A few minutes ago, Jiraiya and other ninjas were waiting for the meteor to come close so that they could predict its path. When they calculated the direct impact area of the meteor, they realized it was near the Hokage rock, where all the civilians were located and needed to be evacuated. Moreover, if the Hokage rock was damaged, the entire Konoha village would suffer.

However, when the ninjas of Konoha village saw the size of the meteor, they became flustered, as its sheer diameter was almost one mile. Despite their anxiety, when they saw Jiraiya, they knew they also had a chance to fight back.

"I need your help to save Konoha from the upcoming danger of the meteor," said Jiraiya, pointing towards the sky. Fukasaku and Shima also saw the falling meteor, and their faces became serious. They nodded and went on the shoulders of Jiraiya.

Jiraiya started entering the sage mode because he knew that, in his base form, it was impossible for him to defend against such a meteor.

For the safety of other Konoha village members, he asked Fukasaku to summon Gamahiro and Gamaken so that they could defend against the falling debris of the meteor. Jiraiya was already low on chakra after summoning Fukasaku and Shima, and on top of that, he had to defend against the meteor.

At this time, Guy, who was with Kakashi, said, "It's time for the blue beast of Konoha to shine."

Kakashi also nodded, knowing that if Guy really goes into that Eight Gates Mode, their chances of defending against the meteor would increase significantly.

Slowly, the meteor came near, and as soon as it was within range, Jiraiya said to Gamabunta, "Throw me in the air towards the meteor."

Gamabunta did just that and threw Jiraiya in the air towards the meteor. Jiraiya started creating a Rasengan, and soon the Rasengan became huge in size. Powered by the Sage mode, the Rasengan became even more powerful, making it one of the most potent jutsu in Jiraiya's arsenal, known as the 'Sage Art: Giant Rasengan!'. As soon as the Rasengan collided with the meteor, the meteor cracked open, and the Rasengan easily blasted through it.

(A/N: Despite the name "Sage Art" in Rasengan, it became evident during Jiraiya's battle with Six Paths of Pain that he was unable to infuse chakra into his jutsus. Instead, only his taijutsu became stronger.)

After getting hit by the Giant Rasengan, the meteor was separated into many parts, but two big pieces of meteor still remained.

Guy, who was standing ready, immediately went into the Seventh gate form of the Eight gates. As soon as he reached the seventh gate, he stretched his hand forward and created a fist with the other hand.

"I will be using your back Mr. Gamabunta please forgive me." He ran on the back of Gamabunta to get near the falling meteor and punched forward, forming a tiger - his most powerful attack under the eighth gate, known as the 'Daytime Tiger'.

A white tiger shot upward and collided with one of the big pieces, completely destroying it. Meanwhile, Jiraiya, who was still in the air, formed another 'Sage Art: Giant Rasengan!' and again hit the remaining part of the meteor, destroying it.

Even after destroying the meteor into many parts, there were still many big rocks falling, which could cause harm. Jiraiya didn't have enough chakra to use other powerful ninjutsu, so he used Wild Lion's Mane technique to catch the meteors and make them collide with each other, thus destroying them.

Guy faced a similar situation, unable to use another Daytime Tiger Technique, but with his taijutsu in the Seventh Gate form, he moved from one stone to another, destroying them one by one.

The remaining stones falling down on the ground were dealt with by Kakashi, who used Chidori to destroy them, and Asuma, who used his wind blades to cut the rocks into many pieces. Other ninjas were also doing their best in any way possible.

As the meteor was very hot and burning, many ninjas used different water release techniques to extinguish the fire. Following Jiraiya's request, Gamahiro and Gamaken continuously deflected the falling meteor pieces away from Konoha or towards empty spaces. If they could destroy the rocks, they did so.

In the end, it took the effort of everyone for Konoha to survive this meteor fall. If the meteor had landed on Konoha, the village would have been almost completely destroyed.

Jiraiya sat on the ground, panting heavily, having exhausted his chakra. Fukasaku and Shima were sitting on Jiraiya's shoulder, praising him for his feat.

Guy also fell to the ground, experiencing the side effects of the Eight gates. His muscle fibers were ruptured, and he was in a state where touching him would cause immense pain.

"It appears you managed to handle the meteor. But I expected nothing less from a user of Sage Mode and the Eight Inner Gates," came the voice, and it was Jiryoku speaking.

When everyone saw Jiryoku, anger filled the air, but their anger quickly transformed into surprise as they noticed Jiryoku's hand firmly holding Danzo's head by the hair.
