Chapter 10: that Sasuke Won First Place but Began to Worry

Orochimaru said, "It's normal. Without a good teacher, that's the result."

Uchiha Fugaku remarked, "Well, if only we were still around."

Hatake Kakashi observed, "With Sasuke's talents, most of the time spent in ninja school was a waste."

When Sasuke first graduated from ninja school this year, he didn't even know how to climb trees using chakra, and his Sharingan was ineffective. But in a short amount of time, he developed a two-tomoe Sharingan! He recently learned the Chidori and also mastered using thunder attribute chakra to accelerate his body. His strength has increased significantly!

In contrast, Sasuke's strength improved very slowly during his time in ninja school. He had already mastered the school's teachings, and the rest of his time was wasted. Sasuke looked at the heirs of the major ninja clans in his class and envied their guidance, but he knew he had to train on his own, steadily practicing the ninjutsu he had long been proficient in.

In the ninja school exams, Sasuke always maintained first place until he graduated at the age of 12. Namikaze Minato recalled, "Those years were really important. I was guided by teacher Jiraiya at that time, and my strength improved quickly." Because Jiraiya took the time to teach him, Minato had strength comparable to a Jōnin when he graduated. He even rescued Kushina from a kidnapping by himself while still in school.

Uchiha Sasuke, however, was considered just an excellent Genin at best when he graduated at the age of 12. Orochimaru told him, "Uchiha Sasuke, if you want to improve your strength quickly, you can come to me. I am confident my teaching ability is better than Jiraiya's."

Kakashi warned Sasuke, "Don't be fooled, Orochimaru can't be so kind!"

Sasuke remained silent, knowing that he wouldn't need Orochimaru's teaching if he had been able to earn a powerful reward through the question-and-answer session.

The playback on the silver-framed screen paused, and the gold-framed screen started playing. In a parallel world, Sasuke worked even harder, spending most of his time training every day and minimizing other activities. He left the preparation of daily food to Sakura and Ino. For his ninja school homework, all he needed to say was a spell: "Arigato, Small Sakura Sauce!" and Sakura was more than happy to help.

During the practical assessment of the ninja school, the girls were almost all cheering for Sasuke, shouting, "Go Sasuke!" and "Sasuke is number one in the world!" The male students, however, were dissatisfied. Uzumaki Naruto, Inuzuka, and others were eager to challenge Sasuke.

"Next set, Uchiha Sasuke vs. Uzumaki Naruto," announced Teacher Iruka. Sasuke stepped onto the stage and frowned at Naruto, who was filled with disbelief.

[As Sasuke looks at the stands, he begins roll call:]

["Tooth, Shikamaru, Choji, and you from the Aburame house, let's go together."]

["What do you mean, Fart Sasuke?!"]

["You're such an asshole, do you think you're better than us?"]

["This is so troublesome..."]

["Okay, let's finish the game early, rest, and eat."]

["...My name is Aburame Shino."]

[Under Sasuke's command, Naruto Uzumaki and five others prepare to fight against him.]

Uzumaki Naruto: "He's too arrogant; he doesn't take us seriously!"

Inuzuka Tooth: "He's so full of himself; let's see if he has any girls cheering for him!"

Nara Shikamaru: "I have a bad feeling..."

[The battle begins.]

[Naruto and Kiba attack from two different directions.]

[However, in front of Sasuke's Sharingan, their movements seem as if in slow motion.]

[With a slight dodge and push, Naruto and Fang end up colliding with each other.]

[He jumps to avoid Shikamaru's shadow sneak attack.]

[Choji curls up into a ball and charges.]

[Buzz!]

[Sasuke's Two Tomoe Sharingan stops suddenly!]

[Choji heads straight for Shino in the corner.]

["Choji, you're under an illusion; Sasuke isn't there!"]

[Shikamaru quickly warns him.]

[Choji changes direction but ends up running into Kiba and Akamaru, resulting in another collision.]

[Naruto also falls for the illusion and frantically harasses Shino, leaving him helpless.]

Iruka: "The gap is too wide to bridge."

Hatake Kakashi: "The Two Tomoe Sharingan is overkill at a ninja school."

Orochimaru: "This shows the limit of bloodline inheritance. Talent gaps aren't easily closed."

Nara Shikamaru: "The strength difference is too vast. Even with tactics, we might not stand a chance."

Aburame Shino: "Besides, we don't have enough teamwork."

Uzumaki Naruto: "Damn! That Sasuke is even more annoying than our Sasuke here!"

Uchiha Sasuke: "???"

[Without much effort, Sasuke easily overcomes the group of five.]

[During the combat test, he wins first place hands down.]

[Cheers from girls echo through the audience.]

[Naruto and the others are extremely frustrated.]

[Yet, Sasuke doesn't show any sign of happiness.]

[Instead, he feels very anxious.]

[Naruto and the rest grow even more upset, thinking Sasuke is just putting on an act.]

[But Sasuke is genuinely worried.]

[The students at Ninja School realize that if several of them join forces, they might achieve this level of strength.]

[Will those years be spent in minor squabbles with Naruto and the others?]
