Chapter 36: Sound Clan (1)
Sound Clan: Cheon Won Ryuh's Manor
It has been two months since Cheon Won Ryuh failed the test and got expelled due to a certain someone. If that was not enough she also got humiliated by that very man who made her fail the test.
Her mood has been bad lately. She planted deep hatred for that man who violated her. Recently enough the man she hated passed and became an elder, the First Elder no less.
Suddenly as she was contemplating and collecting her anger slowly, a frantic maid came running with beads of sweat dripping down from her forehead.
"Miss! Miss! Miss!" she called in panic. Cheon Won Ryuh stood up from her bed, opened the door of her room and asked furiously.
"What the hell is it!?" she said as her brows furrowed in anger.
"T-The clan leader is calling for you Young Miss! We have a very important guest!" the maid said frantically.
Her anger subsided upon hearing that it was an order from the Clan Leader, but she was still annoyed nonetheless. After putting on some decent clothes she got out of her room and headed to the Main Clan Manor.
As she entered the Main Manor she greeted the Clan Leader Hang Soyu.
"I have come, Clan Leade—" her words were cut off when she saw the man who was sitting on the guest seat. Wearing a black and blue robe with golden linings; an overly regal robe, string-like eyes, and a crescent moon smile accompanied by his long waist-level hair tied in a neat manner.
"C-C-Cheon Mujin!!" she screamed in surprise. Fear ran down her body as she was reminded of the traumatizing event that transpired within the academy. Her feet went wobbly as her head and face paled from dread.
Chen Mujin stood up from the seat and waved his hands at her with a smile.
"Long time no see."
Hang Soyu from the background, greeted Cheon Mujin.
"Greetings First Elder, Welcome to the Sound Clan. This is my granddaughter Cheon WonRyuh, but it seems that the introduction is unnecessary, the two of you seemed to be acquainted with each other." greeted Hang Soyu with a smile.
"She and I are quite close in the academy. It's unfortunate that I had to face her at the second test though. I'm quite sorry for that." said Cheon Mujin with apologetic eyes.
"Haha! Don't worry about that First Elder!" Replied Hang Soyu.
She seems friendly at first, but frankly she was feeling unpleasant since Cheon Mujin came in uninvited and just walked in without any formal letter. But she can't say anything, the man is the First Elder.
"Come take a seat Won Ryuh, you're being rude to our guest." She said to Cheon Won Ryuh who was still in a trance from her shock.
Won Ryuh nodded and took her seat with some warriness on her eyes.
'What is that monster doing here?' She thought with fear. Everytime Cheon Mujin does something, there is something malicious that is bound to happen.
The same goes for here. He didn't come here for a mere walk or friendly visit.
"Longjing tea? Hmmm, the Sound Clan do treat their guests right." Complimented Mujin as he sipped the tea poured to him by Hang Soyu.
"We always treat our guests with honor, and as such you deserve much." Hang Soyu said with a smile.
As the two Council Elder exchanged pleasantries, Cheon Won Ryuh watched in the background uncomfortably. After a few exchanges of pleasantries between the two. Hang Soyu finally broke the ice.
"As much as we appreciate your prescence here may I ask what is your purpose of visit here?" She asked Mujin who laughed and answered with a smile. He pulled out something from his sleeve and handed it over with a friendly smile.
"Hmmm?" She hummed in curiosity and received the paper, then she opened it and read it for a second. Her pupils widened from surprise, her eyes once again re-read the letter to see if she was seeing wrong but it remained the same.
"What is the meaning of this?" She stood up from her seat and asked in a threatening manner. Sharp wave-like aura started to be released as it threatened everybody in the room to pass out from the pressure.
Furious wind started to circulate around the room, making the paintings, vases, tables, and everything get toppled over.
"Aghh!" A yelp screeched out from Cheon Won Ryuh as she fell down from her seat.
But what is exactly in the letter that made Hang Soyu so angry?
Well inside the letter is a contract that states the Sound Clan should support the Emerald Serpent Clan through all their power as a clan. It's more like making the Sound Clan a subsidiary of Emerald Serpent. It's a contract of exclusive rights on Sound Clan's assets and authority.

