Title: First Meeting

....

Approximately two months since that incident, the Mizukage, Gengetsu and Tsuchikage, Mu both died in a mortal combat and all five major Villages effectively lost their leaders.

This led to the end of what was the first world war with all villages retreating and manning their borders.

In the Senju clan, Tsunade could be seen leaving the compound with a smile on her face. Today was the day she would be officially becoming a Shinobi.

Watching her leave were Mito and Tobirama who was seated in a wheel chair, his face not looking so eternally young as it should have.

After that battle with the Gold and Silver brothers, he was diagnosed to have been infected with severe chakra poisoning from the corrosive Nine Tails chakra, and not even Mito was able to cure that.

According to her, due to the adrenaline that was pumping during the fight, the chakra found its way into his Chakra pathways and made a lodging for themselves there.

So even though he lived, he was unable to manipulate chakra or he would face a severe case of accelerated decay.

"She's finally going to be a Shinobi, huh?" Mito asked with mixed emotions. On one hand, she was happy for her granddaughter but on the other hand, she was afraid.

"Seems like it..." Tobirama answered. "You don't need to worry too much, Saru is going to be her teacher." He said in a bid to assuage her worry.

"That just makes it worse, Tobi." Mito said as she sighed.

Tobirama frowned in confusion. "How? Saru is the best person I know that's capable of teaching them, Mito. He's also upright, so you have nothing to fear. We have nothing to fear." He said in convinction.

Looking at her brother-in-law, she shook her head and dropped the matter. She knew how he reasoned and she knew that he wasn't going to become flexible in his old age.

"Maybe we should visit Rōran? You need to go there." Mito suggested.

"Why?" Tobirama asked. "I've been there before so... Why?"

"You need to relax Tobirama... You haven't relaxed since the day I knew you." Mito said sadly.

"Heh. That's not needed, Mito."

"Hashirama relaxed you know?" Mito said. "He deserved it." Tobirama answered immediately.

"And you don't?"

Shaking his head, Tobirama said. "I don't. Aniki had that overwhelming strength and determination that made his dream a reality. Me? I have nothing, I'm my brothers Shadow and I need to continue watching over his dream."

"But you were the one that said to pass on the flame to the younger ones. Why don't you do so now?" Mito asked.

"..." Tobirama kept silent.

"You need rest Tobirama. We're going to Rōran and that's final. Kuchiki-san is there too, perhaps you both would have things to talk about with how intelligent you two are."

"I don't think so... I know he dislikes me."

"Wow... Genius. You just figured that out now?" Mito asked sarcastically. "He's always disliked your stuck up nature, and if he were here, he would say something like... Ahem: Learning how to live when there's no one around, It's like learning how to feel when the drugs run out.. or something."

"... That doesn't make any sense." Tobirama looked at her weirdly.

"I know, right?"

"Huh?"

"Don't 'Huh' me, Tobi. We're going. Inform your student about it, I'll be informing Tsunade. Maybe we can take her team together."

"We're really doing this?"

"Yup."

"Even with you being the Jinchuriki?"

"Yup... If they try to force me, I'll just have to beat some sense into them." Mito said and flared her Haki unconsciously making Tobirama shudder and cough.

"Oh, Sorry." Mito apologized.

Waving his hand he said. "Don't mind it... I'll see to Saru."

....

Tsunade was running towards the training ground that their sensei had told them to meet up on today. She was all hyped up on being a Shinobi and all.

Due to certain reasons, she couldn't arbitrary meet her friends, Keshiro and Yatsuyo and could only meet them once in a year.

They did exchange letters but that was it. However, as a Shinobi, she would have the privilege of traveling out of the village and could visit them whenever she had the time.

But first, she had to pass the test that Hiruzen told them they would be facing today.

Her teammates were rather unique. The genius of their class, Orochimaru, who looked both handsome and beautiful at the same time.

Many girls in her class swooned over him but for some reason, she found him lacking in comparison to Keshiro.

As the best graduating girl, she was also put in the same team as him, but one thing she didn't understand was why she was in the same team as the perverted dead last in the class, Jiraya.

She had this hate-like relationship with him because, unlike almost everyone child her age, only he dared approach her carelessly, not minding her status as the Granddaughter of the God of Shinobi.

She appreciated him for this, but what made her hate his gut was his incessant pervertedness. No matter how much he was beaten, he'd always come back.

But what made her unable to ultimately hate as she was supposed to initially was his White hair that reminded her of her two first friends.

When she had asked him if he was from their clan, he'd said. "Nah... I'm an orphan." She didn't know how to continue the conversation until her other classmates with the hair colour said. "That clan has both white hair and Red eyes. He doesn't have the eyes.."

