Prospects

Time passed and Jin's fourth birthday arrived. Fugaku and Hideki were also born on the same day, which the Uchiha clan saw as a good omen.

Even though it was a special day, Jin was gloomy. His father had yet to return from his last mission, meaning he would surely miss the occasion. Hanami was in a similar state, albeit a little more optimistic than her son.

His head drooping, Jin couldn't hold it anymore.

"Is dad going to miss my birthday?"

Jin asked his mother, with worry in his voice. Hanami just looked at him and smiled.

"Don't worry, I am sure that your dad will make it."

"Yeah..."

Jin had gotten close to his parents in the past few years. They provided him with affection that he never received in his past life.

Seeing her son all depressed, Hanami tried to cheer him up.

"By the way, today is the day you, Fugaku and Hideki get your chakra natures tested! Isn't it exciting?"

Jin's face lit up, he had been waiting for this moment for the past four years. Chakra Nature! He was already able to sense and mold chakra at a beginner level, thanks to his dad's training. Not having learned any jutsu because of his weak chakra reserves, he wanted to know his nature!

Seeing her son's mood improve, Hanami smiled.

"Jin, there's something I wanted to tell you… Now that you're four, It should be the right time."

Hearing his mother's words, Jin immediately guessed what she was going to say.

"Is it about your appearance?"

Hearing this, Hanami gasped in shock. Her son was sometimes too clever for a four-year-old.

"Yes... Although Inari wanted to be here for this, he should be okay with it."

"Knowing you, you've probably realized that I'm not from this clan. I'm not even from Konoha."

"The truth is that I come from Kumo, the village hidden in the clouds."

This was no surprise to Jin, who faked a shocked look to not look suspicious.

"Kumo? How did you and father meet?"

Hanami smiled and remembered her past.

"Well, I and a few other Jonin were sent on a mission in the border between the land of fire and the land of wind. That was where I met your father… He was also on a mission to intercept and neutralize our squad, keep in mind this was all in the first great ninja war."

"Inari singlehandedly got rid of all my teammates, and I wasn't able to do anything about it. His level was far beyond anything we could imagine."

"All I remember was blacking out after seeing his eyes once. Back in Kumo, they had warned us about the Sharingan, but I was too mesmerized to look away. His eyes were beautiful to me."

Jin listened intently to his mother as she told her story. If his father was strong enough to take on multiple Jonin, how come he was never mentioned in the original series?

"When I woke up, Inari was by my side, treating my wounds. I asked him why he did not kill me, and that's when he told me that he would never kill such a gorgeous woman. I remember feeling my face burn up in embarrassment…"

"To my surprise, the Uchiha welcomed me almost immediately after Inari told hem I was the love of his life. I thought it was going to be a hard process, but I was wrong. He clan took me in as one of theirs almost from the get-go."

"Really?"

To jin, this sounded fishy. The Uchiha were a very proud clan, and outsiders were not always welcome. His father must've had a lot of influence over the clan for this to happen.

"Yes. Ever since then, I have proudly carried the Uchiha surname."

"Well, maybe they thought you were really pretty!"

Hearing Jin say that, Hanami giggled. Her son had inherited his dad's smooth-talking abilities.

Later that day…

Jin made his way to the Uchiha training grounds and was soon greeted by the sight of Goro, Fugaku, Ayaka, and Hideki, conversing over some tea.

His mother was supposed to be with him, but she suddenly locked herself into her room, saying she didn't feel very well.

"Hey There! How're you doing, Jin-kun? You look stronger than ever!"

Goro had his usual strong and proud demeanor. He smiled, looking at his beloved nephew.

"I am fine, uncle Goro."

A small boy with a haughty expression walked up to Jin from behind Goro. Their eyes locked and tension filled the air.

This was Fugaku, who looked as confident in himself as usual.

"Today I'll show you and everyone here that I'm superior."

"We'll see about that, Fugaku-chan."

Hearing this, Fugaku's face twisted in anger.

"Stop calling me that!"

Everyone laughed cheerfully.

"Hmph."

Fugaku looked away, and Hideki spoke up from behind his mother, a little nervous.

"How are you doing big bro? Can we spar later?"

Jin smiled and nodded.

"No problem! You look like you've been working hard Hideki!"

Hideki smiled. Jin was like a shining star in his eyes and he looked up to him more than anyone else.

Interrupting the three cousin's chatter, Goro cleared his throat took out some pieces of paper from his pocket.

"Now then, let's get down to business."

Goro handed out Chakra induction papers to the trio and explained the process.

"You only need to let your chakra flow through the paper, and depending on what happens to it, your chakra's nature will reveal itself."

He then took out another paper and released chakra into it. The paper ignited and was immediately turned to ash.

Jin knew what would happen already, but Fugaku and Hideki gasped in shock.

"This means that my chakra nature is fire!"

"My turn!"

Unable to wait, Hideki closed his eyes and let his chakra flow through the paper. It then ignited, before splitting into two pieces.

Seeing this, Goro's jaw dropped.

"We have a dual attributed genius! A generational talent!"

Fugaku and Hideki had looks of confusion as Goro got all excited.

"Hideki, this means that your chakra has two natures... Fire as your primary affinity, and Wind as your secondary!"

Jealous of his father's attitude towards Hideki, Fugaku quickly released his chakra into the paper too. The paper once again ignited, but this time it became dirt as it crumbled under the fire, leaving a strong dirt smell in the air.

Goro looked like he was struck by lightning as he looked at his son.

"Congratulations, son. You are also one in a million! Just like Hideki. In addition to fire, you possess another affinity… Earth!"

At this point, Goro was in deep shock. A single dual nature ninja was a genius In any village, but two in the same clan? It was nothing short of a miracle.

Fugaku smirked and looked at Jin with provocation in his eyes. There was no way he could beat him now.

Hey guys! Toxin here.
