Jason's End

The phrase "One for all and all for one" was first associated with the Three Musketeers, but now it's also a common theme in the Shonen manga series, My Hero Academia. The series follows the story of a powerful quirk called "One for All" that is inherited from one user to another, gaining strength and abilities with each passing generation. On the flip side, the main villain of the series, All for One, has a quirk that allows him to take, grant and use multiple quirks simultaneously.

Although One for All is the protagonist's power, I've always found All for One to be more versatile. Despite this, I don't think All for One's user, who aspired to be a Demon King, made the most of the available quirks. In my opinion, he could've done better with the quirk considering the great number of abilities at his disposal.

While re-watching the All for One vs All Might fight on YouTube, I found myself thinking about how I could do better with All for One's abilities, even daring to say, "I would make a way better Demon King than All for One." As I chose the next video, I pondered aloud, "I don't want to disrespect All for One's achievements, but I think he lacks imagination given the diverse number of abilities available to him."

Of course, these thoughts are easy for me to vocalize since I'm not in All for One's shoes and I don't have to deal with the obstacles he does. It's important to keep in mind that my perspective is different from his due to my temporary status and lack of constraints.

When I was younger, I dreamt of becoming a true Demon King, defying the entire world and its chosen hero. I imagined myself fighting against everything and anyone, putting my existence on the line to prove my superiority. I always fancied being the villain in a Shonen series, struggling against a world that would do anything to help its chosen one, only to be brought down.

I know that my preference for villains who win may seem chaotic, but everybody has their own preferences. And personally, I enjoy the thrill of a villain coming out on top. As I wait for the end to come in my apartment on the top floor of a burning building, I can only hope that my death will not be in vain. Perhaps, as I've read in some fanfics, there is a bored ROB (Random Omnipotent Being) out there looking for entertainment.

You may be wondering what's going on with me right now. The building's lower floors are ablaze, and while I should be trying to escape, the fire has already spread to the evacuation route. So instead, I returned to my apartment. If I'm going to die, I might as well enjoy one last moment of something I love. I can only hope that I won't be burned on this side alone. With these thoughts, I chuckle to myself as I wait for what's to come.

Even as the fire raged on, Jason remained glued to his screen, watching video after video. After ten more minutes, the power to his apartment went out, and smoke began to seep through the cracks in the door, signaling that the fire had finally reached his floor and apartment.

Although he knew he could save himself, Jason didn't see a reason to continue living in this world. Instead, he had gambled everything on the hope that death was not the end, and that he might be able to achieve that childish dream of his, as he had read about in fanfics about transmigration and reincarnation.

As the smoke slowly crept into his room, Jason could feel the scorching heat from his burning door and the searing pain in his lungs from smoke inhalation. Carbon monoxide poisoning caused his eyes to slowly close, and his last thoughts were a desperate plea: "I really hope this works."

In the dimension that existed somewhere between the universe and the multiverse, a bored ROB had been passively observing Jason's last moments. Moved by the soul's desperation, the ROB decided that Jason could be a source of entertainment and pulled his soul out of the cycle of reincarnation to the ROB's pocket dimension.

As the soul stirred, it found itself in complete darkness with no physical sensation. Jason wondered whether he had ended up in a personal hell or had indeed been pulled into a ROB dimension. Suddenly, the sound of laughter echoed throughout the space, drawing Jason's attention.

"Great and powerful being, I am at your service for entertainment in exchange for power," Jason appealed, attempting to bow as a soul.

The ROB chuckled in response and asked, "Why should I grant your wish when I already have your soul in my possession?"

Jason was taken aback by the question. He knew that he had nothing to offer other than his soul, which the ROB already held. He was at the ROB's mercy, and the realization left him feeling helpless.

As Jason's soul shook with fear and doubt, he thought to himself, "Why would a ROB need anything from me? I didn't think this through, but I've come this far. I can't quit now," and decided to take a gamble. With renewed courage, he spoke again, "I know I have nothing to offer, but I beg you for the opportunity to have abilities. I would have liked to choose my background and destination, but I leave that up to you for the sake of a wish for All for One."

The ROB was pleased to see Jason groveling for this opportunity but had already planned to grant his wish. "I can appreciate a lesser being who's willing to grovel. In the spirit of entertainment, I'll grant your wish, and I'll decide the rest of your settings," said the ROB.

Jason was both excited and scared by the prospect of finally getting his wish for power, but he was also afraid of the potential settings that the ROB could choose for him. He carefully stated his wish, "I wish for a customized ALL for one quirk with preabsorb quirks, please." He hoped that the ROB wouldn't impose his decisions on the preabsorb quirks and instead let him choose them himself.

The ROB was aware of Jason's concerns but, given that he planned to throw him into a world with high difficulty levels, he decided to let it pass. The ROB responded, "Grant. Since you didn't limit the number of preabsorb quirks, I'll give you five. Please name the additional quirks."

Jason was ecstatic to hear the ROB's response, and he immediately began to ponder what preabsorb quirks he should ask for. He wanted to clarify what he could ask for, so he asked, "Can I ask for a quirk that contains other quirks, like One for All ninth generation or Nine with all slots filled?"

