16 Chapter 16 : ATTACK

Lee on the wall fell back to the ground where the small metal bars that served as weights were and calmly under Gaara's gaze, he assembled them to form four pairs of dragon-patterned nunchucks, each weighing a ton.

He threw them towards Gaara before disappearing from the sight of the audience and Gaara as he had become so fast that it was impossible to see him with the naked eye except for a few people .

It appeared where one of his nunchucks was and hit Gaara with powerful blows. Lee was so fast that it seemed like he was hitting from four different sides at the same time.

 "…"

A silence reigned in the stands in the face of Lee's prodigious speed, they were completely amazed because the boy's power was clearly above the Genin or simple Chunin level and all that without ninjutsu or genjutsu.

Temari and Kankuro were shocked 'cause Gaara was completely helpless and it was the first time they saw him like this.

 Gaara tried to attack but to no avail, Lee was completely elusive and invisible, he was so fast and as Gaara concentrated his sand around him to maximize his defense, Lee appeared right above him spinning on him -self to kick Shukaku's Jinshuriki at the top of the head so hard that Gaara was sent to the ground.

 " GAARA GOT HIT ?!!!" Baki, Temari and Kankuro asked each other in deep shock. The audience exploded in cheers this time as Gaara looked frighteningly stood up with a layer of cracked and cracked sand on his body like a second skin.

It was his last layer of defense and Lee had begun to destroy it.

 "You...you're going to die for-(interrupted)" Gaara wanted to speak but Lee appeared in front of him and kicked him which sent Gaara flying vertically above them before jumping to join him into the air with his nunchucks where he began to deliver horribly heavy blows.

 Gaara was seen bouncing from one corner to another, Lee was invisible to some due to his speed but to experienced eyes, Lee would appear from one position to another to hit Gaara with a frightening combination juggling with his weapons.

Two nunchakus were used to strike and the other two served as support to move in the void, Lee's speed and control over his body were such that he could run on the leaves of a tree instead of the branches with chakra in the feet.

 After hitting Gaara so hard in the air, Lee sent him back to the ground with a kick that broke several of Gaara's ribs who before contact with the ground gathered sand on the ground to cushion his fall.

Lee landed gracefully on the ground looking at the injured Gaara with hope that Genma would stop the fight here, he was going to face Obito in his next match and wanted to use the gates against his rival, not Gaara.

 "GWWWAAAAAAAH...AAAAAARGH..." Gaara screamed in pain on the ground from his injuries, he was bleeding and had broken bones.

Lee didn't want to hurt him anymore so he called out to Genma to stop this fight but something happened, Gaara's chakra fluctuations changed and he released an intense killing intent.

His eyes became glowing and his eyeball turned black as he began to perform mudras and his sand began to surround him to form a sphere around him.

He repeated over and over that he was going to kill them all when the sphere was completely formed.

 "Not good, Gaara has lost his mind and he doesn't remember the plan. He's going to blow everything up before the time..." Temari said in panic but Baki stopped her.

 " Kazekage is here but there's no sign of this disgusting snake Orochimaru . It doesn't matter, Hiruzen Sarutobi is old and our Kazekage will be able to handle him without too much problem as for Gaara, he'll sow destruction in this village.

I don't know any ninja here who can deal with a tailed beast." Baki said as he looked towards Gaara.

 *In the main reality, I never understood why Baki ordered Gaara to retreat. He was just a weapon and he did what they took him for but without their consent, sending him away from Konoha when their goal was to destroy Konoha made NO SENSE.*

 Genma couldn't stop the fight, Gaara wasn't knocked out but he himself felt the immense amount of chakra emanating from Gaara.

Immediately in the stands, people began to fall from their seats and the vigilance of many went to alert.

 "Genjutsu ?" Obito exclaimed looking at the illusory feathers in his vision, he disrupted his chakra like Shikamaru, Yakumo, Sasuke, Karin and several others.

Where the kage were, a smoke bomb exploded and the Kazekage who was actually Orochimaru took Hiruzen hostage to provide the starting point for the attack on Konoha.

 Immediately, hidden in the crowd, dozens of Suna ninjas took off their disguises to draw their weapons and a clash began between Suna and Konoha.

Lee who was in the fighting area with Genma looked at what was happening around him with shock.

 "Kid, your fight was incredible but with everything going on, I feel like this final is canceled. You better return to your team, you are Konoha's ninjas so you have to act and protect the village. Think of it as a higher-ranking mission..." Genma said to Lee who first looked towards Gaara's cocoon before looking at Genma one last time, nodding and leaving.

 Upstairs, Team Yamato, Kakashi and Gai gathered except that instead of Neji injured and Tenten who had been unable to do anything against Genjutsu, there was Shino.

They fought against the invaders without much difficulty and it was necessary to decide what it was about.

