13 Chapter 13

Timeskip 1 Year

I was in class waiting for the day the lecture to be over. I was very excited. After all why wouldn't I be? Today was the start of canon.

In the morning Mt. Lady had made her debut which confirmed the fact that I am at the beginning of canon. Today was the day Izuku would know the truth about All Might.

Well, obviously things wouldn't be the same as they were in canon considering the changes Izuku had gone through. So I have to make sure that atleast he receives One For All.

The teacher comes in class with a bunch of papers and addresses the class,"So as third year students, it's time to think seriously about your future as in what you want to do in life. I could pass some career aptitude test but why bother?" saying this he tosses those papers into the air while everyone starts displaying their quirks.

'This teacher is very unprofessional. Tossing papers like that. If he knew no one was going to fill it up why bother bringing it into class' I grumble to myself.

Amidst the chaos in class an arrogant voice rang out through the class,"Hey teach, don't lump me in with these extras. They would lucky enough to end up as side kicks. I am the real deal" Bakugo smirks arrogantly.

The whole class gets incensed by the casual dismissal of their dreams. Bakugo just sat there confidently. His whole demeanor screaming,'I'll show you why I am the best' sort of vibe.

The teacher looks at his grades and says that he has a good chance of getting into UA. People started talking about how hard it is to get into the institution and stuff like that.

The teacher points out,"Hey looks like Hidaka-San and Midoriya-San have also applied for UA."

It was a known fact that I was equal to Bakugo ( I have only shown a fraction of my powers). So there wasn't much reaction to my application.

The uproar began when it was known that Izuku had also applied for UA. Considering his quirklessness, it was a pipedream for him to dream of becoming a hero.

Unlike in canon, Izuku was calmly and confidently handling all the attention that was projected on to him. I felt pride looking at him as if he was my little brother.

Bakugo was furious if his expression was anything to go by and glaring daggers at Izuku."There's no place for a quirkless bastard like you Deku. Just fucking give up" he chides Izuku.

"Did I ask for your worthless advice, you angry Pomeranian. Go bark somewhere else" Izuku savagely replies to him.

'How far he has come', I think as I felt pride swelling up in my chest by seeing him standing up to his bully. The people in class are surprised by this development as they expected him to cover before Bakugo.

Bakugo looks offended by his reply as he never expected 'Deku' to talk back to him. He looks like he's about to 'blow a gasket' literally and figuratively.

Izuku stares down at him defiantly as he seems to stand his ground. The tension in air is too palpable.

Bakugo just huffs and leaves the classroom leaving everyone hanging.

As this debacle is over, I come over to Izuku and say,"You go on your own today. I have some work so catch you later."

I want this part to go like the canon so I can't be interfering in this. He agrees as this isn't the first time I have done this.

•Scene Change•

As Izuku is walking back home taking the particular route where he would meet his idol a crow seemingly follows him.

I am connected to this crow so whatever the crow sees and hears, I would be able to view it. I could have tailed him myself but I don't want to take risk considering that All Might is Number One for a reason.

I watch as he passes through the area where the Sludge monster is supposed to arrive. I control the crow to have a better view.

Unlike in the canon where he didn't even fight back, this time he atleast dodges the sludge monster's attacks.

The sludge monster disperses himself and envelopes all around him to bind him which works. Izuku still struggles his hardest but it is vain as he is getting slowly choked.

Just when all hope seems lost a flying blur appears from the sky revealing himself to be All Might. Saying his iconic 'I AM HERE' he sees Izuku in distress and attacks him freeing him from the villain's clutches

Looking at the power of that punch it's unbelievable that this guy is injured and not in his prime. Well doesn't matter I will surpass him.

And from here it was the same as canon. Izuku's obsession with All Might was something that was constant in this timeline as well.

After taking off to the sky with Izuku dangling on his legs, I make sure that sludge monster gets released to maintain the continuity.

As I follow them, All Might reverts back to his true form where the truth about his condition is revealed. Izuku asks him whether he can be a hero without a quirk to which All Might replies that he can't and tells him to pursue another career.

In the evening, there was news about a villain going on a rampage who had a student hostage. I see as Izuku looks on ahead to see Bakugo being in the same position he was a few hours earlier.

Izuku pushes off everyone as he runs towards the monster as everyone else tries to stop him. He takes out a gauntlet which he fixes on his arm while running.

Izuku shoots out a concentrated blast of pressurized air which enables Bakugo to breathe and almost break free. Izuku pulls out Bakugo from the sludge monster or atleast tries to as the villain comes back with more ferocity.

As this is going on I see a decrepit blond middle man standing in the crowd who is clenching his fist seeing the scene. He balloons up to his 'ultimate form' as he rushes towards them.

He punches the villain so hard that the fucking climate changes and it begins to rain. The amount of power required for this feat is absolutely mind boggling.

The day is saved, the hostage safe and everyone is happy. Everyone was going batshit crazy around All Might as he was handling the crowd.

The response to Izuku rushing into save Bakugo this time was different from canon. As he was able to almost free him from the villain there wasn't much negative reaction from the crowd. But the heroes still chastised him for his reckless behavior.

The rest went the same. As Izuku was going home he was stopped by All Might who then proceeds to tell him about the history of One For All and the responsibility of holding such a quirk.

Izuku stands there shell shocked listening to everything he had to say. And here comes the moment when All Might offers him to be his successor.

Honestly back when I saw this scene for the first time it was goosebump inducing and now it's ten times more than that.

Izuku accepts his offer as he sliently sobs and All Might has a fond smile on his face.

And this event right here marks the start of canon as all my preparations over the years would be tested and I would make sure to come out on top.