He was from the Hatake Clan and was also a genius but he preferred the sword to learning Ninjutsus so he was easily overshadowed by Orochimaru.

...

Reaching the training ground she found that she was the earliest one and decided to seat under a tree and meditate like her grandmother had taught her.

Mito had said she had too much Yang energy for a girl and should always try to meditate whenever she got the chance.

At first she dreaded it but when she heard and saw both Keshiro and Yatsuyo doing it, she felt inferior and decided to join in. Since then, she'd always do this when she was bored.

Unawares to her, time passed and suddenly she felt the air around her face get obstructed causing her face to twitch as she opened her eyes.

What greeted her view was the face of the boy she'd rather not meet early in the morning looking at her with his face so close.

"Tsuna-chan, were you sleeping fashionably over here?" The boy asked rather innocently but her rising anger didn't allow her detect that as she raised her hand that was already balled into a fist and connected it to the boys face. "Jiraiya-Baka."

"Ehh!??" Came the boy's reply as he flew in the air and landed a few meters away from her.

"Huff. Huff." Tsunade was breathing heavily, whether from the mental exertion or just pure anger.

"I see you're all here," a voice sounded as leaves twirled and from it appeared a figure.

"You're late Sensei, and we're still missing Orochimaru." Jiraiya, already recovered said.

"He isn't, Orochimaru was here before you." Tsunade said.

"Eh? Where is he then?" Jiraiya asked while looking around.

"Over here." A tiny voice answered from behind Jiraya.

"Kyaa!" Jiraiya screamed like a girl and jumped on Hiruzen causing all of them to give him weird looks.

Dropping the blushing Jiraya, Hiruzen chuckled and said. "why don't we go over our introductions before we begin?"

In a bid to cover his shame. "I hope you're not weak sensei, otherwise you're gonna be a useless sensei." Jiraiya said cockily.

"How could a Jounin be weak? Idiot!" Orochimaru said to Jiraiya.

"Who are you calling idiot, stupid!!" Jiraiya yelled at Orochimaru.

"Shut up!!" Tsunade siad hitting them two on the head causing them to sit on the ground grumbling.

'It seems like I'll have to try to not get on her bad sides.' Hiruzen thought in half amusement while remembering the punch she packed even as a child.

"So we'll start with your names, likes, dislikes, hobbies and dreams for the future. I'll start." Hiruzen said bringing them back to the discussion.

"My name is Sarutobi Hiruzen, I like learning new things, training and smoking. I dislike Konoha's enemies and my dream is to lead Konoha into a prosperous age." He said.

"Kukuku... I guess it's my turn now." Jiraiya said dramatically. "My name is Jiraiya, I like training and learning new things about the female species...."

Crack!

The sound of a fist clenching could be heard.

"Uh... I dislike those who hurt my friends and my dream is to become the harem king." Jiraiya concluded.

"The?" Hiruzen asked.

"Huh?"

"You said 'The' not 'a'. Which means you plan on being the only one?" Hiruzen asked with interest.

"If there's someone Before me, then he has my utmost respect, but I'll surely surpass him someday." Jiraiya said.

"I see... Nice dream. I wish you luck." Hiruzen said sadly. He may have had that dream once, but being a clan kid had its disadvantages afterall.

"Alright, next."

"My name is Orochimaru. I like studying ninjutsus, training and learning new things. My dislikes are extensive of which Jiraya should be at the top...."

"Hey!!"

"My dream is.... I've not thought that far.." Orochimaru concluded.

"Hmm... Your turn Tsunade."

"Hai." Tsunade said. "My name is Tsunade Senju, my likes include meditating, learning Ninjutsus, Fuinjutsu, and iryojutsu. My dislikes are also extensive and my dream is to be the strongest Kinoichi around, even stronger than my Grandma."

"Oooh." Jiraiya said and whishpered to Orochimaru. "Is her grandma Strong?"

"Very." Orochimaru said seriously. "Haven't you heard of her?"

Jiraiya shook his head causing Orochimaru to sigh.

"Now that we've all introduced ourselves, it's time for you three to prove yourselves to be capable Genins." Hiruzen said.

"What? What do you mean by proving ourselves? We've already passed the graduation exams." Jiraiya asked.

"While you did pass that, we Jounins have the power to send you back if you don't meet our requirements. The Shinobi World is not like the games you played in your classrooms. In the Shinobi world, any carelessness could mean your death and I'm not about to have you three die meaningless deaths on my watch. Follow me." Hiruzen said and walked to a spacious area in the training ground.

Tsunade, Orochimaru and Jiraiya followed him till he stopped and pulled out two bells.

"You three have till noon to take these bells from me." Hiruzen said while placing a stop watch on an earth mound he created.

