6 The Test! Part-2

{Next Morning}

"...Alright when your name is called I want you to come forward and perform as many of the basic three jutsus as you can..." Haru, an older chunin spoke.

Hikaru had already gone through a simple written test before this, it was quite easy and only contained basic things. The academy was clearly focused on more practical tasks. He looked around and surveyed the crowd.

[Katsuo Uchiha Lv- 9]

All of the people present in their batch were from the shinobi clans, Haru started calling people alphabetically, "Ackimichi Toru!"

The test continued as one by one everyone came forward to perform the basic 3, and everyone present in the room swiftly performed all of the E grade jutsus. Though the degree of proficiency everyone showed varied, since everyone was from shinobi clans at least they knew how to perform the basic 3 ninjutsu.

'Though it shouldn't be enough to graduate in times of war...'

"...how many of you can perform a C-Rank Ninjutsu or Genjutus," Haru asked after everyone was done. Almost everyone replied positively to his next question except a few younger kids from the Hyuga and the Kurama clan.

"...Alright, based on the degree of proficiency you guys have shown I will now divide you into 3 classes. The first class would graduate in 2 months, so if anyone has any problems graduating so soon, please speak now." Haru asked. His question was followed by a short silence, he looked at everyone and then nodded.

"Good, Hiashi Hyuga and Hikaru Uchiha, both of you need to report to classroom #401 after this, the rest of you report to classroom #301," Haru spoke and then dismissed them.

'Huh, that test was a lot easier than I thought,' Hikaru thought as he walked toward the 3 other Uchiha's present for the evaluation.

"I'm sure you already know what I need to say?" Hikaru asked, he got three hurried nods, "Alright, find me if something happens..." Hikaru spoke as he walked away from their hurdle and walked out of the classroom they were in.

He sensed someone walking behind him and a quick glance later he realized that it was the older Hyuga.

'He looks like he's around 12-13 years old, maybe because he belongs to the main branch he never participated in the academy... no that's not true, both Hinata and Hanabi went to the academy...right?'

"Hyuga-san," Hikaru spoke lazily, he wasn't that into the clan rivalry so he turned back forward and began walking away toward their new classroom.

"Uchiha-san," Hiashi replied, he was a little startled at the apathetic greeting. The two of them quickly arrived at their designated classroom. Hikaru opened the door and looked in curiously as the chunin responsible for the class motioned for him to come in.

"Alright everyone, earlier today I told you that some new members will be joining us for the last month, remember to treat the-" Hideki spoke as he addressed the class.

Hikaru observed the class and read through the unfamiliar names hanging over everyone's heads, he froze though when he saw two names that he wasn't sure belonged to this era.

[Kushina Uzumaki Lv - 19]

[Mikoto Uchiha Lv - 21]

'Wait weren't Minato and Fugaku rivals, so why is there so much of an age gap between them...' Hikaru thought as he walked in front of the class and introduced himself briefly.

"Hello, my name is Hikaru Uchiha, I'm 7 years old, hope we get along well!" He bowed slightly before he walked a couple of steps back and Hiashi did an almost similar greeting.

"Take seats Hikaru, Hiashi... alright now, from today we will begin the revision period, I'm sure you guys have given you all to master your jutsus so today we'll work on Ninjutsu," Hideki instructed as Hikaru and Hiashi walked through the class looking for a place to sit.

Hikaru didn't want to get too close to Kushina but Mikoto was sitting next to her, so he slowly walked towards them and nodded to Mikoto as a greeting, "Mikoto-san."

"Hikaru-san," Mikoto replied back, while she was a member of the main branch, Hikaru was a genius recognized by the clan so both of them had similar social standing within the class. Hikaru sat beside Mikoto and he could sense Kushina looking at him with a curious expression.

"Alright we'll begin with Substitution jutsu, now one by one starting from this row," Hideki pointed towards the leftmost row, "you will substitute yourself with the log here and then back. If the log. See this circle the log is in, you need to make sure you substitute within it to pass the exam..."

'Boring,' Hikaru complained as he leaned down and put his head down, when it was his turn he'd do the jutsu and be done with it. Being part of the Uchiha clan had several privileges and one of them was that no random chunin would ever dare to criticize him even if he slept through the class.

Hikaru's bored expression and actions drew several eyebrows but no one said anything, so he hid his hand beneath the desk and started controlling his chakra to spin within his hand.

'Shape manipulation is really hard, I wonder how Minato was able to create the Rasengan without prior instructions.' Hikaru thought he hadn't really given his all to mastering the Rasengan but instead, he was using it to train his shape manipulation.

'I don't have enough chakra to spam Rasengan as Naruto did anyway, I need to do something about it...' Hikaru thought as he looked at Minato who was listening to the class with utmost concentration.

He then looked at Kushina who looked as bored as he was, their eyes collided and she looked away, a shy expression on her face.

'Hmmm, maybe I could replicate what happened with Sora, he had the Nine-Tails chakra sealed in him and over time he was able to even enter chakra cloak mode...' Hikaru thought, a skeleton of a plan began emerging in his mind as he looked back at Hideki and the class perform the substitution jutsu.

'I need to start with sealing...'
