Baby talk
Sota's excitement was quickly turned down when he reached the other room. It was just a big room for the kids to play in. He thought for second on what he was even expecting these kids to do all day. The two women who joined the group were just normal child carers. Not like the nurses, who were Genin with basic Medical-Ninjutsu training, conducted Sota after listening to their talks.
They were doing normal stuff with the children, but with the ninja twist. Instead of normal dolls, famous summons of their contractor from the Land of Water. Instead of children's songs and lullabies, songs about the heroic deeds of the Mizukages and other ninja of the Land of Water. Instead of normal toys, there were swords, kunais and shurikens made out of wood and painted in all different colours. The childrens colour book had pictures of ninjas doing jutsu and other fighting. They even had a full depiction of somebody getting killed because they were from a different nation in there. After spending a couple of days there Sota couldn't help but laugh inwardly.
(Sota thoughts): "Wow, they start with the propaganda really early here, it is no wonder that this country was described as literally being the worst of the elemental nations. It's not completely useless for me, because some truth is in here. For example they don't go over the top with the Jutsus description, compared to the knowledge of mine from Naruto. The fights' descriptions seem even roughly similar towards the fights in Naruto, just with the over the top glory for the Shinobis of the Land of Water.
The history on the other side I have no idea if it's true, but what is surprising me is that the Second Mizukage is still around but in retirement. That means the Land of Water is actually pretty strong because the Third Mizukage is in his prime and with another retired Kage nobody even can compare to them. If I remember correctly the Second should they in the next war against another Kage. They even have Jinchuuriki(I can't type the u with the - on top of it so I just type two u) for the Three and Six Tails. The Jinchuuriki of the Three Tails is even in complete control and is celebrated as a hero. So not all Jinchuuriki are having rough lives."

The next few months flow by. After every child was able to walk around the two nurses left the group and Sota never saw them again. Gradually some of the kids started to talk. Not like actual talking but some words. As soon as the first one started the caretakers pushed him to speak more. After 4 of them spoke some words Sota decides it was time for him to learn it. To his surprise it was not as easy as opening his mouth and then starting talking. It took him until his 1 birthday to actually say some words. He was even more surprised that after he forced himself to speak a couple of words, his throat started to hurt.
After getting a hang of his speaking again he tried to get the child carers to give him more kid books.
(Sota Talking): "Can I get more this?"
He points at the books and looks with puppy eyes at the woman.
(Child-Carer Women): "But over there are more"
She points at the small bookshelf.
(Sota Talking): "I know all them!"
He turned the puppy eyes up another level.
(Child-Carer Women): "Really, then I am going to bring more tomorrow"
(Sota thoughts): "First mission success. Also the Puppy-Eyes-Jutsu is extremely effective. Talking in kid language is hard for me. I have to force myself so hard not to speak full sentences. But I don't wanna know what they would do if a 15 months old kid would start speaking in perfect sentences. I have to at least wait until I reach 3 before I start speaking normally."

And so it was already time for his 3 birthday. He knew that it's going to be something special because of all of his other roommates. When one of them reached 3 they would get moved to a new place. It became really stuffed in here, so when the first got moved out here it was actually really nice. But only Sota thought like that, because the other children all cried when the First left. He became a little bit of a loner, which was not that surprising because of his real mental age. There was just no real connection between him and the others, other than that they stayed in the same room. So it was now his time to leave. The men who led the others away, appeared before him and told him to follow. Sota walked through the hallway and was for the first time further away from the two rooms, where he stayed since his birth, then ever.
