Chapter 6- I Will Fight

The next morning, Team 7 sat at the table talking about Naruto's ears, "So, I think they are a permanent part of me," he reached up and touched them for the first time, "but they are really soft!" He laughed and looked to the group with a large smile.

'So, Naruto-Kun, I bet the other two are very curious to know why you have them in the first place," Kakashi smiled at the boy, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah," Naruto looked at his lap and his ears laid flat against his head. He took a deal breath then looked at his teammates, "I don't know where to begin. I guess you should know what happened the day the Kyuubi attacked." He sat up in his chair and looked his teammates in the eyes. "The wife of the Fourth Hokage, Kushina-san, was the previous container of the Kyuubi. The night he attacked was because he was ripped from her body. There was a man, an Uchiha, who sought to destroy Konoha by any means necessary. He went to Kushina and undid the seal, thus, the Kyuubi was released and put under a genjitsu by the man and forced him to attack the village. Because Kushina-san was separated from the Kyuubi, she was dying and couldn't have the fox sealed in her again, so her husband thought of the next best thing. My mother had just given birth to me and agreed to let the Hokage seal the Kyuubi inside me. But the seal was difficult. For it to work, Hokage-sama needed to die and use his soul as the seal. My parents guarded him as he performed it, and died protecting me." He looked at his lap the stood up, "the seal was called the Eight Trigrams Seal, it allows me to tap into the Kyuubi's chakra." He pulled his shirt and channeled a little of the Kyuubi's chakra making the seal appear on his stomach lumpy now with the scars of torture. "since the Hokage didn't tell anyone about who my parent's where I never learned my last name."

Naruto sat back down at the table and Sasuke looked at the boy. "Do we know who the Uchiha was?" He worriedly looked at his Sensei as well, hoping that he wouldn't hear anyone he knew.

"No, we couldn't find him after the attack. he disappeared." Kakashi looked at the boy, "but we do know he wasn't from the village, he was most likely a rogue ninja from early on in the war."

Naruto stared straight ahead, looking like his mind was somewhere else, "Naruto-Kun?" Sakura waved her hand in front of him not getting any response. She looked at her Sensei confused.

"Don't look at me, he just does that sometimes." Kakashi waved his hand dismissively and pulled out his book.

Naruto blinked and came back to himself just a moment later and looked the two teammates in front of him, "Kyuubi says there is a way that you can meet him if you want," he smiled an excited goofy smile.

"Really? How," Sakura looked at the boy with curiosity.

"Um, just a second, he said..." Naruto's face scrunched up in confusion.

"Kid, it's simple, just summon one of your kagebushin and I will use Spirit Transformation Jutsu and Combination Transformation Jutsu to inhabit your kagebushin so they can see me in one of my smaller forms." The Kyuubi explained rolling his eyes, "seriously, how is that hard to understand? Baka."

Naruto closed his eyes and was silent for a second, "He wants me to summon a clone, then he will do some sort of transformation Jutsu and then he will show up. but now I don't want to do it because someone is being a jerk!" Naruto yelled, looking down at his seal, stopping when he looked like he was listening to someone. "Fine, I'll do it, jeez, Baka fox." He summoned a kagebushin then a moment later, it jerked and started shifting. His legs extended and thinned out, his hands and feet turning to small paws, his ears grew to a long point as his face stretched into the face of a fox while nine tails stretched from his lower back, finally, the body grew orange fur and black fur on the ears and eyes. Once the eyes opened, the familiar glowing red eyes with black slits scanned the room.

"It's weird for you to be taller than me kid," the small Kyuubi looked at the boy, he was about a foot smaller than the size of fully grown Inuzuka Tribe dogs. He growled when Naruto jumped at him with a big hug.

"I dunno, I like being able to hug you since you aren't in the cage," Naruto smiled widely laughing at the glare he received from the fox.

When the boy let go, Kyuubi looked at the group and sat down, "I am the mighty Kyuubi no Yoko in one of my many forms." He puffed out his chest and swishing his tails with pride.

"He's. So..." Sakura started walking towards the fox.

"Oh no, please no, Naruto save me!" Kyuubi hid behind the boy but was betrayed when he stepped out of the way and let Kyuubi get tackled.

"So cute!" Sakura patted the fox's head and scratched under his chin, to which Kyuubi gave in and stopped struggling.

"Wait, no," he stood up and leaped next to Naruto, "I am the Kyuubi no Yoko, most powerful tailed beast and devourer of humanities darkness!" He glared at the girl then turned to Naruto, "this Jutsu combination is unique, we are working together to basically create a temporary body for me to inhabit." Kurama sits and grows serious, "in this form, all I have is my strength, I cannot access my chakra, nor can I access yours. Furthermore, the only way for me to return to you is if you were to dispel your Kagebushin Jutsu."

