Title: Courting Death

...

The day went by quickly with Shun and Hinami rounding up on things on their table, unlike the Shinobi system Tobirama was going to initiate where every sector is handled by the Kage, Shun's system relied on others doing the works while he merely approved with a seal of approval.

This was also the reason why there was always a monthly meeting with the squad Captains. Although they were captains, they still had a hand in all the happenings in the society.

You can possibly be cut off from the People you're meant to serve, now can you?

Economic, agriculture, trade, education, law, public administration, Smiths(weapon and otherwise), mining and many more.

Shun had gradually made this little island a treasure trove of natural resources, so there was no need to buy chakra ore from the Land Of Iron...

There was no need to introduce sophisticated metals and the likes as there was no need for them yet. The electricity used on the island was a result of the invention from the Country of Rōran.

As for the source of said energy, it was a tidal current turbine I came up with, and with the help of some blacksmiths, we were able to generate electricity to power up the entire Island.

There were lots of them, thankfully, there wasn't anything consuming the energy so it was just used to make the light never cease to shine in the island.

Shun had thought of introducing other basic amenities but decided against it as they already existed during the original canon, so someone would handle it along the line.

...

Early the next day, Shun was garbed in his ever trusty Yukata and his ceremonial Haori, he was on a ceremonial visit after all hence the attire.

Hinami and Mikoto wore their Haori too with the five other people accompanying us dressed in our formal military attire unlike the samurai attire most clans were in this times.

These five were the double numbers Mikoto saw fit enough to follow along, two ladies and three young men, all with impressive amount of chakra for normal people except for the slightly older man in his early twenties who was a Tengen.

Looking around, Shun caught sight of all the captains and their subordinates standing in an orderly fashion to send me off. The islanders were relatively unawares of my movements, those that were aware were already at the village gate to see me off.

Giving them all a curt nod, we began walking toward the village entrance. Directly using Flash Step to leave the village wasn't much of a great idea as there were people eager to see him off.

As soon as he reached the village gates, loud cheers could be heard all over the place bidding him safe travels.

"Stay safe out there, Sonchō!"

"Please be safe Sonchō."

"Bye Bye Sonchō."

"Kyaa. Sonchō-dono looked at me."

Various screams came from the crowd and Shun merely smiled and waved his hands at them.

"What a fanfare." Shun said lightly.

"That's because they love you Kuchiki-nii." Mikoto said a step behind him.

"Hah. I'm just doing what grandpa would have liked, no one is meant to suffer in this world." Shun said referring to the grandpa figure he had put into everyone's memories.

Reaching the gates, Shun turned and faced the crowd. Raising his right hand, the crowd grew quiet as he wanted to speak.

"I'm deeply touched that you all have come out here today to bid me safe travels, truly, it warms my heart, and I promise that I will keep your words in the forefront of my mind as we go and come back. You all are my precious people after all. Also, please keep the order that has already been placed in my absence, I wouldn't want any incidents that will endanger the masses happening, alright?"

"Hai, Sonchō-sama." The crowd chorused.

"Good, then I'll see you when I get back." Shun said and gave a salute to them to which they all reciprocated, the soldiers more orderly than them.

Immediately afterwards, Shun and his entourage flashed and disappeared from their view.

...

"Do you have an already set out path?" Shun asked no one in particular, but Hinami nodded and answered.

"If we move at full speed and on land, we'll enter the land of fire in six hours tops, then to the Island of whirlpools." Hinami gave a short answer.

"If we decide to walk on sea?" Shun asked.

"Then we will have to pass through the land of frost then the land of steam before we arrive in the land of whirlpools." Hinami answered.

"Hmm. Which is shorter?" Shun asked.

"On sea." Hinami said.

"Then we move in sea." Shun said and increased his speed to a level the other escorts should be able to keep up with.

"Why is Sonchō so eager? It's not like he knows anyone one from the Senju or Uzumaki clan does he?" Mikoto asked Hinami.

Hinami shook her head and said. "He doesn't know them but he knows of them and is eager to meet Hashirama. You'd have to know that his grandpa always praised him earning Kuchiki's interest."

"Is that so? But Nii-san should be stronger than them, Hashirama and Madara right?" Mikoto asked, although her tone was that of curiosity but of certainty.

