Meanwhile

1st Clone POV

After the main body used [Banishment] on me, I found myself in a place filled with natural energy.

At first, I was surprised as even the natural energy that is in the village is not as abundant as this. And Hagoromo has the same body, so natural energy is naturally attracted to him.

But still, the amount of natural energy in this place still dwarves it.

I decided to explore the area more. Walking in the direction I assumed to be the inner area, I notice that the air is becoming more humid but not uncomfortable.

Thanks to my improved breathing technique, I could take in natural energy at will but even this place makes me feel suffocated.

I hurriedly place a teleportation seal around the area in case something happens to me, my main body can still come here to investigate.

Maintaining my breathing, and drawing the natural energy toward my body, I feel the natural energy here has a different effect from the normal one I'm used to.

If my main body could train here for some time and get used to the energy here, he could master the [Total Concentration Breathing: Constant] and with that, the road to a perfect sage body will be closer.

As I continue walking, I notice some animals looking at me cautiously and some more timid ones running at the sight of me.

Some Intelligent ones look at me and continue what they're doing as if they don't see me as a threat. Maybe it has to do with the natural energy I am constantly drawing in.

Not much longer, my thoughts were interrupted by a very tiny voice that caught me off guard.

"What are you doing here human?"

"Who is there?"

I had my senses scanning the whole area passively, so no living being should have been able to sneak up on me.

"Down here. I am down here" The voice said again. I looked down and saw a white slug staring at me or so I thought as I could feel its gaze now that my senses were locked in it.

"You... are a slug?" That explains it. This must be the Shikkotsu Forest, one of the three sage lands alongside Mount Myoboku and Ryuchi Cave. Home to the Giant Slug Katsuyu.

No wonder the Natural energy here felt so unnatural. And this little slug should be one of Katsuyu's clones.

Deciding to feign ignorance, I bent down and said.

''Wow, a talking slug. First, it was a toad, and now it's a slug. What's the world turning into"

"So you have met the Toads, no wonder you feel different and your body also is different. Who are you, what, and how did you find this place?" she asked, though with a little less hostility.

I know for a fact that this slug may look harmless and cute but it is one of the three sages for a reason. I wouldn't want to antagonize her so I had to be polite. I never know when or if I will need her help in the future.

"My name is Shun Riku and I got here by accident. As for why I may feel different, it's because I practice senjutsu. I developed it myself and had the help of the toad, Gamamaru"

That ought to calm her down a little. I know they think someone with evil intentions can not learn to harness natural energy and also saying the toad's name should show I am not lying.

"Is that so? As far as I can tell, this place is in a different dimension so how did you end up here by accident?"

"Well, this is just a clone of the main body and the main body sent us to different locations randomly with a space seal and I ended up here. I swear I didn't come here intentionally to find trouble."

I decided to be truthful since she has already mentioned dimensions. There isn't any other explanation as to how I ended up here.

"You are a clone? You look and feel human to me," She asks in shock. I don't blame her though. Humans of this era have not even been introduced to chakra and she can create clones from her main body so I guess the shock is not surprising.

I decided to show her an example and created a normal clone from normal chakra and also created one with wood release.

"This here is a normal clone that has a portion of my chakra and this is a more durable clone that also has a huge portion of my chakra. My being different is because I was created with senjutsu chakra and blood so I feel real. My clones dispel when damaged but I can bleed and die like a normal human but I am still a clone in the end"

I finish my explanation with pride. Not many people in this world can boast of this achievement. Even Orochimaru, this world's greatest scientist couldn't do it till later on in the Boruto series.

Katsuyu approached my clones and felt them up. She also climbed my body and felt me up by scanning my body using natural energy.

"Wow... such ingenious creations. I wouldn't have known you were a clone if you didn't tell me. And by the way, how are you able to use natural energy while moving? I can even feel you drawing energy as we speak."

"That's simple, little Katsuyu. It's called the breathing technique. I created a technique meant for fighting while maintaining a balanced lung but ended up taking in natural energy and since then, I've been perfecting this technique"

"Currently, I can draw natural energy while walking, eating, fighting, and even while sleeping if the technique is taken to perfection. It is meant to be used in tandem with a sword. I don't know if someone will improvise it in the future"

"So what do you think?" I ask.

"Interesting if I do say so myself. I would like to know more but what about you, are you heading somewhere?"

''No, far from that. I would happily live to stay here for some time. The purpose of my main body teleporting us at random was to explore the world and learn new things after all"

''That's nice. Follow me, let me show you where we stay. This is just the outer area. The reason why I came all the way out here was that we didn't know If you were a friend or foe."

"Don't worry about it. I don't mind. If possible, I would like to know more about the natural energy around this place. I feel like I would make a breakthrough if I stay here for some time"

After we reached a consensus, I followed her deeper into the forest.

With me being the first human to come here, I could teach Katsuyu a lot of things that could be kept in their library archive so that when Hashirama or Tsunade get here in the future they could learn more about chakra and natural energy.

At first, I met the main body of Katsuyu and I must say, she's huge. Not the huge y'all are thinking but the huge size. Her main body is as huge as 500 to 700 meters give or take.

If I am not mistaken, when Tsunade summons Katsuyu, it will depend on her chakra size and control of the size of the Katsuyu that will be summoned.

Katsuyu didn't meet Hagoromo but she knew what was happening around the world. According to her, the natural energy present in the world right now is merely a fraction of what it originally was before the arrival of Kaguya and Isshiki.

The God tree should have sucked the world dry to produce that chakra fruit.

The humans before the arrival of Kaguya didn't even know the existence of natural energy. This world.is pretty young after all.

I wondered if there are other sage regions apart from the three mentioned and when I asked Katsuyu, she said there are lands where several sentient animals inhabit.

Animals like Wolves, Monkeys, Tigers, Tortoise, and even Dragons, but I guess the dragons must be extinct as there is no mention of them except the dragon vein that will appear in Rolan in the future.

From my knowledge, Dragon Veins appear where there is a corpse of a true dragon or in this case a dragon. If the sage region is in a separate dimension of its own, then there is a possibility that there is also a dimension where the other animals are in.

And now that I think about it, shouldn't Isshiki be alive and weakened by now? It would be a good time to kill the motherf**ker.

Meh. That's for the main body to decide or any unfortunate fellow clone that runs into him.

And with that, I stayed in the Shikkotsu Forest for six full months exchanging knowledge and leaving my mark around the place so Tsunade will know of me somewhat.

I managed to reach the [Total Concentration Breathing: Constant] during my stay here. I should have achieved one of the major reasons behind this one-year journey.

I left a copy of my [Akashic Records] here. Maybe Hashirama will see it and give it to Tobirama to create a whole bunch of war-inducing seals and techniques. But jokes on them because apart from the major seals being the [Dimension, Time, Space and Sealing] Seals there are no harmful seals in there.

I may be knowledgeable and all but I'm not going to create things that will cause more bloodshed in the future. I may kill a lot 'cause there is no way I am going to stay in this world without killing, but I at least will not be enjoying it.

I might even save all the people that will be wrongly massacred during the world wars and leave them in my dimension or another area of the world sealed off from the other parts.

Still, thoughts for the main body.

While leaving, I asked Katsuyu to come along with a small clone. There won't be any harm in her coming along.
