, couldn't resist taking a jab at Naruto. "Well, look who thinks he's a hero. Bet you just did that for attention, loser."

"Y-You!! Shut up, dog. You stink. My farts smell better than your breath." Naruto mocked, causing Kiba to growl like a dog in anger. But when he saw Iruka-sensei looking at them with a scowl, he shut up.

"I didn't know Naruto could talk like that," Yumiko said, giggling.

Sakura rolled her eyes and said, "Honestly, they're just a bunch of crude idiots. Can't expect much from them. Talking so Vulgar"

Yumiko casually shrugged, saying, "Doesn't bother me." Then a sly smirk emerged on her face. "Unless, of course, you're too refined for a little slang, Pink Bitch."

Sakura was momentarily stunned, while a small laughter erupted from Ino beside her.

"You!!"

Ah, one thing he might have forgotten to mention. Once you become her friend, Yumiko can become quite vulgar in her speech.

The exchange of colourful language between them continued until a new sensei arrived and brought an end to them.

"Ahem! Ahem! How's everyone?" he asked.

He was a Tokubetsu rank Jonin Ninja and also Head of the Department of Jutsu Mastery and Chakra Control (D.JM.CC).

"We are good, Sensei!" Naruto shouted.

"I'm sure you are," he chuckled.

Then he walked to the blackboard. He proposed, " Since we are in a new class. How about I recap Chakra for everyone? It will also help you refresh your knowledge."

"Yess" x 17

Most of the students agreed to him and raised their hands.

"So let's begin with the most basic question. What is chakra?" he asked everyone.

Students promptly raised their hand. They confidently said, "It is the mix of Physical and Spiritual Energies in our body.""

"Correct. So now, what are these Physical and Spiritual Energies?" he inquired.

"Physical energy emanates from our bodies, generated by every living cell within."

"On the other hand Spiritual Energy is the product of our consciousness."

"Its growth is also tied to our growing awareness. We can do this through gaining knowledge, practising meditation, or having experiences." Yumiko explained.

"Good, Yumiko." He said, then turning to everyone.

"I'm sure everyone is at least familiar with this?" the sensei asked.

Nods of agreement filled the room; they had covered this material in previous years.

"Excellent. "Now, let's explore more advanced concepts," he stated. He then strode to the blackboard with chalk. We are moving beyond the basics.

"There are Five major properties of chakra that influence the formation of any technique—essential knowledge for every ninja," he explained while writing on the board.

"And these are….

In a small arena, two people faced each other, each forming several ninja seals with their hands.

Both of their hand signs were exactly the same, which meant they were going to use the same technique on each other.

[Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique] x2

Immediately, as they completed the hand signs, two water dragons formed at their sides. Both were exactly the same, though one appeared slightly wobbly.

Without waiting, both water dragons launched at each other colliding in a explosion.

"BOOM!"

"Aargh!"

A person on the left was slammed into the wall, cracks filling it, nearly knocked out from the impact. His body was fully drenched with water, and there was a large tear of clothes in the centre of his chest, exposing his bruised chest.

Opposite to him stood their sensei, a calm expression on his face as he turned towards our group.

"So, due to which properties of chakra do you think my opponent lost to me?" the sensei inquired.

Yumiko immediately said. "It's due to Shape Manipulation(Spatial decomposition)," she said to Sensei, "combined with Concentration & Balance."

"Correct, Yumiko. Go ahead and explain why it is," the sensei prompted.

Yumiko took a moment to organise her thoughts. Then she explained, "Sensei, except for the properties I mentioned, everything else in your jutsu was the same as your opponent"

"Good, but why was he the one getting knocked out?" Sensei asked.

"It's because the Balance and Concentration of the Chakra of Sensei were much better than the other person, leading to better control over the Spatial recomposition of the technique, leading to a more refined Technique ultimately resulting in Sensei's victory," Yumiko responded.

Sensei nodded wisely and said, "Excellent observation, Yumiko."

He turned to the crowd of students and said, "Concentration and balance are key parts of the Ninja way. Every Ninja should focus on them."

Continuing he added "The more you concentrate on the technique, the better its Balance and Spatial Recomposition will be. This will improve your control over it even more."

"And if your concentration and balance in your technique are good enough, it can even defeat a technique powered by much vaster chakra than yours."

"That's why just having a large Chakra doesn't equate to better strength. "

Except for some, like the prominent clan members, most of the students had their eyes shining like bulbs. They witnessed the sensei's demonstration and how he had effortlessly defeated the other ninjas.

"Sensei is so cool," they muttered.

"Now, moving on to the next point, let's discuss Chakra Reserves. This is one of the most important facts and truths that a ninja should acknowledge early on," the sensei declared.

"Chakra reserves are the amount and volume of chakra that a living being generates and stores in their body," the sensei said.

"Every living being produces some; even a little baby has chakra, though it is locked for them. We'll discuss why that is another day," the sensei added.

"The volume of chakra in a person slowly increases as they age, but at one point, it will stop and may even start declining."

"As for the criteria of this... I know some of you will be disappointed, but I'll be honest. The maximum amount of chakra you can hold is already determined at your birth," the sensei explained.

"Wha–?"

"How is that possible?"

"No-"

Expressions of shock appeared on some faces, while others only gave a resigned smile, already familiar with the knowledge.

Naruto also frowned and wanted to protest but Tatsuya held him down.

Tatsuya was sure that everyone in this class already knew this, even the ones who just showed shocked faces. But, they had refused to accept it. But hearing the confirmation from Sensei had surely been quite a blow to them.

Sensei continued, not batting an eye at their reactions; he had already seen such responses many times.

"I'll say the hard words now: Chakra is an energy that inherently depends on the bloodline of the user. So, people with a limited bloodline will have a hard cap or limiter placed on them," the sensei stated in a calm voice.

Clan students smirked gleefully, relishing the confirmation of their superiority over the civilians.

People with a civilian background winced upon hearing the words.

Sensei, observing the disheartened faces of his students, sighed before saying, "But don't worry, my beloved students. Chakra volume is not everything in this world, just like I said before. If your chakra control is better than your opponent, it is possible to defeat someone with much larger chakra reserves. There are always people who have won against the odds, so you shouldn't give up now."

'How ideal...' Tatsuya thought. He knew that if you wanted to become strong in this world, it was almost impossible without some crazy bloodline or genius talent.

But he knew that Sensei needed to give some hope to his students; otherwise, they would lose motivation..
