Beep beep beep

I turn off the alarm without looking and go back to sleep.

5min later my shiny petilil jumps in my bed and start jumping to wake me up. Usually I would ignore it and continue sleeping since she so light. Today is special it's my younger twins brother 13year old birthday. Got to wake up early and help my mom prepare the breakfast we gonna have by the lake in Area #3 of our Ranch.

My brothers are just 2yrs younger than me, they are the same as me with a beautiful face, blue eyes, and light curly brown hair. Our family has a tradition that started with me the oldest to give their 1st pokemon at 13yrs old, and let them catch their 2nd pokemon at 14yrs old in our Pokémon Sanctuary, meanwhile you get strict training on how to raise it, survive in the wild, build its foundation…etc.

My parents were from poor family but got a scholarship from Stone Enterprise and were able to become trainers. They tell me that they both suffered a lot at the beginning for lack of common knowledge and almost lost their life. They want to minimize the risk with us so by teaching us what to expect in the wild and better prepared than they were, that they even give us our pokemon early even though it's illegal by the Pokemon Alliance. You need to be older than 15yrs old to have a pokemon and be a trainer.

When I was given Petilil I remember being shocked and telling them it was ilegal and them giving me "what you talking about look" with their response:

Mom: Whoever ask just tell them is mom Pokémon that your helping to take care of. This is a shiney so it takes twice the need of synthesis to be ready to evolve. Soon after your journey begins it will be ready, I am sure. They will believe it since we have so much pokemon under our care.

Dad: you should be a mid novice once you start your trip, so it will much safer.

I live in Blossom Town located on Route 123. My mom is a intermediate breeder and my dad is a trainer that retired, he was quite famous as he was eligible to compete as an elite four for the Hoen region. He said he was not interested and instead settled here in this remote town where he met mom. He bought some land and made a Pokémon Sanctuary. I just think he did that because it was mom dream to have her own breeding ground heaven, I mean he even made a trip to Kanto and Unava to catch some family group pokemon, we had no choice but to buy more land. If not for mom and me telling him that it was enough with what we had and we were already loaded with work he would have brought more. I don't want to brag but we do have a strong reputation with our water and grass pokemon. I mean we got the starters Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Trecko, Mudkip, Oshawott, Snivy! Those are the alliance royal pokemon that they control and only provide to the kids of higher-ups in the alliance or if made a huge contribution, plus they are hard to find in the wild so it's difficult to get even if you have money.

Oh in case you wondering the second Pokémon I catch was a Snivy. I am about to head on my adventure tomorrow so he is at the Sanctuary saying farewell to friends and family, truly a tsundere.

I head down the stairs and to the kitchen. I see my Mom already had everything ready and sealed so I went to wake up the boys.

I go in the room and do the same thing as Petilil, I jump on top of Aden first to wake him up and then Aaron, but he moves to the side after hearing his brother scream.

"Happy birthday! Hurry and get dressed we gonna have breakfast in the lake by area #4, unless you don't want your special gift~"

I said while tickling Aaron.

"Hahaha sis sto.. please!" Aaron said while laughing and trying to cover himself with the blanket.

"Sister! Are we getting our Pokémon today!? Is it dragon type!?" Aden said excited

"Yes! We want a dragon type Pokémon!" Aaron said even louder

Our parents are really generous and let us pick the type of Pokémon that we receive, and it's our parent decision what Pokémon they give us within that type range. I wanted a grass pokemon, so I received a shiny Petilil.

Their type choice was no suprise since kids they have always mention dragon type Pokémon and compare them to other types. My dad actually always been in the lookout for some in the market for these brats but they rarely appear and he was either not satisfied or to expensive. Mom told me that he reached out to his friend Drake for help and a trade was done, in exchange for my dad to provide some grass/water Pokémon to the children of his sailor for a time frame. Since they are commoner the alliance does not help them. Our Pokémon quality are also good and easy for rookies to tame.

After calming the kids we head downstairs and ride Bouffalant to take us to the picnic area. We arrive in 20min and I see dad there already waiting for us.

""DAD!"" Both of my younger brother scream and throw themselves at him.

" oh my look how excited they are to receive their Pokémon. Naomi I remember that you instead was worried and going on an on about if people found out" my mom laughed while looking at me.

"Mom! You always like mention my embarrassing past" i said while helping her unload the food from Bouffalant back.

"Okay calm down. Let's help your mom and sis with food and then I will give you each your surprise" dad said before the twins jump on him from impatience.

The twins quickly came and helped us unload the food and even organized it in the picnic table. Once they were done they looked at dad again.

I laughed, they were so cute like 2 puppies waiting for their treats. My mom on the side also thought it was cute but was more focused on recording this.

My dad finally got 2 friendship pokeball in front of them.

" this is your 1st pokemon take good care of it and make sure you keep silent of this unless you want me to take it back and the whole family in trouble" my dad said seriously to the twins.

They both nodded and promised since they also knew how lucky they were and the risk their parents were taking.

My dad gave each a Pokéball. They immediately clicked on it to reveal two cute little Gible, looks like my dad went all out. They look a little tired and from their size I assume they recently hatched.

My brothers were trilled that mom had to scream at them a few times to finish the food.
