All four including Danzo had a huge change of expression, no one expected such a twist.

"What do you mean you helped them?"

Confusion was written all over everyone's face as Danzo who had been quiet all the time finally spoke, asking.

"Yes, It was me who provided them with weapons and helped them escape, naturally not because I wanted to, I did it without myself noticing"

"Someone who I have no idea about controlled me, only with mind and my son's permission is the bridge allowed to lower"

"When I came back to senses my son was taken away already, through the vague memories and investigation, I concluded...

"I concluded it was me!"

"It was me.... who harmed his own town and his own son"

"It was me....

Completing his words, the old man couldn't help but tear up again, guilt written all over his old face, with his own hands he had sent his son to the enemy and had killed so many in the town.

"Don't be sad old man, it was not your fault!"

Seeing him in such a state, Sayuri couldn't help herself and tried to cheer him up.

"Whoever is behind this...

Shinku's red ringed eyes turned cold as touching the hilt of his sword, he muttered in a dangerous tone.

"Thanks little girl, I'm fine!"

The words of Sayuri seemed to have helped the old man a little, as he forcefully stopped his tears and raised his head, giving Sayuri a dotting look.

"Such a bizarre thing happened to me, naturally my first suspicion was some ninja had controlled me using his power"

"Knowing a Ninja was probably involved in this, I knew it was not something that could be handled by me, so I issued a mission which was a lot cheaper to do so then the ransom"

Told the old man, finally telling them every single detail of the mission.

"I see, so did they tell you any location where to bring the ransom amount?"

Asked Danzo after having heard everything, now it was there turn to take action and locate the task target.

"No, we were told to put the amount on this scroll after opening it"

Said the old man as he took out a scroll from his robe and stretched it towards them.

Danzo gave Naoki next to him a look who nodding back at him took the scroll from the old man and quickly removed the strings around it.

After unsealing it, Naoki put it on the table before them and spread it, a long paper with numerous black markings on it.

"It's a reverse summoning scroll, though it can only be used for non-living objects"

Danzo gave the markings a look and recognised them immediately, understanding the role of this scroll.

"Sensei, how will we locate the enemy, this scroll is useless!"

Naoki who heard that this scroll could only be used for non-living objects understood it was of no use to locate the enemy.

"It's time to use ninja dogs!!"

Click!

Said Danzo to his question, and bit his thumb next moment, patting the ground next seconds, white smoke erupting in the astonished eyes of old man.

Soon the smoke disappeared and a dog with appearance similar to a dobermann in Naoki's previous life appeared, a collar with leaf mark around his neck.

"Bring something of your son, like clothes or something similar"

Said Danzo to the astonished old man.

"Ah, give me a minute!"

The old man stood up and rushed outside the tent, leaving the four in the tent.

"Will this be enough?"

Soon the old man came back and asked pointing at the huge bundle of clothes carried by a guard behind him.

....

A speechless look appeared on everyone's face, he brought a whole long vacation clothes with him.

"It's plenty!"

But shaking his head, Danzo broke the silence and signalled Sayuri to bring it here.

Taking out a piece of clothe, Sayuri brought it before the ninja dog who sniffed it immediately.

After a moment or so, the ninja dog raised his head and walked out of the tent, his head facing a certain direction.

But they didn't leave immediately as Danzo first did a thorough check up of the old man, making sure the old man was still not under any illusion.

"We'll be taking you along with us, your safety as a client is as important as the mission target"

"Leaving you alone here when we know nothing about the ninja who put you under illusion, it's dangerous!"

Said Danzo to the old man in a serious tone, as a client his safety was of utmost importance, they couldn't slack off

The old man understood the worry of Danzo as he quickly agreed to go with them.

"Yosh! Let's go!"

"You're strong, child!"

Danzo gave Naoki a look who immediately put the old man on his small back, carrying him like he didn't weigh at all, surprising the old man.

Next they walked out of the tent ready to start the rescue mission.

"Thup!!"

"Lead the way!!"

Woof!!!

Said Danzo tapping the dog on his head, the dog barking in response and rushing towards the entrance of the village at high speed.

Thup!! Thup!!

Danzo and other three sped up as well, quick footsteps ringing, soon jumping from one building to another, leaving the town quietly under the dark sky.
