Graduation!

{1 Month Later}

"...Pass" Hideki spoke as he gave Hikaru a smile as he extended one of the headbands from a table full of them to him. Hikaru nodded and took the offered piece of headgear, he walked back and he looked down on his new identity.

'A Konoha Genin huh, with war on the horizon and the Uchiha flag on my back. The price of my head would be sky high right?' Hikaru thought as he walked back and sat down next to Mikoto. It was not like it was anything special, because of the last months' training and forced repeated grinding almost all of the students managed to learn the basic three.

Slowly one by one everyone in the class was sprouting shiny new headbands, Hideki looked at the bright smile on everyone's faces and sighed. 

'I guess they are the luckiest of the bunch, if war really starts later at least they would get some training under their belt.' Hideki thought.

"Alright Listen up, normally you would be assigned to three-man teams where your sensei chooses you to form an optimal team that he can teach, but due to exigent circumstances, Konoha can't spare a lot of manpower right now. A mentor would be assigned to 2 teams combined and his job would be to make sure you can do basic C-Rank missions as a team." Hideki explained.

Hikaru frowned as he heard all the explanations, this didn't make sense though, there hadn't been any mention of anything like this happening in the original story.

"Now I'm gonna name teams in order, remember 1st team will be paired with the second team and they will share a mentor with the 2nd team. This would continue until a Jonin specifically takes either a member or the whole team under his command." Hideki explained before he picked up his clipboard and began speaking.

"Team 1, Kame Hatake, Noboru Inuzuka, and Tetsuo Hyuga... Team 2, Hikaru Uchiha, Minato Namikaze, and Haishi Hyuga. Your mentor is Koji Uyeno..." Hideki began.

'Right off the bat,' Hikaru stood up in interest as he looked sideways at Minato, the blond had a surprised expression as well as his quickly shifted to meet Hikaru's. Hikaru nodded to which the blond reciprocated, 'At least it isn't someone incompetent.'

The distribution followed and to Hikaru's surprise, Kushina and Mikoto were slotted into the same team. That didn't make sense, if Konoha was against the Uchiha clan, they shouldn't have made such a low-level mistake of giving the clan direct access to the Kyuubi Jinchuriki.

'Though is she the Kyuubi's Jinchuriki already, my sensor capabilities are too weak to tell...' Hikaru thought, he needed to rectify this situation, he had let it go long enough but his senses did give him a slight edge in battles.

Ever since the very first day, he had been able to weakly sense everyone's presence around him. Though it was very weak, kind of like slow prodding. He could tell someone was there 10m around him, further than that he had no idea.

"...Hirano Shiori. That's all, your assigned mentors will now come and pick you up one by one, everything from this point onwards will be explained to you by your mentors..." Hideki paused as he took a deep breath, he looked at the class one last time with emotions and spoke, "Best of Luck out there, see you soon!" 

Almost everyone in the class stood up and bowed, Hikaru had to hurry slightly as he didn't know anything like this was about to happen. He bowed lightly, he wasn't that emotional even though he had been in this world for 2 years now he had very few true emotional connections.

Hideki coughed a couple of times and then walked out of the room without saying anything, shortly after a lean middle-aged shinobi walked into the classroom. He didn't walk too deep into the room, after walking a couple of steps he scanned the classroom in a quick second and then spoke, "Team 1 and 2, follow me."

Hikaru stared at the blue-colored name hovering over his head as he stood up, he had seen higher-level shinobi but he was guessing Level 57 was strong enough considering most Jonins hovered around Level 60.

He walked out of the room and 5 more genins followed along, Koji was waiting for them outside the room and another Jonin walked into the room after they came out.

"Keep up," Koji spoke as he walked to the nearest window and jumped, Hikaru shared a glance with Minato and then he dashed to the window as well. The rest of the way was a blur as Koji constantly sped up challenging the limits of the genin's speed.

Hikaru didn't have a problem following him but he still kept a distance, after a short while they arrived at the training grounds. Konoha's training grounds are spread around the village, they provide the first defense and a necessary place to battle in case Konoha ever got invaded.

Most of the training grounds are occupied by Shinobi and only the first 10 training grounds were reserved for newly graduating classes. The 7 of them arrived at training ground 2, Hikaru looked around and scanned the area with his Sharingan for any chakra presences that he could see and Haishi did the same with his Byakugan.

"Good at least I won't have to teach most of you basic awareness..." Koji replied as he nodded in approval, he then turned to the other Hyuga and explained, "Whenever you enter an unfamiliar environment, the first thing you have to do is check for traps and check if you can detect any sense of presence. If you could then your response depends on the type of mission you are on."

"Now what would the only situations be where you shouldn't do what Hikaru and Haishi just now did," Koji asked.

Hikaru wasn't ever a teacher's pet so he wasn't interested in answering questions, among all of them Minato was the only one who wasn't from a shinobi clan, Hikaru could see the indifference all of his team members had for Minato as he spoke, "During stealth missions any use of chakra should be done after careful considerations. Also during Diplomatic missions, flashing your bloodlines could be attributed as an attempt to spy on secrets."
