This novel is set in the United States in the year 2015, presenting the case of a serial killer who has been terrorizing the city of New York for two years. Despite the numerous victims, the killer has never been captured, and a detective who dared to confront him was gravely injured, receiving threats against his family if he continued investigating. Tragically, the detective and his wife are murdered, leaving their two children, Nicolas and Nahir, alone in the care of their aunt.
Nicolas, determined to avenge his parents' death, sets out to become a private detective when he is older. In the meantime, he seeks to train in martial arts and weapon handling from his uncle. Eight years later, Shina, a police lieutenant, requests Nicolas' help in the serial killer case, as he has been involved in the investigation from the beginning. Despite his youth, Shina trusts Nicolas' ability to solve the case, even if it means confronting the killer who caused his parents' death.
Nicolas, along with his sister Nahir, decides to accept the challenge and officially joins the investigation. As he prepares to confront the killer his father could not stop, Nicolas faces the reality that he is embarking on a dangerous path, but is determined to achieve what his father could not: catch the serial killer and bring justice to the victims. With his determination renewed, Nicolas begins a new and exciting adventure as the world's greatest detective.
