26 26 Virus

Under the dark sky, in the huge dense forest the squad of three people who had just rescued a few people, seemed in a predicament.

"Ha...what is happening...our skin...?"

Both shinku and sayuri were on there knees, panting gasping for breath, sweat rolling down the brows as with difficulty the latter questioned, her weak eyes on the micro green marks on the skin.

Shinku had the same question as sayuri on his face, they were just fine what had happened suddenly, why did these green marks appeared suddenly?

Naoki who still showed no sign of tiredness, with a burst quickly appeared before both shinku and sayuri.

His eyes looked at the very small hardly visible green marks on there skin, then on his own and finally at all the people they had rescued.

Then suddenly thinking of something, Naoki took out a kunai in the weak eyes of both sayuri and shinku, making a small cut on his right arm.

Blood poured out of his arm as visible to naked eyes green particles mixed in the red blood.

Seeing the green particles Naoki seemed to have kinda understood what was happening, still he gestured the kunai at the weak shinku and sayuri, both of them understanding immediately what he wanted to do.

Puff!!

Carefully avoiding the veins, Naoki made a small cut on the right arm of shinku and sayuri, as expected blood mixed with green particles pouring out.

"It's an abnormally strong virus, to the point it's visible to naked eye, looks like we got played really hard"

Said Naoki with a straight face, now understanding why they were able to rescue the hostages so easily from the cave, this was all a carefully thought plan to defeat them without a hard fight.

"Can...can you deal with it...?"

Hearing his analysis both of them were shocked but saving there life seemed more important, Sayuri with some hope in her tone asking while looking at Naoki with red eyes.

Shinku was no different, genius or not they were just eight not some shinobi who had experienced countless such situations, dying scaring them a lot.

"Like every other virus, it's attacking the immune system and destroying the cells, and the rate at it's doing is abnormally fast!"

"Only after properly examining the virus, it is possible to create a vaccine against this virus and this process takes weeks at the minimum!"

"At the rate this virus is destroying the immune system, we won't last a whole day... unless we find the person who created this virus and get the probably already made cure from him...

At the hopeful voice of Sayuri, Naoki was in a trance for a moment thinking of using the other method, but quickly rejected it...it was too risky with danzo's presence in the same forest.

Unless he was really driven to a corner with no other choice till the last second, he won't take the risk.

"Well~Well~ I wasn't expecting anyone to be still able to stand and be so cool-headed!"

But at this moment, from the surrounding the sound of clapping was heard followed by a heartful praise, a figure walking out of the dark, appearing before Naoki completely.

The moonlight through the gap between the leaves of the trees, reflected on the headband with a horizontal line on it, the shinobi with tan skin looking at Naoki with an amused look.

"Stone's rogue shinobi...so you are the mastermind behind all this!"

Said Naoki in a deep voice after being silent for a while, having connected most of the dots in his mind, coming on the said conclusion.

"Hahaha, sadly knowing this not gonna help at all now as the time for my efforts to be paid off is here, a head of a leaf jonin is gonna be worth some fortune in black market!"

Said the stone rouge shinobi while laughing, he had put so much thought and effort into this, just to lure out a leaf jonin and make a fortune.

"I see...then I guess we have nothing more to talk about!"

"Both of you hold on for a little more, he most likely has the antidote!"

Ha!!

Saying that, Naoki walked forward and stopped at around ten steps from the stone shinobi, squatting a little while taking a deep breath, ready for the fight.

Seeing Naoki putting a fighting pose, the stone shinobi narrowed his eyes a little, truly surprised at the ability of Naoki to move normally despite having green marks all over his body.

The fight was about to begin, the air going calm as well, the focus of both of them on each other but at this moment an anamolly occurred as a figure at some speed appeared behind Naoki.

The dagger in the hands of the figure with a burn mark on his forehead slammed towards the back neck of Naoki, Sayuri and Shinku who were on the ground watching exhausting there lungs shouting.