The ROB found Jason's question amusing and decided to give him a bone. "Okay, I grant you One for All ninth generation since nine is just a lesser version of All for One. However, you cannot have New Order, Overhaul, Rewind, and Creation. Choose the next four quirks," said the ROB.

Jason was thrilled to have obtained One for All as it would provide a quantitative boost to all other quirks. However, he put aside thoughts of the forbidden quirks and focused on choosing the next four.

As Jason pondered which quirk, he should ask for next, he couldn't help but ask Rob, "Is there any chance you could give me an idea where I'll be heading, so I can make the best possible decision?" Rob replied, "Unfortunately, because you wanted to be my entertainment, I can't tell you unless you're willing to lose your memory of that world once you wake up there." Jason thought about what Rob had said and decided that it would be better if he knew the destination, even if it meant losing the advantage of having prior knowledge of the world. "I accept the deal gladly so that I can make the best possible choices," Jason said while waiting for Rob's response.

"You will be traveling to the land of shinobi, that's all the information I can give you," Rob replied. "Naruto!" exclaimed Jason, expressing his worry. He knew that the world of Naruto was full of dangers, and he wouldn't be fooled by how childish it may seem. Jason understood that any carelessness would lead to death, so he had to focus on his initial survival and carefully consider his next four quirks.

"Very well, ROB, what do you want in exchange for your explanation?" asked Jason, knowing that nothing was free in this world.

"Well now, I'm glad you're thinking like a mortal," replied ROB. "In exchange for my explanation, I will be making a few changes to the quirks in One for All. I can't let you have it too easy, can I?"

Jason was apprehensive about the possible consequences of accepting ROB's offer, but he knew he had to take the risk. "I agree to your terms, but the changes you make to One for All concern me as well," he said to ROB, hoping for the best.

ROB reassured him by saying, "I understand your concerns, and I will address them all. Firstly, I will remove Fa jin and Gearshift from One for All. However, don't worry, as I will replace them with Eijiro Kirishima's hardening quirk and the super regeneration ability of NOMU.

Two, the function of All for One in the world of Naruto will be similar to in the original series with some differences. You will still be able to steal the chakra of others and use it to enhance or create new quirks, but the stronger the quirk, the more chakra it will require.

Third, with All for One, you will have a spiritual space where the excess chakra will be stored. Fourth, while you will possess chakra, you will not be able to use ninjutsu or genjutsu since your chakra will be used to fuel your quirks.

Fifth, with One for All, there will be no past users to contend with. Rather, you will have extra mental and physical energy that generates more chakra, similar to the Uzumaki clan when young or a Biju when older. Sixth, you will be the result of an experiment using a High-End NOMU corpse and First Hokage cells, created by Orochimaru.

Seventh, you will be transported to the world during the Third Great Ninja War, but you will not be conscious for a few years due to being locked away in the lab until your development was complete and afterwards due to it being abandoned. Lastly, your appearance will resemble All for One but combined with the skin color and larger body of a High-End NOMU."

As ROB explained everything, he also warned Jason about the potential dangers of absorbing chakra from other beings stronger than himself. "If you try to absorb some stronger than yourself, they may overpower your chakra taking your body" warned ROB. However, Jason was determined to face any challenge that came his way. He was amazed that ROB had been able to address all his concerns, even without him having to ask for them directly. Although he was concerned about being an experimental being created by the Leaf Village, he saw it as a perfect background for his goal of becoming a Demon King.

"Thank you for helping me with my concerns, ROB," Jason said. "I am now ready to choose my next four quirks so that I can begin my journey and start the entertainment."

Jason had lost some of his power with the removal of Fa jin and Gear Shift, but he knew that the hardening and super regeneration quirks would help keep him alive. He decided on his next four quirks and told ROB, "For my second quirk, I would like the endurance quirk of Gigantomachia. For my third quirk, I would like the clone quirk of Ectoplasm. For my fourth quirk, I request the half-hot, half-cold quirk of Shoto Todoroki. And for my final starting quirk, I would like Whirlwind of Inasa Yoarashi."

Jason waited for ROB's response to his request so he could begin his journey. He knew that he had a lot to learn and a long way to go to achieve his goal, but he was ready to face any challenge that came his way.

ROB asked Jason a question about his choice of quirk and why he had selected "clone" instead of "double".

Jason explained that while "double" was a stronger quirk with its ability to make him a one-man army, the risk of an autonomous clone was too great in a world where anything was possible. He did not want to risk fighting against a malevolent doppelganger of himself, so the hive mind connection of the "clone" quirk was a better choice.

ROB was satisfied with Jason's response and proceeded to remove his memories of Naruto before infusing his soul with energy from his own dimension. This energy allowed Jason to activate all his quirks while removing any complex thought processes that might interfere with their basic instincts.

Once the process was complete, ROB opened a portal and threw Jason's soul into the Shinobi World, specifically the Land of Fire. Jason felt a burning sensation as he lost consciousness, hearing ROB's parting words: "I can't wait to see how you entertain me. Try not to die too quickly."

As he faded to black, Jason wondered what ROB meant by that final comment.