Naruto thought for a second, "so, right now we are like Akamaru and Kiba?" Naruto looked down at the fox smiling.

Sighing, Kyuubi looked away rolling his eyes, "I guess you could say that, though I don't like being compared to those lousy dogs."

"Um, Kyuubi-san, foxes are a dog relative," Sakura smiled as the foxes fur stood on end.

"I don't care, I am the demon fox, not demon dog relative." he crossed his arms looking away. "Wait," when he looked away he could've sworn he had seen, "kid, why do you have ears?" He asked, pointing at Naruto's head.

"Well, remember when I ignored you and kept training until I lost control?" he looked away pointing his ears away as well, "so there may have been some permanent changes," He had a small smile that showed his elongated canines.

"Oh, Kami," Kyuubi facepalmed, but then looked at the boy with a gleeful smile, "you know what, this is actually gonna be funny."

"What are you going to do Kyuubi?" Naruto glared down at the miniature demon.

"Oh nothing, I'm just going to make sure you will remember to listen to me in the future." he laughed then said full of malicious joy, "your ears, aren't only permanent, but I also will make sure that you can't hide them with any Jutsu, Kit."

"What?" He looked at the fox with wide eyes, "no, Kyuubi, please don't do that!"

'Well, maybe next time you'll listen to me and decide to take a break!" Huffing he looked to Kakashi, "It wasn't all your fault, he was stupid and ignored my warning."

"Kyuubi!" Naruto groaned, "I know I was dumb, but you don't need to rub it in my face." Crossing his arms and mumbling, "stupid fox."

"Naruto," Kyuubi looked at the boy with a look that said he was stupid, "we are still bonded to each other, my real form can hear you still."

"Oh, um, sorry Kyuubi." He fiddled with his fingers nervously. "So you can still hear me in the mindscape?" He asked in his mind.

"Yes Naruto," Kyuubi sighed speaking out loud, "what part of we are still bonded can't you understand?"

"Ugh," Naruto groaned and turned to the group. "I'm going to go make breakfast," then he walked past the table to the kitchen as Tsunami came in.

"Good morning ev- Naruto-kun!" She covered her mouth as she saw his ears twitch at the sound of his name, "what, how?"

"Oh," he laughed, "it's a long story, if you want, we can cook something together!"

She sighed and walked up to him, "only if I can pet one of your ears,' she crossed her arms smiling.

"Deal," he motioned her into the kitchen after she rubbed one of his ears making him laugh. "I was thinking of making some Miso Shiru."

"Great idea," she smiles getting out a pot and some bowls, "I have a great 15 minutes recipe we can make!"

"That sounds like a plan," he looked back at the table, Kyuubi was sitting on the floor nearby the group answering questions he considered trivial. "I don't think Kyuubi will keep his cool around them for too long."

That's an odd name for a fox," she looks at the boy, it seemed she was so caught up with Naruto's ears that she didn't see his nine large tails and didn't notice that he could talk.

"Well he's not really a fox," Naruto pulled out some green onions, celery, and tofu.

"Oh is he a summon?" She had let the vegetable broth simmer then added the nori.

"Something like that," Naruto chopped the tofu and vegetables while Tsunami whisked the Miso with some hot water in a bowl. Once she was done, Naruto had already put in the tofu and vegetables 5 minutes ago, so it was time to remove the pot from the stove and pour in the miso.

"Naruto!" Kyuubi yelled for the boy, "get these humans off me!"

The yell had frightened Naruto, making him almost drop the hot mixture. "Kyuubi, don't yell so loud, I almost dropped something very hot!" He yelled back, placing the pot on the cabinet and poring in the miso slowly while stirring.

Tsunami and Naruto heard a yelp come from the table, looking up they saw Kyuubi with his fur spiked into a Mohawk from his head down to the tip of each tail. Surely the handy work of Sakura. "Stupid human, what did you do to me," Kyuubi roars as everyone worked to try and not laugh.

Naruto spoke in on the mindscape to the demon fox, "there's a mirror behind you."

Slowly the fox turned around and froze at the sight of himself. He turned slowly to look at the pink-haired girl, "you. I will not forget this, horrible human."

At that, Sakura couldn't contain her laughter any longer. She fell back into her chair and started laughing so hard tears rolled down her face. "Th-the mighty Kyuubi was given a Mohawk! And he looks, adorable," Sakura burst, making the Kyuubi look away in embarrassment.

