They were eliminating members of their own clan in pursuit of the so-called peace within their hearts.

After Obito finished his rampage, he also extracted the Sharingan eyes from the slain Uchiha clan members. Finally, after half an hour, the once renowned No.1 clan of Konoha had been completely slaughtered.

After tormenting Sasuke by showing how he killed his whole clan and torturing Sasuke with his Mangekyo Sharingan, Itachi left the house to inform others that he had completed his mission.

Meanwhile, Jiryoku continued to wait. He knew that making a move now would raise alarms among others, including the Hokage, which he wanted to avoid. That's why his first step was to let the Root ninjas spread the news of the Uchiha clan massacre. Once they had gathered the Sharingan, he would make his move.

Finally, after half an hour, a Root ninja arrived after informing Danzo, tasked with retrieving all the Sharingan. The Root ninjas diligently carried out Danzo's orders and gathered all the Sharingan, placing them in a specially prepared box.

"Okay, we have completed Danzo-sama's orders. Let's go," the leader of the Root ninja team ordered.

"Yes!" they replied. Just as they were about to depart, they suddenly sensed an approaching presence. The sound of wind and thunder filled the air, resembling a raging storm. Instantly, they became alert. However, before they could react, a streak of blue light passed through the Root ninja holding the box of Sharingan, separating his head from his body.
