2 Prologue

Naruto didn't ask much of life. He was giving it a lot, actually.

This life though, this blessed and cursed life, didn't seem to want to give him the same in return.

Coughing, spitting a last mouthful of blood, he watched, unable to help, as the new and latest behemoths of the Ōtsutsuki clan laid waste to the wilderness between lands. The frontier was about to be breached. The extraterrestrial beings always came back more powerful. Stronger than their past malevolent counterparts. This time the village, the whole fire country, no the whole Shinobi World was in peril.

......

"Sasuke!" Naruto shouted in fright.

Elsewhere, on another battlefield, he could feel his best buddy, his brother, letting go of his last breath too. He was already wounded before, and Naruto was uneasy.

The worst still happened...

"Fuck! Fuck!"

Clenching his weakened fists, and closing his eyes for the last time in his life, the seventh Hokage struggled to but accepted the savage destiny.

.............

In soul-stirring, body agonizing pain, the seconds seemed like hours to Naruto.

Taking a grip in the abject state of affairs, with his battle hardened, hard-boiled, steeled mind, he felt that from childhood to now, he and Sasuke were one of a pair... He just didn't think that they would even die together.

Today, Kyuubi couldn't do anything to heal the mortal wounds they both suffered. He could yell was much as he wished, but the fact wouldn't change. Naruto sighed.

Pleading to whoever for his sweetheart Hinata, his wife, and his wonderful, cute daughter, Himawari, Naruto let loose, let go of every burden. His bloodstained back resting on the sturdy tree behind him, he uttered with renewed, transformed hope, "Boruto, Kawaki, We're leaving the future in your hands. The rest is up to you guys... Protect everyone." Any other day, Naruto would've come back miraculously from the dead. He would've found the way.

Today, for some reason, he couldn't do anything to stand. He was really at the end of the wheel. It was the end of the ball, and the musicians had to be paid. Naruto was feeling the call, the kiss of death, as if a being he could never contend against was calling for him.

Energy and fighting spirit were quickly leaving him for hours... He was only realizing.

Shifting the heavy, difficult Konoha loads on the two children he raised, nonetheless, he was less despaired than he ever thought he would be.

It was time for him to go. To meet back with his parents and laugh with heroes, legends of yesteryear.

Dying with a smile, Naruto didn't notice his spirit, leaving the Shinobi World and moving through a mysterious portal.

What happened to him on the ground, happened to a woman he wanted to meet in the netherworld.

The same thing also happened to many other adult females. Females that Naruto met in his life. The ones who weren't dead the day of the attack, only died later. Of inexplicable causes.

Days later, after the chaos was over, all over the Shinobi world, people asked what calamity was caused by the Ōtsutsuki.

The real culprit notwithstanding, in truth, was now taking a well-deserved but not long enough rest on a paradisiacal beach... In a different world.