"But they're only two bells." Jiraiya pointed out the obvious.

"Exactly. The fact that they're only two bells mean...?" He asked.

"One person will lose." Orochimaru answered.

"You're as sharp as ever Orochimaru." Hiruzen praised.

"Ne... If I win, will you go out with me?" Jiraiya asked Tsunade

"Sigh... And if you lose you don't bother me anymore." Came here reply.

"Yosh." Jiraiya exclaimed. "I'll do it."

A Few Moments Later

Jiraiya was tightly bound to a log of wood as a bell dangled in front of him.

"Hehe, I won the bet, Jiraiya. You get to go to the log." Tsunade ridiculed.

"Shut up! Flay-chested plywood Tsunade!" Jiraiya retorted.

Hearing this flipped a switch which shouldn't be there in the first place in the nine year old girl as she grabbed Jiraiya by his collar.

"Huh? What'd you just say, you egg-headed pervert." Tsunade asked.

"Now, now. That's enough you two. Tsunade and Orochimaru, you may go." Hiruzen said.

"Humph." Tsunade snorted and left Jiraiya's clothes. "Hai." She said and turned to leave why jingling the bell loud enough for Jiraiya to hear.

The white haired boy and young man stood in silence for a good while before Hiruzen broke the silence.

"You're truly hopeless... How can a ninja keep falling into obvious traps?!

"Can't help it.

"Perhaps what you lack is a purpose..."

"Huh?"

"Let's see now." Hiruzen said. "Yes. We'll try this.

"Wha-What?" Jiraiya asked excitedly.

"Don't get excited just yet. Just watch." Hiruzen said and bit his finger, drawing blood much to Jiraiya's confusion.

Forming some handsigns, Hiruzen placed his hands on the floor.

[Ninpo: Kuchiyose no Jutsu]

Puff

A cloud of smoke arose from the floor and from the smoke came a two meters tall monkey.

Jiraiya's eyes widened in Shock. "Awesome!"

"The Summoning Jutsu... You make a blood contract with an animal, and summon them at any time using the transportation Technique." Hiruzen explained.

"I want to make a contract with that one too.

"That... You can't do." Hiruzen said dousing cold water on the boy's excitement.

"Huh?"

"It's the same way that every human is destined to a different fate, so too is the animals to whom his is interwined." Hiruzen said.

"Then... Which is my animal?" Jiraiya asked.

"Before you can make a contract, you need to be more adept at molding chakra and sealing." Hiruzen said.

"Eh? Not more training!" The boy lamented.

"You will always find the answer in your training. Trust me." Hiruzen said.

And so, the young boy found his purpose and then began the Tale Of Jiraiya The Gallant.

...

And so... Time passed with everyone doing their own things. On this day, Hiruzen was called by Tobirama and given an surprising piece of information.

"Both Mito and I would be visiting Rōran, have Tsunade and her team act as our escorts."

Was the request. He didn't know whether to file this as a mission or as a leave for the children.

Perhaps Tobirama wanted to give him sometime to himself as he could juggle being the Hokage and Sensei at the same time?

'Oh well.' He thought as he came to the training ground Jiraiya was training to pass the information over to the boy.

A clone had gone to do the same for Orochimaru because Tsunade was already aware.

Seeing Jiraiya seated in meditation he smiled. "Ah! Seems like he's discovered his Shinobi way." Hiruzen said in praise.

Meanwhile Jiraiya: 'When will I be able to make the contract?... Why do I even have to put up with this tough training?' He thought.

The image of Tsunade bending down and looking at his downed form played in his mind. She had said. "if I were to choose a boyfriend, I'd choose Orochimaru over an egg-headed pervert like you."

'The Answer is simple. I just have to become the ultimate Shinobi and sweep Tsunade off her feet.' Standing to his feet, he bit his finger and formed the handsigns. 'And not just Tsunade, I'm going to get all the pretty girls to myself.' He thought in determination.

"Let's see... Concentrate my chakra.... The seals are: Boar, dog, bird, monkey, sheep."

Hiruzen seeing these handsigns, widened his eyes in shock and shouted. "Wait! There's no telling what will happen if you use this technique without making a contract first."

But unfortunately, his voice fell on deaf ears as Jiraiya slammed his hand of the ground, generating a cloud of smoke before Hiruzen could reach him.

As the cloud cleared, Jiraiya was no where to be seen much to Hiruzen's dismay.

....

Shun's POV.

It's been sometime since I sat and talked with this fellow old geezer. A hundred years give or take. And the last time I was here, that short toad, Fukasaku was still a brat, in my eyes atleast.