"I don't know about that, he's never fought against anyone seriously not to mention monsters like Madara and Hashirama." Hinami played down Shun's strength.

"But his domain is all powerful, as far as they can't break or leave bis domain then Nii-san would surely win, no matter how absurdly strong those two are." Mikoto said confidently.

"Hmm." Hinami nodded non-committedly. Shun showing his domain was literally bullying so he had created one he used and showed to the public.

The Zone, that's what it's called or what Shun called it. In his zone, his orders were absolute.

Unlike Mikoto who only has the ability to deny injuries in her domain, Shun could deny emotions. In his domain, if you wish to kill him, he only needs to erase your desire to kill him and that's the end.

When it comes to energy manipulation, no one in this entire universe was a match for him, so even without trying, Shun was still able to create an Overpowered domain.

"Even you, nee-san, your technique are just too Unique. Why can you create wings and fly while I can't even do that in my domain?" Mikoto asked in an aggrieved tone.

Normally, in a domain, they could go against the natural laws, similar to the Uchiha and their Mangekyou Sharingan, but it seemed like once a domain was formed, you couldn't alter it any longer but supplement it with abilities similar to the original intent behind it.

"Sigh, I guess I just have too much talent?" Hinami asked back while looking at Mikoto innocently.

Mikoto almost coughed out the proverbial blood at Hinami's blatant showing off.

The other numbered escorts literally tripped and fell into the sea they were running on.

"Hmm? What's wrong?" Shun noticed this and stopped.

"Nothing Sonchō, we just lost concentration for an instant." The Tengoku guy said with a stoic face.

Shun could obviously spot a lie when he sees one but seeing them all evading his eyes, he dropped it and said. "You better be on alert and don't lose concentration arbitrarily, enemies can come from anywhere. Keep that in mind."

After admonishing them, he turned and continued running not bothering to address Hinami and Mikoto.

He was truly eager to meet Hashirama and see how the guy has turned out.

He knew that Izuna hadn't died yet, but both he and Madara had already awakened their Mangekyou Sharingan. They were still in the early twenties, around twenty five while konoha was formed when Hashirama was twenty seven.

...

"Sonchō, we have some hostiles right ahead." One of the sensors said from behind Shun.

Shun nodded and asked. "How many?"

"12, all with chakra above the silver rank." The guy, Tatsu, answered.

'So 12 Jounin ranked experts, huh?' Shun thought to himself. "Y'all should be able to deal with them right?" They were all gold ranked experts after all so they should.

"Hai, Sonchō-dono," he nodded and prepared to flash away with his squad before something suddenly struck Shun. "Wait!" He ordered.

"Yes, Sonchō-dono?" Tatsu asked.

Shun coughed slightly and said, "Wait awhile, there's something I've been meaning to try out for sometime now but haven't gotten the opportunity."

As if receiving enlightenment, Tatsu's eyes widened and he said. "I see, a new technique perhaps? I acnt wait to see you in your full glory Sonchō-dono."

As he said that, he fell back, Shun didn't know what the guy was talking about but he really did need to try this out and see how it'll work in this place.

In next to no time, they arrived in the area where a possible ambush was being laid. Possible because the individuals weren't exactly hiding their presence.

"Oi. Oi. What do we have here? A party of sorts? Why don't you let us join in? Damn, such fine ladies and who's the pretty face?" A thugish voice sounded from behind a tree as a man walked out from behind it.

This man had multiple scars all over his face with half of his hair already burned off. He carried a sharp knife and licked it to create a threatening atmosphere.

"Boss, if you don't mind passing the boy over to me, you can have the pretty ladies while we kill the rest off." Another boorish voice said as a robust man appeared from another side.

Other voices began talking as more people came out of hiding and surrounded the party of eight.

Shun nodded at their cliche bandit entrance and stepped up in front with an arrogant young master aura around him.

"I've been meaning to try saying this for as long as possible but ive never gotten the chance to do so as I've always been to caught up with things, but now, I don't have any responsibilities holding me back and no real threat to my life to make me fight seriously so I have only one question for you... Are you all courting death?" Shun asked.

There was a deafening silent as no one reacted soon enough but when someone finally reacted, it was the bandit boss who asked, "What!?"

***

Incase you feel the electricity stuff is too much, then don't forget there was already electricity during the 1st Kage meeting.