"Aww, Kyuubi-san, you look really good!" Naruto and Tsunami walked to the table and placed bowls as well as the Miso down. "Would you like some?" She looked at the Kyuubi with a bowl in hand.

"Well, since I'm in a physical form, I might as well," the Kyuubi looked away from Tsunami so as to hide his excitement to try food again after so many years. 

Tsunami loaded a bowl with some of the miso and placed it on the ground in front of the demon fox. When she got back to the table she grew a look of surprise ad she watched the fox, pick up the bowl in his claws and start to drunk from it. "Tsunami, Kit, this tastes," he paused thinking of the best way to phrase what he was about to say, "masterful." He took another sip. 

"Mom?" Inari came down the stairs, "why is there a fox in the house?" he pointed to the Kyuubi with a look of confusion. 

"Inari! good morning," she hugged him then motioned to the fox demon on the floor, "This is Kyuubi-san, he's with our guests."

"So now Gato can add a fox to his kill list too," Inari crossed his arms. 

"Inari! That isn't any way to talk to the people who will help us!" Tsunami put her hands on her hips and looked at the boy with disappointment. "I'm sorry for the-"

"Gato is just going to kill you all, he has too many people on his side," Inari yelled at the table.

"No, we won't die." Naruto looked at the small boy, "we have dreams and people we want to protect, and for that, we will survive." 

"My dad had dreams and people he wanted to protect," Inari marched in front of Naruto, "and now he is dead. There are no such things as heroes." Glairing, he turned to go back to his room.

"You don't think we lost people?" Naruto's hands were in tight fists beside him while he looked at the ground. "We are from Konoha, we all lost people. I never got to meet my parents because they died fighting the Kyuubi. Sasuke lost his whole tribe, and so many other people where we come from have similar stories." Tears started forming in his eyes, "and this world isn't fair. The same being that killed my parents is sealed inside me, and he even killed them because someone else was controlling him." Naruto looked at the boy in front of him with tears flowing down his face, "at home, I am tortured and beaten every day because of him," Naruto pointed to Kyuubi who pulled back his ears and settled his tails on the ground. "But I will still fight. I will fight for a better future, I will fight for the village my parents died protecting, and I will fight to prove to you that there are heroes- Dattebayo." Naruto whipped the tears from his eyes and started walking to go outside, "come on Kyuubi, let's go train."

The door closed behind the boy and fox, leaving the group in silence. "Is what he said true Kakashi-san?" Tsunami asked the Jonin. 

"Yes, but there's more to it," Kakashi looked at the table with sadness in his eyes. "The person who held the Kyuubi before him was the wife of our late Fourth Hokage. She was with child on the day of the attack, but the village heads did a good job keeping the child a secret. When she gave birth, an unknown man ripped the Kyuubi from her body and released it on the town. In order to save the village, the Fourth sealed the Kyuubi in his own son and his last act of Hokage was to the Third Hokage. To raise Naruto with no knowledge of his parents."

"You mean, Naruto is the son of the Fourth Hokage and lady Kushina?" Sakura had wide eyes and a look of sadness as well. 

"Yes, and he wasn't ever told, and probably won't for a few more years." Kakashi looked to the door where his student left. 

Naruto and the Kyuubi walked back to the shrine where he had trained the previous day. "Did you like Kushina Uzumaki-san?" Naruto asked the Kyuubi.

"She was okay, but she was also really scary," the Kyuubi shuddered to remember her temper. "Her husband was okay too, they were both exceptionally strong." He thought for a second then turned to the boy, "The Fourth Hokage was a genius when it came to Jutsus, he used one specifically that could only be used by someone with large amounts of chakra reserves, like you. I think I could teach it to you."

Naruto looked at the fox with excitement, "Okay! what is it?" 

"He called it the Flying Thunder God Technique," The Kyuubi signed the Seal of Confrontation, "using this hand sign, you channel Chakra to a seal that you develop then can teleport to where ever your seal is placed." He looked that the boy who held a look of confusion, sighing, "its a type of shunshin but stronger."

"Cool!" Naruto started, "what is the first step?"

"Well you need to develop a seal, it needs to be personal and easy for you to remember." The fox walked to the boy and pulled out a kunai from one of his pouches and held it out to Naruto. 'When you know what it will be, carve it on that tree and come back here," he pointed to the tree behind the shrine. 

"Well," he took the kunai, "I think the villagers gave me the perfect symbol." He walked to the tree and carved 狐 on the tree above the shrine. 

