15 Chapter 15 - Danzou/Sister.

Third Person POV

Konoha.

In the Land of Fire, near Konoha, a chase was underway at this moment. Danzou, breathing heavily, was running through the dense forests with a group of his men who were still alive by his side, trying to escape their pursuers. The men following Danzou and his group were specialized ANBU ninjas of the Hokage. Danzou could have tried to deal with them, but he used his Mangekyō Sharingan to escape from Minato after losing the 6 Sharingans he had accumulated over the years. He ended up losing Shisui's eye to get rid of Minuto and apply a ninjutsu from that eye that stabilized him and allowed him to escape, but he ended up losing the eye when Minato managed to crush it before he could escape the yellow flash.

Another thing was that Danzou was without his two arms, one that he had to tear off in the loss of the 6 eyes, and another that he cut off because it bore the mark of Raijin. In this state, he could not deal with them, let alone the more imminent threat here, which was Jiraiya leading the squad.

"How did this go so wrong..." He murmured softly, but he no longer had time to lament his actions, not even Hiruzen could help him now.

"

Jiraiya, you don't understand. Everything I did, I did for the village!" Danzou shouted, as he continued to leap between the trees.

Jiraiya lifted his eyebrows, wondering if this old man would now try to justify himself when he is so cornered. "There is no justification for your actions, Danzou. You committed treason against the village and its inhabitants." Jiraiya responded, trying to catch up with him.

"You will regret this! Delay them!" Danzou shouted to a group of 10 root ambus, and they nodded before heading towards their pursuers, sacrificing themselves for their master.

The fight between the two groups began, and this gave Danzou an advantage, but not for long. As he was near the border, a giant shadow covered the sun and with an explosion, a giant frog lands in front of Danzou, blocking his path. Jiraiya had summoned a frog that had a spear and a shield to be faster and prevent the traitor from leaving the country.

"Will I end here?!" Danzou snarled for a moment, he could not deal with Jiraiya in his state, however, something happened.

BOOOOOOM!

"Gamaken, be careful!" Jiraiya shouted to his summoning when giant snakes appeared with a summoning explosion. Using his dish as a shield, Gamaken managed to defend against the snakes' attack.

"You..." Jiraiya looked dazed at the snake and a man on top of it. "Orochimaru! You showed up here and are protecting Danzou?!" Jiraiya could not help but exclaim, stunned.

"It's been a while, Jiraiya." Orochimaru commented, he was wearing the Akatsuki's clothes at that moment, but Jiraiya could never have imagined that they represented the organization he had been investigating some time ago.

"So, Danzou was in contact with you, why am I still surprised with someone as dirty as you, Danzou!" Jiraiya snarled.

"I can't let you capture my Konoha contact, since we have some partnership." Orochimaru said with a smile.

This gave time for Danzou to move. Jiraiya tried to attack, but Orochimaru prevented him. Jiraiya snarled and had to engage in a fight against Orochimaru, Danzou finally had passed by them.

Danzou, before going to the meeting trying to execute his plan to take the village under his control, had sent a ninja to make contact at one of Orochimaru's bases to have a plan B for escaping.

"You really fell into a quite bad situation, Danzou," Orochimaru said with a cold smile, his tongue slipping out for a moment in a threatening gesture as he stopped Jiraiya's attack.

Danzou couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope with Orochimaru's arrival. "Orochimaru, I need your help to escape. I promise there will be something valuable in exchange," he said, trying to negotiate his freedom.

Orochimaru pondered for a moment, clearly amused by the situation. "Very well, but remember, Danzou, everything has its price, I expect you to bring scrolls on the root's research." he responded, before turning to face Jiraiya and the others who were arriving.

The ensuing battle was chaotic. Orochimaru continued to be a perfect distraction, allowing Danzou to try to escape once more while moving away. Jiraiya, recognizing the danger Orochimaru represented, focused his attention on the former companion, while instructing the ambus to continue the pursuit of Danzou.

Orochimaru and Jiraiya exchanged powerful blows with their summons, devastating the entire forest, neither of them showing an advantage in the fight, but to Jiraiya's frustration, Orochimaru was there only to distract him. 

While Danzou jumped armless, the Konoha ninjas went after him, but Orochimaru would not see without his pawns from the Sound Village, they tried to stop the ambush, and Danzou finally managed to cross the country's border. 

"It seems my distraction worked. Fufufu." Orochimaru laughed as he vanished in front of a frustrated Jiraiya. 

The escape of Danzou left a bitter taste in the mouths of all those involved in the pursuit. "Let's not invade another country without the feudal lord's permission." The Sannin commented, and they returned to the village with the mission failed. 

Meanwhile, Minato, still greatly affected by Danzou's last attack, was unable to use the Raijin, having to stay in the village, and together with his wife, they were busy dealing with the consequences of Danzou's escape attempt, specifically, the problem caused by the summoning of a massive creature that Danzou had left behind in his desperate attempt to escape. The creature, described as a kind of giant elephant or armadillo, had been summoned in the heart of the village, causing panic and destruction until they finally managed to subdue it.