 "Our Sunagakure allies betrayed us for no reason..." Gai said in annoyance while fighting.

 "Sensei, this isn't a simple betrayal. (to Yamato) Kinoe sensei, Suna is the village with Shukaku , right ?" Obito asked Yamato.

 Yamato: That's right.

 "This boy, Gaara...he's like me I feel inexplicably..." Naruto said and his brother looked at him.

 "He's the vessel of the one-tailed beast, they brought him here to serve as a weapon of mass destruction. We must not let him reach the end of his metamorphosis and kill him before he does." Obito said before dodging the attack of a Suna ninja and then driving his Kunai into the enemy's throat. Naruto approached him and they isolated themselves a little...

 "Bro, we can fix this without killing him, trust me and let me handle this…he's like me and maybe he's been through the same thing." Naruto said looking at his brother.

 "My brother, the idiot peacemaker ! It's not a comrade from the village but the enemy, I don't see what compels you to save him."

 "At least let me talk to him, one way or the other I'll be able to settle his score..." Naruto said as his eyes turned red and the Kyubi's chakra began to slightly overflow from him .

 "This chakra is Kyubi's ! When did he learn to control it...?! » Kakashi asked in shock like the other Jonins who sensed this chakra.

Naruto had deployed Kurama chakra for the first time during training against his brother. The fight was intense and he was so dominated that he found himself in the mental space where the fox was locked.

Since that day, in his training he has learned to control this power little by little but also to discuss with Kyubi.

 Obito looked at him and decided to trust his brother, he asked the others to cover them and with Naruto they headed towards the battle area where Baki and several Sunagakure ninjas were facing Genma who was managing to handle this confrontation with some Konoha Chunin.

Suddenly, while Baki was about to attack Genma from the back, he dodged a kunai thrown from elsewhere but he didn't realize the inscription on the handle of the kunai when immediately, Obito appeared where the kunai was in the air.

 As if things were happening in slow motion, Baki saw Obito appear there and spin around with a kunai in his hand, this is what he saw before his vision was no longer stable and became agitated before to feel himself falling until his own eyes saw his body collapse headless.

This was his last vision before the world went completely black. Such was the end of Baki, a powerful Jonin of Sunagakure and commander of their military force. Obito had used a wind blade on his Kunai to attack him, a sweet irony considering Baki had killed Hayate with the same type of attack.

That's how frightening Iraishin was, any attack became a surprise attack that if properly prepared could almost kill Anybody . 

 Naruto, Genma, Kakashi and everyone else saw him using Iraishin and the shock wasn't small for them.

 Genma: This Jutsu ...!

 "Kakashi, this technique is the one Yondaime used, isn't it ?" Gai asked Kakashi whose gaze was fixed on Obito, he could never have imagined seeing someone use it one day or with as much dexterity as his late sensei.

 "When was he able to learn this technique…?" Kakashi wondered as Sasuke looked at Obito clenching his fists, he hadn't seen him move even with his full sharingan.

Lee looked at Obito and only smiled while shaking his head, his rival was cut from a completely different wood than him.

 "Sensei !! " Temari and Kankuro arrived seeing Baki being killed and Obito looked at them giving off a strong killing intent, the first one who takes a step in his direction will die and for a short moment they stopped while Naruto and Obito reached Gaara's sphere which was getting bigger and bigger.

Obito placed one hand on it and the other on Naruto's shoulder before teleporting with them out of everyone's sight.

Temari and Kankuro panicked because of their little brother Gaara but they didn't have time to do much because Shino moved to face Kankuro and Karin landed in front of Temari.

 Obito appeared with the others in the forest of death as the large cocoon of sand was about to break, he looked at Naruto who with a big smile asked him to trust him and Obito told him that it was up to him to save the village now, then, he disappeared.

He could stay with Naruto and try to eliminate or stop Gaara with him but he let him cook, his brother wanted to be hokage later so he left him this future feat for his record.

 Obito reappeared in the stands as Kakashi faced Kabuto, he seemed to be handling their confrontation which was more of a discussion than a fight.

Kabuto looked with a smile at Obito who had just appeared and with disappointment he admitted to him that his master really wanted him captured but unfortunately the technique he was now using made him impossible to capture.

Kakashi asked him what Orochimaru's plans were and Kabuto disappeared laughing in a smoke bomb.

 "I'm gonna kill this guy next time I meet him..." Obito muttered and Kakashi asked him where Naruto was, Obito simply told him that Naruto was saving the village, he really didn't like Kakashi and he didn't want to talk to him so he went back to his team.

 "The village is in crisis so we can't stay here, let's deploy to help where we can and protect the villagers while killing the enemy." Yamato told the others who agreed with him, they weren't worried about Karin or Shino but there was an emergency elsewhere and they had to act.

Quickly, they dispersed and Obito sealed his weights before summoning a hundred clones who scattered to go into battle.