Sound Clan – Emerald Serpent Clan Contract
This contract, effective from the date of signing, hereby acknowledges the transfer of power, assets, and authority of the Sound Clan to the Emerald Serpent Clan. The terms and conditions outlined below are to be followed and respected by both parties:
1. Sound Clan hereby pledges to provide full support and allegiance to the Emerald Serpent Clan in all matters, both internal and external, as dictated by the Emerald Serpent Clan's leadership.
2. Sound Clan agrees to render any and all forms of assistance, be it financial, martial, or political, to the Emerald Serpent Clan upon their request.
3. The Emerald Serpent Clan shall have exclusive rights to all assets, resources, and territories held by the Sound Clan, including but not limited to lands, properties, and any form of wealth accumulated by the Sound Clan over the years.
4. The Sound Clan's authority shall be subsumed under the jurisdiction of the Emerald Serpent Clan, and all major decisions, including but not limited to matters of governance and resource allocation, shall be made in consultation with the leadership of the Emerald Serpent Clan.
5. The Emerald Serpent Clan, in return, pledges to provide protection and support to the Sound Clan, ensuring the safety and well-being of its members, assets, and territories.
6. The Emerald Serpent Clan shall honor the traditions and values of the Sound Clan, taking into consideration its rich history and contributions to the martial world.
7. The Sound Clan shall retain its name and identity, symbolizing its historical significance, but will function under the guidance and direction of the Emerald Serpent Clan's leadership.
8. Both parties agree to uphold the terms of this contract with the utmost respect and honor, recognizing the significance of this agreement for the prosperity and stability of both clans.
This contract is binding and shall remain in effect unless otherwise terminated by mutual agreement or in accordance with the laws of the martial world. Any breach of the terms outlined above shall be subject to severe consequences as deemed appropriate by the prevailing martial authorities.

Cheon Mujin - First Elder, Emerald Serpent Clan

This is the exact reason why Hang Soyu is so angry. What Cheon Mujin is saying is that she should give up the Sound Clan under The Emerald Serpent Clan.
This is blasphemy to the highest level for her. If it weren't for Cheon Mujin being the First Elder, she would've launched her Sound Waves of Destruction at him and use all of Sound Clans Military prowess to kill him.
That's why she was so angry, but despite such ridiculous demand Cheon Mujin remained aloof, sipping tea quietly with a smile.
"Now, now, no need to be so angry, Hang Soyu." Cheon Mujin said casually waving his arm and making everything that has fallen to the ground rise up in the air. With another flick they all came back to their previous place as if nothing happened, though the vases remained broken.
'T-That's superior telekinesis!' Screamed Hang Soyu from her mind. She didn't even notice how casually Cheon Mujin addressed him.
Mujin then stood up from his seat. Then slowly a grand pressure came out of him making all of them kneel to the ground without exception even Hang Soyu.
A giant serpent seemed to have manifested behind his back as he stared down at Hang Soyu with a cold and ruthless gaze.
Suddenly a dark force qi emerged from him, the black wrist guard on his wrist started to disassemble and assemble back again in the air in the form of a brilliant dark sword.
On that sword a word was engraved [Sky Demon Sword]
"Here is the reason why you should give up the Sound Clan to me. First, I have the Sky Demon Sword, the rightful one, not the fake sword Cheon Yujong is holding, meaning by the will of the Great Founding Father Cheon Ma, I am the Lord of the Cult."
"Second, I have the power to destroy the Sound Clan. Do you remember the Whispering Willow Clan? They were swallowed up by my clan because I killed each of their legitimate members. Do you think I wouldn't do the same to your clan?"
"Third, I have the political power to do so. I am the First Elder of the Cult and I have the most financially powerful Clan in the Cult. I have already exceeded the power and authority of the Six Clan."
"And Third, you were poisoned by me the moment you came in. You just didn't notice since it's odorless and colorless. It's a poison that destroys one veins and removes their Qi, within the entire world I am the only one who has its cure."
"So I will give you a choice. Surrender willingly? Or die alongside your clan in vain?"
