Naruto finally left Kimimaro's house and leaped into the sky, rising hundreds of meters before turning into light and disappearing while Tsunade still sat in silence among the unconscious, thinking about everything that had happened to her.
As the sun began to set on the horizon, Naruto appeared above Konoha, finally landing at his home with his family already inside, then realizing he couldn't just walk in through the door. He took the bone he had kept when he showed his blood to Kimimaro and threw it near the house where the ANBU was located, quickly causing the man to glance at the object stuck in the tree and look for who had thrown it. Naruto took advantage of the moment the man looked at the bone to quickly enter his room.
This left the man alarmed and agitated, circling the Hokage's house in search of the person who had thrown that strange bone and knowing he would have to report immediately to the Hokage.
As soon as Naruto sighed a bit and changed clothes after the fight with Tsunade, he heard his mother calling him a moment later.
"Naruto!" She called, and Naruto left his room since it was time for them to have dinner.
Upon arriving in the kitchen, he found his family gathered, getting ready to eat. Kushina approached, wrapping Naruto in a maternal hug. Minato watched with a calm smile, that is until he heard the door slam.
"The ANBU?" Mizu commented on the side, sensing the presence of the man watching the house.
The ANBU came to inform the Hokage about the bone, which he took and examined with narrowed eyes, while Naruto tried to ignore it as if it had nothing to do with him.
"You did something, didn't you?" His mother had already pulled him out of her hug, but that didn't stop Sora from approaching him suspiciously, since Naruto had a certain expression when he did something, and Sora knew him very well.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Naruto murmured, whistling.
"Of course, you do, you always act this way," she said, crossing her arms.
"Sora, come eat and leave your brother alone, you too, Mizu," Kushina said at that moment.
"But mom, I want to know what Naruto has been up to!" Sora protested.
"Naruto has been home all day, what could he possibly have done?" Mizu commented on the side.
'Just found a drunken, indebted, and abandoned ninja, healed her from a trauma, and...' Naruto finally realized something as he approached the table, he still had the woman's necklace, so he should return it tomorrow.
Naruto shrugged off his sister's suspicious look and sat at the table, "How was your day, son?" Kushina asked.
"Quiet, I read some things, saw in a book that Tsunade is addicted to gambling and alcohol, mom," Naruto commented while his sisters looked on curiously, Kushina spat out the first spoonful of soup she had prepared.
"Where did you read that?!" She asked a bit alarmed, that wasn't what her son was supposed to read.
"I saw it in a ninja's diary who was on a mission and found her in a gambling house," Naruto lied.
His father returned soon after with a somewhat tense look, worried about the strange things happening in his life in recent years and how they have no answers, not imagining that the author was still eating at his table every day.
The conversation that night followed as usual as the family tends to have, Naruto's sisters shared their activities at the academy, while asking their father how his day as Hokage went.
"How was your day, mom?" Naruto asked Kushina, seeing her being left out.
"At least my son wants to know about me, Dattebane," she said murmuring but smiled shortly after sharing a bit about her day in the seals division.
As soon as dinner ended, Naruto went up to his room, taking the necklace out of his pants pocket and looking at it curiously, after all, Tsunade seemed quite eager to get it back.
"It's really beautiful and must be worth a lot of money..." Naruto thought before storing it away again and going to rest.
The next day, after his family had left the house, Naruto left his home and flew to the south of the country again. Landing after a while in front of Kimimaro's house, upon arrival, Naruto found the house unchanged after almost having destroyed it the day before. However, a while later, he was greeted by Tsunade coming outside.
"You finally arrived," she said.
"She doesn't seem to hate me like yesterday, at least," Naruto murmured.
"Yes, I believe you have an answer..." Naruto said.
Tsunade nodded with a neutral expression. "Yes, let's go inside," she suggested, and Naruto followed her.
