New mission & A Strange Outfit
New Hokage and new mission
After the completion of the mission in the land of snow, we returned to the village. The news about return of the legendary medic nin, prince Tsunade has spread around the village. It turned out that he will take over the seat of the Hokage the day after tomorrow. So Minato was very busy preparing for the festival and his retirement. So I spent my time with mom.
The next day we were called to the Hokage office to receive our promotion. It was Minato's last act as the Hokage.
There were only two people who received the promotion. Me and Shikamaru Nara.
After that, I went home to celebrate with mom. Apparently Sasuke was busy brooding again after recovering. Apparently the news of him almost dying by resisting Itachi's assault has worsen his mood. But inside he was happy that at least he was able to resist his ultimate technique. Even though he will never admit it out loud. It was a miracle that he wasn't throwing a temper tantrum.
Sakura has finally been accepted as a permanent apprentice in hospital. So she was busy with her own work.
And Kakashi was awarding me like plague ever since we came back to the village. Probably from the fear of my mom.
Minato was busy with his office work the entire day. So in the evening we finally had a family dinner. Surprisingly Jiraya attended the dinner along with Tsunade and Sizune and turned it into a non family dinner.
The next day was the inauguration of the fifth Hokage of the hidden leaf village.
Minato officially handed over the hat to the grandson of the first Hokage, the slug Sanin, prince Tsunade Senju. A small celebration was held around the village that night.

"So this mission is in the land of tea ?" I asked the new Hokage in front of me.
"Yes the client was an old friend of mine. That's why I am sending your team. You have experienced on expected circumstances before and still have completed your mission. That's why I have chosen your team. And one more thing. Kakashi won't be able to accompany you in this mission. He has already another higher ranking mission to deal with. That's why I want you to take the lead." Saying that he handed me over is scroll. Reading the contents I realised that this was an escort mission. Where we have to guard the racer throughout the entire competition. The client was suspecting that the other party might try to hinder or cheat with them. And their is also a possibility that shinobi might get involved. But it's chances were very low. That's why it was being assigned as a C rank mission instead of being a B rank mission.
I remembered that this event in the canon was the prelude to converting 'Naruto' into 'chase Sasuke' show.
Except for that there was a race where they faced a Ninja with some kind of legendary lightning blade, I didn't remember anything else.
After leaving the hokage office I went to inform both of my teammates about our new mission.

'No wonder hey couldn't survive as a shinobi.' Naruto thought to herself as the boy they were supposed to protect licked her toes and barked like a dog.
When team seven first met the boy in a local restaurant in the land of tea, he tried to hit on Sakura and Naruto. But when he didn't succeed he tried to run away after dumping his bill on them . So Naruto decided to teach the boy a lesson. But after interrogating him a little under the pressure of Asmodeus Haki, he gave in to the temptation and spitted out everything he knew. It turn out that he was the racer we were supposed to protect.
After punishing him a little the team decided to go to the client and meet him in person.

"I see you have already met each other." Asked Muramasa after the introduction. He was a famous businessman and a high ranking noble of the land of tea.
"Yes were eating lunch in a restaurant when we met this young man."
Naruto answered the noble man politely.
"Well then that made things easier. I have prepared lodging for you. The race will start tomorrow morning. I have prepared a scroll giving detailed information about the route they will take during the race." He handed over the scroll to Naruto.
"We understood you can rest assured we won't let anyone interfere with the race." Naruto assured the client.
"Oh yes I forgot to tell you. Be careful, there is no rules in this race except for prohibiting direct help." The noble man said again.

After the pleasantries Sasuke and Sakura went to their quarters to blow off some pent up lust. And in case of Sasuke it was frustration. I decided to visit the market area in the mean time. I wanted to collect some information about this race. The entire town has been decorated in the occasion. Apparently this race has been happening since three hundred years ago. The outcome of this race will decide the ruling noble of the lands for next 10 years. After visiting a few places I found a beautiful looking kimono in a shop. But there was something strange about that kimono. At first glance it was a normal piece of cloth. But at closure inspection I found that their must be something special about it. After I bought it I searched it thoroughly it was a little bit heavier than a normal kimono. After inspecting it thoroughly I found something sewn into it's collar. After opening it I found a seal. A different type of seal that I have never seen before. It was attached to the kimono with a chakra thread. The pattern of the seal were strange. It was a three pointed star. Like the logo of Mercedes Benz. When I tried to unravel the seal it didn't work. I could feel chakra in the tag. So I decided not to mess with it and bring it back home so that mom could inspect it thoroughly. I never knew that just a stroll would turn into me finding such a intriguing dress.
After eating Raman in a local restaurant I returned to our quarters.
