After eating his fill, Jiryoku left the Ichiraku Ramen shop. Just as he stepped outside, he heard a girl's voice from behind, saying, "Here, take these ingredients for tomorrow. I also made something special for you. Let me know how it tastes tomorrow after you've eaten."

"Thank you, Ayame," said Jiryoku as he took the ingredients for the next day. After that, he left. Ayame stood there, looking at Jiryoku's back. She always took care of him like an elder sister and felt pained whenever she saw Jiryoku, blind and relying solely on his perception to walk.

After Jiryoku left, Naruto asked Ichiraku, "Who was that cold-looking guy? He didn't even speak a single word. And why did he always keep his eyes closed? Doesn't he like to eat with his eyes open?"

Ichiraku explained everything about Jiryoku, and Naruto, after listening to his life experiences, also felt sympathetic towards him.

"I thought he wouldn't participate in a competition where we have to fight our juniors since he disdains fighting someone weaker than him."

These students were not talking nonsense. Jiryoku had earned the reputation of being a devil because whenever someone showed disdain towards him or made fun of his blindness, he made that person miserable in a fight. This caused the students to fear him. The main reason he created a narrow-minded persona for himself was that even if people from the Hyuga clan or Danzo doubted that he was suppressing his anger and hiding his shrewdness, they would not have this doubt anymore. Someone with such a narrow mind could not contain his anger and hide his emotions.

Jiryoku didn't know, but his trick actually worked.

Finally, Iruka came with Mizuki and stood on a high platform, announcing, "Everyone, today you can fight any of your senior class members to test their strength. Hearing Jiryoku's words, Mizuki maintained his smile, but in his heart, he cursed all of Jiryoku's ancestors.

"Then just accept that you are weaker than me," Sasuke said confidently.

Jiryoku disappeared from where he was standing and reappeared behind Sasuke, placing his hand on Sasuke's shoulder. He spoke, "What were you just saying?"

Sasuke's face changed, and he immediately moved away from where he was standing. Since Jiryoku wasn't holding him tightly, Sasuke was able to move freely. He was covered in sweat and looked at Jiryoku as if he had seen a ghost. One moment, he had a confident smile on his face, and the next moment, it transformed into a fearful expression.

At that moment, a sudden shout rang out, "Bastard, don't underestimate our junior class! I, Uzumaki Naruto, will defeat you!" Naruto came running at a very fast speed, assuming a punching stance. However, as he approached Jiryoku, Jiryoku kicked him in the stomach, causing Naruto to be sent flying. After rolling on the ground a few times, Naruto came to a stop. He was clutching his stomach and growling in pain.

At that moment, a thin line of shadow approached Jiryoku. Just as the shadow was about to touch Jiryoku's shadow, he disappeared using the Body Flicker Technique. When he reappeared, he was standing behind a boy with a pineapple haircut who was controlling the shadow. Jiryoku asked, "What are you trying to do?"

Shikamaru gave a wry smile and turned towards Jiryoku, saying, "I had heard that your blindness never hinders your combat abilities. It seems this is true."