Inside, Naruto found Kimimaro, still lying in bed, seemingly kept there by Tsunade. "Naruto!" he greeted, while Shizune sat in a corner on a bone chair, looking at Naruto with a conflicted expression. There was fear in her eyes, but Naruto ignored it and greeted his friend.
Naruto then turned his attention back to Tsunade, who stood in front of the bed, crossing her arms.
"I can heal him, you really cured me of my phobia. I did some tests and realized I'm no longer afraid of blood," she admitted with a stern tone. "But believe me, I'm not grateful for what you put me through yesterday, and I swear to you when I say I feel like hitting you so hard your mother wouldn't recognize you, but now that I can do something for the patient, I will help him," she began and looked at Naruto. "I'll perform the surgery, but I don't have the necessary materials for it, you'll have to get everything for me, after all, as you know, I'm broke," she mocked at the end, and Naruto nodded.
"Okay, I'll get the money, just make a list of what you need, and I'll take care of the rest," Naruto informed.
"That's good, I'll mark everything I need," she said, taking one of the scrolls Naruto had brought for Kimimaro and began marking.
She quickly filled it out and handed it to Naruto. "I'd also like you to return my necklace in advance," she said, and Naruto handed the necklace to her.
After that, he went outside and flew into the sky. "Tsunade-sama..." Shizune said for the first time.
"Silence, Shizune... Since I can do this, then I will do it now," Tsunade commented while looking at Kimimaro. She thought over the night whether she should help him or not. But now that she can, she will, understanding Naruto and his actions, after all, she would have done anything to help the people she loved to live.
Naruto quickly traveled to the north, passing the Konoha line, until he finally reached the capital, seeing a newly built wall, he kicked it.
"WHAAAT??!!" The loan shark was startled by the explosion in the wall and quickly saw a blond child without a mask emerging from it, but he had no doubts it was that boy from yesterday.
"What are you doing?!! Use the window and don't break my establishment anymore!" he cried over it.
"I need money," Naruto declared, leaving him stunned.
"Money."
"Yes, I need a lot. I'll pay later," Naruto said.
The man swallowed hard, seeing that this powerful boy needed money, who could stop him if he didn't pay.
"I..."
"Give me the money you have there," Naruto said.
"Okay!" The man trembled and immediately began to hand over a suitcase of money to Naruto.
"Don't worry, I'll pay back with interest later, goodbye," he said, and disappeared breaking another part of the wall.
"I'm going to break my walls too!" the man shouted indignantly, but unable to do anything else.
Naruto quickly began purchasing all kinds of medical equipment, such as gauzes, knives, cloth, scissors, and medical instruments.
There was still a lot of money left from that suitcase, but he didn't bother returning it and disappeared into thin air, reappearing in the south after a while.
"Here." He brought a large bag with everything and threw it in the middle of the room.
"You got this very fast..." Tsunade murmured, since it only took him a few hours and the items weren't exactly cheap either. "You didn't steal them, did you?".
"No." Naruto shrugged and let Tsunade start to organize everything.
Tsunade began to give a brief overview of Kimimaro's condition. "This surgery is going to be a long and demanding process," she explained, "So I won't leave here before dawn tomorrow. And there's still a 20% chance of him dying, are you aware of that?" She emphasized, and Naruto looked at Kimimaro, who nodded.
"Alright, do what you can," Naruto said in the end, since the chance is not small, but not huge with the success of the surgery either.
Shizune began to help Tsunade, and it was only in the late afternoon that they started to get everything ready. "Let's start, you can come back tomorrow, after all, I don't want anyone disturbing me," Tsunade said as she put on her glove and mask, while Shizune would assist her on the side with her medical equipment.
"Okay, I'm going. And you, take care," Naruto said, looking at Kimimaro for the last time before starting to leave the place. Tsunade, seeing Naruto leaving, began the treatment by sedating the boy.
"I might hate your friend for what he did to me, but I'm certainly not going to let you die..." Tsunade murmured as she began to cut the boy's chest with a surgical blade.
'This night will be long...' she murmured.