At the Namikazes' house, Naruto was immersed in his reading, but the tranquility was interrupted by the sudden arrival of Sora. She entered the room with a mischievous air, clearly intending to tease her brother. 

"Ah, so the great hero of Konoha is a scholar?" Sora began teasingly, with a mocking smile on her lips. "You live reading so much of these books I'm afraid you'd come out as a fuuinjutsu star if you had chakra." She commented, knowing her brother wouldn't be offended by that, Naruto just didn't like it when people treated him like a poor thing or glass that could break at any moment. 

Naruto, initially annoyed by the interruption, looked at his sister with an expression of mild irritation that quickly turned into amused resignation, already knowing her personality. "I'm reading about things we can find outside the village, did you know we can even find pirates at sea, I just don't understand why they didn't make a naval force to protect people from that group..." 

"Buff!" She exclaimed, laughing, as she sat down beside Naruto, bumping him with her hip to make more space on the bed. "Why would countries have a force like that? Professor Iruka said pirates are ordinary people and that even ninjas are not called upon often to face them, only when the situation gets way out of control." She said with a smile while looking at the book Naruto was reading. 

"If I had the same availability to read books as you do, I would be as good as mom in seals..." She murmured. 

"That's because you're a wild one, can't even stay 1 minute without wanting to destroy anything." Naruto teased while still reading the book. 

"..." Sora looked at him. 

"..." Naruto looked up from the book and returned her gaze. 

"Hahaha!" 

"Hahahahahaha!" 

Both began to laugh after that. She tried to punch him, but he caught her fist with one hand and grabbed her waist with the other. 

"Hey, wait! Don't do that! Hahahahahahaha!" Sora began to laugh as her brother jumped on her, tickling her. 

"Hahahahahaha. Stop it, Naruto!" She laughed loudly, begging Naruto to stop, she couldn't with her brother while he forced her to feel his tickles. 

"You think you can punch me without consequences, sister?" Naruto joked while letting the girl beg him to stop. 

The door opened at that moment, and Mizu entered, annoyed. "Can you stop screaming, I'm reading my book!" She said in a dissatisfied tone. 

"You're lucky." Naruto murmured, getting off his sister. 

"I still don't understand how you can be so strong, wait till I grow up, you're going to regret what you did to me today, little brother." She growled at Naruto as he shrugged.

"Anyway, let's go out for a bit, dad and mom are cleaning up the mess made in the village by that traitorous elder, and Mizu only reads during these times, you're the only one who will come with me!" She said, looking at Naruto with puppy eyes.

"Do you think you're mom with that troublesome woman look?" Naruto teased as he put away the book.

"What did you call me?!" Sora had a vein on her forehead.

"Hahaha. Now you look like mom, let's go." Naruto said, taking the initiative to leave the room, and Sora ran after him.

They continued walking out of the house and headed to the forest, there was a small lake where they used to hang out, Mizu would come with them, but lately, she has been studying the art of seals, while Sora appears sometimes, but such outings among the siblings used to be more frequent.

Naruto sat on the grass in front of the lake before picking up a stone and throwing it without a care, making the stone skip twice before sinking.

Sora went next to Naruto and copied him, with her stone skipping 5 times, "I'm better than you, Naruto!" She laughed.

Naruto said nothing, just picked up another stone and focused better, the stone skipped 10 times before falling into the water. "How about now?"

"Tsk." She clicked her tongue.

They remained silent for a while but enjoyed each other's company for the next few minutes until Sora decided to break the silence.

"Naruto... Are you okay?" She suddenly asked.

"What do you mean?" He raised an eyebrow sensing her concern with his haki.

"Like, mom always asks and you always say you're fine... But now we've been in the academy for almost a year, you're alone... I wouldn't know how I'd feel in your place." She admitted, putting herself in her brother's unusual condition and not finding it pleasant.

"I can't say it's all roses, but I don't care much about it, I just don't like being treated like a delicate child, you... I can even overpower my sister, a jinchuriki and powerful swordsman, why worry about becoming a ninja of Konoha?" Naruto joked with a wink.

"You idiot." She declared dissatisfied, but went back to speaking in a more cautious tone. "If someone is bothering you, let me know, your sister will beat up anyone." She asserted, and Naruto nodded.

His relationship with Sora was better than with the whole family, he loved them all and felt how his mom was worried about him all the time, but with Sora, Naruto could let loose a bit, despite having had this moment in a whole year, since she studied and trained all the time.

They spent another couple of hours talking and laughing with each other until Naruto felt the presence of their parents in the house again. "Let's go home, I think our parents have arrived." Naruto declared, and despite Sora's doubts, she trusted him and they returned home to see if everything was okay.
