'What's happening... where... who??' His thoughts were muddled as he floated in an endless void, the last thing he remembered was sleeping in his bed getting ready for another day at his tiresome job.
'Is this a dream?' He thought as he tried to look around, he felt weightless as he wriggled in place, his body was in his control but there was something missing as he tried to look around.
A blue screen, slightly translucent like the one shown in futuristic sci-fi movies, appeared in front of him which caused him to float back in surprise. The screen followed him though, it was in his vision constantly so he subconsciously read through the words written on it.

'What new life, I didn't die did I?' As worry seeped into his thoughts he waited for any response, the world around him was silent. The endless void was unforgiving and after dreading the outcome and staring at the screen in front of him, he lifted his hands and pressed the 'Yes' button.
'In the end, the choice between my continued survival and nonexistence isn't actually a choice is it...'
The screen blinked out of existence and a new one appeared in its place, the words though were a bit confusing to him for a second before it finally clicked.

'This is from Naruto...' he stared at the words carefully, he hesitated more as he read through all of the names, he had yet to properly digest the fact that he was dead, but now he is faced with this absurd choice.
'I don't remember all of Naruto and the fillers but all of these are strong characters...' he thought as he looked at the options once again.
'49 years since Konoha's establishment, what time period is that... I remember that the difference between the 1st and the 2nd shinobi world war was around 20 years, is this in the canon timeline or before that, if it is canon I don't know what selecting Itachi Uchiha would do...' He thought as he kept mulling over the options.
'Minato would be the safest choice, he was talented even before he became godlike with the Hiraishin, but the allure of the Sharingan is a little too much to pass up... though I might not even get reincarnated into the Uchiha clan, these are all talent templates after all...' He thought, time looked like it didn't matter much so he took his time in carefully going over his choices.
'It's between the 1st and the 2nd choice anyway, and since the world of Naruto is filled with danger it's better to select a little more risky option...'
He stopped hesitating and clicked on 'Itachi Uchiha'. Itachi was mentioned as one of the prodigies in the Naruto world, maybe he didn't reach his full potential because of his disease so he was a little excited to see for himself how strong he could become.

Daisuke stared at the young boy lying on the bed, he looked okay except for the bandage wrapped around his head. He looked too young to be lying around in the hospital after suffering an attack.
'What could even cause someone to target a little kid...' Daisuke thought.
"Did you find any traces or clues," He asked his son since he had taken over the duties of being a clan head his son, Fugaku, had been responsible for running the Konoha Police department.
"No, Father... whoever it was left no traces behind..." Fugaku spoke, he sighed as he looked at the sleeping child on the bed.
Hikaru woke up... his head was pulsating with pain as his ears kept ringing.
"Ugh!" Hikaru groaned as he slowly opened his eyes, everything was bright, too bright but so clear. Hikaru could clearly make out the wrinkles on the frowning faces in front of him. Though his vision instantly flicked up to the names hovering over their heads.

"Hikaru-kun, are you okay?" Daisuke asked as he stepped forward towards Hikaru. Hikaru looked at the old man in front of him, he was still digesting the new memories that were now present in his mind.
'I gained no personal memories, just some basics on Uchiha Interceptor Fist and how to perform the Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu...' Hikaru thought. He turned to look at the young Fugaku who was frowning at him.
'He looks too young to be the father of a child, so at least Itachi shouldn't be born yet, that means there is still time before the massacre...'
"Daisuke-san..." Hikaru greeted, he saw Fugaku's frown deepen and he realized he had addressed the man with the wrong honorific, "Everything seems so familiar but I can't seem to piece together your name..." Hikaru addressed Fugaku, "I'm sorry if I said something wrong."
"No, you didn't... Fugaku leave us and send Aoi-san in here." Daisuke immediately ordered, Hikaru didn't want to use his memories as an excuse but he was pretty sure that he wouldn't be able to fool these two without at least trying.
'Now comes the hard part... how do I get out of this situation!'

AN- A new story! Things to watch out for, the gamer system is a lot more nerfed in this story, it is purely focused on Hikaru's journey through the Naruto world, with a few perks that the gamer system would provide. The most important one is the ability to break through jutsu and skills potential.