"Good," the Kyuubi looked at the view, the son of his former container at the shrine of his people. "Next step, sign the seal of confrontation, like this," the Kyuubi heald up his right hand with only his pointer and middle claw pointing from his fist and Naruto followed, "Next, imagine the seal in your mind, imagine that your chakra is flowing from you to the seal, now, channel your chakra to the seal." The Kyuubi smiled as he saw the boy flash from beside him to the seal in a blur of orange. the Blonde turned around with a huge smile spread across his face, "The Redheaded monster and yellow flash did good," the Kyuubi thought as he smiled at Naruto. "Good job, now you need to practice placing the seal, it's about the same process. Now hold something you would like to put the seal on, The Fourth would put it on some Kunai so he could teleport to anywhere the kunai where located." Naruto Picked up three Kunai and a stone from the ground. "Good, now hold them one at a time while imagining the seal and pour your chakra into the object." Naruto closed his eyes and furled his eyebrows, after about 5 seconds, he made his first seal on the handle of a kunai. "Good, now do the rest." Kyuubi sat to the side and watched as marking objects with his seal went from five seconds to instant contact, "this is definitely Minato's son," he thought to himself.

"What else? How far can I teleport?" Naruto looked to the fox with pure joy dancing in his eyes. 

"First," he put his first finger up, "the next step is to practice teleporting to your seals faster and to whichever one you want with precision." Kyuubi held up another finger, "second, you can teleport any distance from anywhere as long as there is a seal." 

They spent about two hours working on Naruto's teleportation, he was able to teleport on a whim now. "Before we head back you should make the seal on the tree permanent," the Kyuubi pointed to the symbol carved on the tree, "I have a feeling you will want to come back to wave someday."

Naruto looked at him with confusion but shrugged and did it anyway. "So, when we get back, what do you want to eat?" Naruto attempted light conversation. 

"I don't know," the Kyuubi said honestly, "I haven't been in a form that could eat and actually have a meal for about 65 years." 

"Wow, well then what was your favorite thing to eat when you were free?" Naruto looked at the fox with surprise. 

He thought, he thought for a long time, so long that Tazuna's house was in sight but when he spoke, "I don't know," is all that came out. 

Naruto's mouth dropped, "well I'll figure something out then." As he opened the door to Tazuna's house, he saw two unfamiliar figures holding swords, both pointed at Tsunami and Inari. "Hey, why don't you pick on someone else!" Naruto threw or of his new kunai behind him then one beside Tsunami and her child. He teleported to the two people in need then outside to safety, before back into the house to fight the men still inside. 

"How the fuck did he do that?" one asked the other, "Shit there he is again!" He pointed at Naruto. 

"How the fuck do I know, just kill him so we can take the daughter and grandson to Gato!" 

"How about instead, you tell me where Tazuna is and I'll only beat you up a little and drop you in the lake." Naruto pulled out one of his other marked Kunai. 

"You're just a kid, you don't scare us." The first one said, pointing his sword at Naruto.

"Okay, I guess I'll beat you up a lot then drop you off a cliff," Naruto threw his Kunai at the second man while charging the first. The second put up his sword to block Naruto's Kunai and the first swung his sword at Naruto, but naruto switched places with his Kunai. This made him punch the second one in the face while his kunai embedded itself in the other's eye. He teleported to the kunai in the first man's head and pulled it out while spinning and kicking him in the ear, knocking him unconscious. The second one began to run outside but only made it to the edge of the porch before Naruto jumped through an open window and dropped a foot quickly on the man's back. He then fell from the pain before being punched in the face and knocked out as well. "I was lying about dropping you off a cliff," he tied the two men together, "but the village may decide to do that anyway." He picked up all his thrown Kunai and walked to Tsunami and Inari, "are you both okay?" He asked smiling to them both. 

"Yes Naruto-Kun we are fine, but those men belong to Gato's gang." Tsunami pointed to the two that Naruto had fought. "I wouldn't put it past Gato to also attack my father as well." She glanced at Naruto worriedly. 

"Is he at the bridge?" Naruto got ready to run.

"Yes, so are the rest of your teammates." She picked up Inari, "we will be fine, go help your friends."

Naruto nodded and ran towards the bridge, "I hope I'm not too late." 

"I can sense their chakra still," the Kyuubi ran beside him, "but I also feel two other people, I think they're fighting." 

"Then let's hurry," Naruto jumped into the trees and pushed off each branch, pushing his hardest to reach his team. "Don't die before I get there everyone, not after I promised I would fight for you."

"Hey there, it's me!

I hope I didn't go overboard with the teaching of Hiraishin to Naruto so soon, but I was researching it, and it looks like its easy to learn if you have the chakra reserves for it. I figured that since Kurama has been alive to see both Minato and Tobirama use it, it's easy for him to teach it.