"So you're telling me you're going to reverse Summon someone that has the same fate as me all those years ago?" I asked the now gigantic and old Gamamaru.

"Mm... It's the only way I could come up with to pull you into this mess." Gamamaru said shamelessly.

"Do you think I can't kill you right now for that? And what makes you think I would involve myself in this?" I asked as I unleashed my Haki on him.

Seemingly unfazed, he nodded and said. "First off, you can't kill me now. This body of yours isn't strong enough for that. Second, you don't have to get involved. Whether you like it or not, they're going to meet you. All three of them."

"Motherfucker!" I spat as I dropped my false bravado. He was right in the fact that I couldn't do him shit as I was right now. Not even my access with Senjutsu could give me the upper hand.

The annoying thing was that using a concept against him would be overkill as I would be doing something stupid on top of killing myself.

"Lemme guess. You have one of my tokens." I said in a tone that showed I already knew the answer.

"So you'll send him in there, the other two?"

"One is your Goddaughter and the other is lucky... Everything will fall into place." The old toad said.

"Sigh... You didn't call me here to tell me these things right?"

Shaking his head he said. "No... The future has changed drastically. The war that was meant to liberate this world has become even .ore devastating. Beings from that clan would be visiting this planet for some reason."

"What?!"

"Mm" he nodded. "Unlike when it was just about the Ten Tails, this time, they seemed like a scouting force. They were looking for something when they came across this planet. Hamura's concealing seal is already weakened, with the unleashing of the Mugen Tsukuyomi, the seal would shatter and this planet would be exposed to them in all its full glory."

Now that's bullshit. Or not...

Don't tell me they got information on where I'm from and decided to check whether there's another potential Me on the planet?

Couldn't Katsushiki and Evergreen have done something about them?

And to make Matters worse, I'm not even capable of fighting a mere Chakra sea as I'm now.

"Well damn." I said.

"Indeed. Damn." The toad cursed too.

"Now that's new." I said teasingly. "What would you have me do?"

"Train up some people to be as strong as Ashura and Indra. The child of prophecy and Indra's reincarnation seemed Stronger than normal in the future. I'm sure you had a hand in it as much as Jiraiya out there has. The area of contention now is, would you train up some people to fight alongside them?"

"..."

I didn't want to say yes and also didn't want to say no. Or rather, I couldn't say no in good conscience.

I know I am probaythe reason for them coming here so I would have to really train up some brats.

"I'll see what I can do." I said as I stood up."this is my home afterall."

"Then that's good... He's here, don't disturb my act..." Gamamaru said and immediately fell asleep as soon as the door was pushed open.

"Ah!? Shun-dono? I didn't expect to see you here. It's been sometime since I last saw you." Fukasaku's old voice greeted as he entered the hall with a stupid looking boy with white hair.

'Damn... That's Jiraiya.' I thought in mild excitement. This was the boy who would grow to be known as Jiraiya the Gallant.

See how stupid he looks now. Hah.

"Ah... Little toad, I see you're still...well, little." I greeted back as I squated to bump fist with the cool toad.

"We all grow differently, Shun-dono." He laughed awkwardly. "I see you haven't aged a single day."

"Hahaha. That we do, and yes, unfortunately. I still have the end of the world to look forward to and I can't die before I see it." I said mysteriously.

"I-I see."

"I won't keep you anymore, Gama-chan, is expecting you two." I said as I gave the boy a wink causing him to blush.

He better not be getting any ideas. It would be a shame if he didn't go down his perverted route.

After saying that, I teleported back to Rōran to wait out my days in peace and luxury.

....

"Who was that man?" Jiraiya asked.

"That man?" Fukasaku said. "Is the oldest and strongest Man alive." He said seriously.

"...Hahahaha. that's a joke right?" Jiraiya asked.

"How old do you think I am?" Fukasaku asked the boy.

"You're like...old?"

"Exactly. Very old. But even in my youth a hundred years ago, he looked just as young as he was today. And did you hear what he called the Old Sage?"

"What?" Jiraiya asked as he began understanding a little of what this old toad was saying.

"Gama-chan." Fukasaku said solemnly.

"Puff." Jiraiya laughed but stifled it on time.

"The Old Sage claims that that man is even stronger than him in his prime but as for how old, the old sage says he knows that man's father."

"So the old Sage is that man's uncle?"

"I don't know Jiraiya, I never ask what I shouldn't know. Perhaps when you meet the Old Sage or that man, you can ask."

As Fukasaku said that, he proceeded to walk in front of Gamamaru and knelt but received no response.

"Seems like I'll would have to train you till you're Strong enough to make him wake up." Fukasaku said as he pulled Jiraiya out of the hall.

And that was how Shun and Jiraiya had their First Encounter.
